Last time I was there was back in college, the first time I lived here with Grams.

Tonight's was for work. School fair thing.

Hung out with the peacocks.

Scared the bejesus out of me.

And my coworker thought it was hysterical.

It's not that I'm scared of them.

Okay, they're cool, I just wasn't expecting to turn around and have one in my face.

So she's like, there's one behind you, and I'm thinking like in the grass you know, away, not like a foot from me.

So I turned and jumped.

And she laughed.

And then again when I jumped a second time.

I'm not scared of birds!

Just was not expecting them to be that close.

Twice.

That's all.



The kids were chasing them around trying to pet them.

That just made them louder.

The whole thing was already chaotic, we had this pool full of bookmarks that kids fish out. There's no water in the pool, just bookmarks and stickers with paperclips on them so that they can be fished out with magnets stuck on the end of fake fishing poles.

Anyway, I think there were at least 150 kids that came and fished for bookmarks.

And I was in charge of the pool.

We had packs of stickers and tattoos and fans and bags and we ran out of fans and bags about an hour and a half in.

But it was fun, I'm glad kids came and participated.

I wish we did something like that for our end of the year celebration.

I think our school just did some sort of potluck thing with awards night.

The 8th graders were in charge of the awards, we got to give our younger classmates personalized awards.

That was interesting.

Remember it was a small school, our class was the biggest with 5 kids.

We started with like 8 in kindergarten.

And then by graduation it was down to 5 but there were 7 of us confirmed that year.

Oh, it was a church school, if you didn't know that already.

I'm a private school girl, grade school through college.

Now I work at a public library and go to a public grad school.

See what happens when I move out?

No, the schools were my choice.

I mean, I was too young to choose the grade school, but I could have left if I wanted.

I like the small school stuff.

You actually get to know people, you can ask questions in class, you're not packed in like sardines.

Grad school is different cause there aren't as many in the program.

I mean, there are tons in the program, but compared to college level classes it's smaller.

No, I don't know where this is going.

Today, today was weird cause I worked 11-8.

Which meant I got to sleep in, which was nice, but then I was off desk for 2 hours in a row - which was good cause I finished my year-in-the-making booklist, and made some posters for a coworker for Summer Reading - but then I was on desk for 2 hours and then I had lunch at 4-5, and then the zoo thing was after that.

So it was just a weird day.

And tomorrow's gonna be weird as well, I'm at the home branch all morning and then off in the afternoon.

I'm excited to be at the home branch, but it's kind of weird hours.

Oh well, will have time to do stuff in the afternoon.

Pack, so I can leave right away on Saturday.

Camp meeting, sending out application forms, woohoo!

Then I'm off Sunday and we're closed Monday for water pipe reasons, long story.

We got to choose if we wanted to take vacation, work the weekend or work at a branch.

I'm taking vacation.

Not sure what the others are doing.

Alright, so that was my day.

Very productive.

Then I watched some NCIS, now it's on to Diners Driveins and Dives though I'm exhausted and will probably be out by midnight.

Went to my niece's kindergarten graduation tonight.

Ran into some former professors.

Which is amusing cause now I get to see a former professor every day at work!

Anyway, these two were two of my favorites from college.

They made the quote books frequently.

Tonight's encounter was especially amusing cause Second Sister was like, "you know her?! how do you know her?!"

Um. She taught me how to interview?

Senior year, Placement Seminar.

Resumes, fake interviews with real professionals, portfolios, etc.

Came up with life plans.

Which is actually in one of my quote books.

I used to carry these little spiral bound notebooks in my back pocket every day for four years.

Senior year's was red.

Here's the life plan that our class came up with our first week.

1. Get born.
2. Grow up - eat spinach, drink milk, stop picking your nose.
3. Go to college - pick a major your parents like.
4. Get high (dramatic pause) paying job.
5. Find a family - don't want to see them, just know they're there.
6. Buy stuff - like a motorboat.
7. Get old - purchase many anti-aging products to hide the fact that it's almost over and you've missed it.
8. Die (or leave).

Wow.

There's a lot of stuff in here from that class.

"What's a Zamboni? Pasta?"

"Are we drinking before or after the interview?"
"Interview Rule #1: Celebrate After."

"Is taking a backpack to an interview normal?"
"Not unless you plan on stealing some office supplies when you leave."

Now I just have baskets of paper slips with quotes written on them kept in no order whatsoever.

So that was tonight. Earlier today was work.

Had another volunteer bail on me for training.

Been a rough couple of weeks to be the volunteer supervisor.

With the whole incident on Thursday and then I've got GoPo's coming in every day looking for hours cause they're due next week.

Trying to think of other stuff from today.

Opened the lab in the morning. Worked the desk through the day. Drafted some Summer Reading Event posters. Checked in lots and lots of stuff.

That's about it.

Graduation ceremony.

Kiddos were excited to ride in my car from the school to their house.

They're very cute.

Jammed at Second Sister's for a while afterward.

Now I'm back with my big fat cat watching a rerun of Wipeout.

Gotta love DVR.

Actually get to sleep in a bit tomorrow morning. Work 11-8 because we're doing an event at the zoo from like 5-7 tomorrow night.

So we had our last TAB meeting of the school year and spent it working on our Library Golf setups.

I figured an hour would be a good start and yep, gonna need a few more.

They picked out their supplies - we're sticking with library materials otherwise it wouldn't be Library Golf - so ramps out of books, archways made of magazine holders, shelves as borders, mailing tubes as tunnels.

It's gonna be fun.

But yeah, gonna need some more time to finalize those designs.

It took a whole hour before they got there to pull out possible supplies - myself and Bosslady. It's amazing how much crap she'll climb over just to get a nice box.

And she did it all in Birkenstocks.

Should tell the Reference Queen that could be her life motto. She wears them every day.

That and the teens were the highlights of the work day.

Unless you count being called by both of my bosses aka Boss #1 and Boss #2 within minutes of each other.

Both about work stuff, library and grad school-wise.

After work I went out to see the boyfriend. We got Runza and watched Kingpin.

Had to see the finale before I went to work tomorrow cause my coworkers watch it.

So I was totally productive today even though I only went in 2 hours.

Did more camp stuff.

Updated software.

Paid my bills.

Got cat food.

Did laundry.

Finished Silver Linings Playbook - the book - and then watched the movie.

Sad it's over but I can read it again if I have withdrawals.

Now it's on to finishing Warm Bodies.

On disc 2 and then checked out the book as well.

The movie was hysterical, the book is pretty funny but very very different.

So I'm interested to see how it turns out.

So this week is the week for season finales.

Tonight was Castle's, it turned out okay, at least I hope so I guess you never know what she'll say.

And we have to wait until fall, that's just mean.

I'm glad he proposed, I seriously thought they were gonna break up cause all the Twitter and Facebook feeds said to watch it with kleenex's.

2 Broke Girls was amusing as always. Glad they're gonna open up another shop and this time it's attached to the diner. Which is handy. And Nugget Buddies!! I remember those. Hurray for Happy Meal toys.

I love that every episode when Jennifer Coolidge first enters the crowd always goes nuts.

But she is awesome.

NCIS is tomorrow. I'm so far behind, gonna have to catch up online before tomorrow's episode.

Or I'll watch it when I go home this weekend, Mom records them.

Yes, I actually get to go home, two weekends in a row. Saturday we're having a camp meeting and I'm Sunday and then next weekend Sunday and Monday we're closed for Memorial Day.

They're both in my top 20. I'm worried about Judith. She's my number one but I haven't been as impressed with her lately.

The hype was so high early on cause she was Michael Jackson's singing partner, but now she's just being outshined by like Amber and Michelle and Sarah. To be fair, Adam has a really strong team to compete with and then Shakira's got Sasha which will be her saving grace. Blake has Holly and Danielle is rocking it, seriously, and then Usher has Michelle. People seem to like VEDO. He's okay. I'm really not a fan of Josiah. He's a pretty face but that's it, kinda like Dev from last year. Nice enough guy but there are better voices in the competition. He's made it this far cause he's good looking and he's friends with Usher.

So Usher saves him.

Kinda like the bromance between Adam and Tony Lucca from second season.

But I've already made that comparison.

Sorry.

Moving on.

Today was good.

Worked for two hours at the desk and then upstairs.

Have a really great GoPo that's gonna finish her hours tomorrow. And I have my TAB thing, we're gonna mockup our library golf holes so we know what we're doing day of.

On the other hand, apparently the person that I've been watching for over my shoulder showed up at work today. Thankfully I wasn't there when it happened but since they didn't get to talk to the person they wanted to talk to, aka my Boss's Boss's Boss - OH YEAH, it's gone that far - I'm guessing they'll be back tomorrow.

And I'm sure I'll be on the desk when they get there.

Great.

But it's okay. BossLady has designated her office as a safe space. Meaning I'll be running there when I see them.

Had some time to work on my booklist - Classics with a Twist - Pride Prejudice and Zombies, Sense Sensibility and Sea Monsters, Android Karenina, etc.

Been in the works for over a year cause it keeps getting back-burnered.

Am going to try to get it out before Summer Reading.

Cause that's when all hell breaks loose if you're involved in Youth Services.

Which I am cause I'm in charge of TAB.

Speaking of TAB, meeting on Tuesday, gonna have to draw up the agenda tomorrow and send out reminder emails. Basically we're going to be making up mock library golf setups so we'll know what we're doing on the actual day.

Excited.

As are staff, people are actually volunteering to help out - Infoman with pictures, branch manager from a different branch helping lead, Girlscout jokingly offered to caddy.

People are excited, I'm excited, it's gonna be awesome.

Even if it's just my teens that show up we'll have fun.

I have no real highlights for today.

It was super slow, I think I got like 15 stats the whole day.

Ate doritos for lunch, read more of Silver Linings Playbook, went grocery shopping after.

Did some dishes and some laundry, bought the new Pistol Annies CD.

Now it's on to The Proposal.

On my way out there five cars in a row all were towing cars. The ones they were driving were all dented and shattered and one had it's hood bungee-chorded to the car while the ones they were towing were in perfect condition.

If it was only one I'd think the person was eccentric, but five?

Am I missing a new trend or protest or something?

Work today was good.

Slow.

But it's finally nice out so people are spending their time outside instead of at the library.

Got to work with some cool people.

So far it's pretty funny.

Ended after only two seasons, far too soon.

This one has like 4.

Or the library owns 4 at least. We'll see how long it lasts. Right now I'm only a couple of episodes in.

And then at 6 was the last class of the semester. Listened to the last two people present on diversity stuff.

Excited to officially be done until June.

Actually have time to do stuff now after work.

All-in-all a good day.

But right now I have a massive headache so I'm konking out.

Today I got to write two, one that I collaborated with Superwoman on that went straight to the director and the other was for stolen DVDs.

Oh the joys.

The director one being the highlight of the day.

Low point?

Yeah, low point.

Basically I had to let a volunteer go.

And they didn't take it well.

Psychologically speaking I can understand why they said some of the things that they said, but it doesn't make them hurt any less.

Thank God for Superwoman.

Don't think I could have gotten through the whole thing by myself.

But it's over and there's nothing I can do about it now, even though it threw off my whole day.

Immediately after work I called Slim Shady who talked me down.

She used to be volunteer supervisor there, and it was good to catch up. Talked for a while until I got to the boyfriend's place.

Went out for supper with his parents for his dad's birthday. Afterwards we watched parts of The Campaign, some Will Ferrell George W. Bush special, Mr. Popper's Penguins and then Deep Impact.

Gonna have to get Deep Impact through the library, very intrigued.

It was nice to see the boyfriend after the crapsuck that was today and just relax.

Don't even remember the morning before the whole ordeal.

Oh right, staff meeting.

Ate more yogurt.

Learned about a cool website and more stuff from the staff manual.

Sent out the links to that Google Power Searching assignment we did for Internet Reference cause I thought the reference people might find them cool.

So it didn't start out bad.

And I got Chinese for lunch. Cashew chicken, that was good.

Had a really good supper as well, hot beef sandwich. So really, two of my favorites from childhood.

Gonna add a third and eat some popsicles before I crash.

BUT tomorrow night I'll be out and celebrating with the boyfriend's family. We're going out to dinner for his dad's birthday.

I'm gonna be partying it up cause literally all I have left to do is login to the website and watch two people present.

Maybe ask them questions if I really feel like it.

For now I'm gonna eat my popsicles and crash.

Got lied to by a volunteer, that was fun.

She's nice but there's a cultural gap and I'm having trouble finding things for her to do.

Other than that the day was good.

Off early for the class thing, after that I watched The Voice.

So I was spot on for both Blake and Usher's teams in my predictions yesterday. The only thing I missed was that Judith got saved by America instead of Sarah and that Adam in turn had to save Sarah and then instead of Kris going home it was Karina, but I did predict she'd save Garrett.

Sad to see Caroline go home. She was one of my favorites, along with Karina.

She's fiesty.

I'm really not happy that Usher saved Josiah over Cathia.

I fear this is another one of those Bromances like Adam and Tony Lucca during season two.

Not really deserving of how far they've got but they're friends with the boss.

Staff meeting tomorrow morning.

I hate it when creepers make up excuses to talk to me at the desk.

Though tonight's actually rather amusing because he had really bad timing.

Meaning Wordie and Queen of the Known Universe were there.

He looked around my age - anyway, comes up to the desk and goes, "how long have you lived her."

and of course I'm not gonna answer that so I ask why.

He claims that he just moved to the area and he wants to know where to meet new people.

Since I'm boring and don't go places I don't know the answer to that question so I turn to Wordie and ask, "Hey Wordie, what's a good place to meet people?"

and the look on the dude's face was hysterical. He went from all flirty to "aw crap."

Like he wasn't actually looking for an answer to that question but now he's stuck at the desk listening to people list off possible places.

Me not being one of them.

Queen of the Known Universe made it a point to say, "but you have an out-of-town boyfriend" letting him know that I'm not on the market - it was humorous.

So that was the highlight of the day.

I honestly don't know how the day flew by that fast. I did a wellness survey in the morning, used the copier and guillotine in the afternoon and worked on the desk in between.

After work the boyfriend came up. We watched The Voice.

I know, isn't he sweet.

Aaannd as I hoped, tonight's was much better than last nights. Blake's country team rocks and Shakira's got Sasha so she'll be in for the finals.

All 16 of the artists have performed the votes will be counted and then tomorrow night is the results show. Two artists from each team with the most votes stay and then the coach gets to save one other but the 4th goes home leading us into next week's top 12 performances.

After that I think they're going back to the competition as a whole like last year so anyone can go home regardless of team.

I think, at least.

I liked that last year. It didn't matter who's team you were on. Before the top four were always one member from each team but you lose quality singers because too many good ones were on one team.

Thought last year there were a lot more singers as well cause they went from 12 on each team to 16....now they're back to 12 that was far too many.

okay *spoiler alert* but dude, did you see Nicole land on her back?! that had to hurt.

I picked Rory and Drake from the start so I'm glad they finished 1,3 and Nicole definitely deserved to make it to the finals, she was a major surprise.

And it was ironic that she needed saving by the lifeguards with those big red floatie things since the role everything knows her from is Baywatch where she played a lifeguard and saved people with those big red floatie things.

Drake turned into kind of a jerk toward the end of the season so I'm glad Rory pulled it off and got the trophy. It was cool to see all the stars come back and dive again.

As dumb as this concept is I'm still hoping for a second season.

Cause it's surprisingly addicting.

And I'm curious as to who would be brave enough after seeing all these injuries to join it for a second season.

Alright, I'm gonna crash. Already midnight and I'm attempting to stop going to bed at 2 cause it's messing with my head.

The doors are broken again.

Poor supervisory people had to wait on the locksmith.

But I had to leave right after work cause I had those presentations.

What ended up happening was only 2 of us could make it - but there are only 8 in the class - and then the software wasn't working so I basically sent the professor my stuff and she was able to upload and then I presented.

Which wasn't my intention even though I actually was prepared.

Anyway, so yeah I went first and more people get to go Wednesday and Friday this week.

And I'm done, so take that.

Felt like I rambled a bit in the Q&A section, but the rest I had all written out so it was fine.

That's the nice thing about presenting online and not being on webcam. You can read directly from your notes and not even look up.

Which is what I did, basically.

Today I went over my Powerpoint and wrote down everything I needed to say.

Another joy of having the day off - well, mostly off - is that I have time to work on homework cause by the time I get home I'm so zonked I don't have the motivation to do any of it.

Which is why I'm on here and not finishing my final assignment in the other class.

But it's not due until Thursday so I have time.

I also slept in, only 'til noon, then did homework, then watched some old episodes of Bones, Castle and NCIS - yay Kate. Gotta love TV marathons, they're fun.

Castle tonight was interesting.

Not as epic as last week's.

And I don't know that I'm all that excited about the finale.

*spoiler alert*

I mean she can't leave.

It'd kill the show.

But you know they're gonna make Castle all angsty and heartbroken about her possibly leaving - even though she won't - and those finales always suck.

Just like the Bones finale, you know eventually they will get married but until then Temperance is just miserable because of stupid mr. serial killer man.

I'm hoping some humor will sneak through.

Speaking of serial killer men on Bones, watched the one with Epps and the head in the fridge.

Love those episodes and Gormagon, see those were awesome villains, this new one...I don't know if it's cause I just don't watch the show as faithfully, but I just don't like him as much as the other ones.

Not that I liked them, they're serial killers, but you know what I mean.

It's not as good of a show as it was before.

And speaking of not good shows, I love the Voice.

You're all aware.

But tonight's was a bit of a let down.

I'm thinking huge standout performances cause it's the first night of the live shows and Judith and Sarah and Amber and Michelle and Caroline performed but I was like ehh.

It was alright.

Gonna check iTunes after this to see how they're doing. Guessing not as chart-topping as last year's.

But it was basically "bare your souls and sing something stripped down" night.

Music stripped down, not people stripped down.

I don't know if they're trying to bring back something like Terry's version of "I want to know what love is" or what, but I wasn't impressed.

This is what I'm talking about.

Epic. 

I'm hoping tomorrow's will be better. It's Team Shakira and Team Blake's turn then.

So I hate that I like this song.

Because I'm really not a Robin Thicke fan.

I mean, "When I Get You Alone" is awesome, but since then it's been complete crap.

And then funny part is that I got this text from Second Sister - see anytime I get a text after 11PM I can guarantee that it's either Sketch or Second Sister - saying that he looks like a pedophile, which he does, have you watched this video? To which I agreed.

That of course led to the conversation of what other things we strongly dislike/find pedophilish to which I replied brussel sprouts.

Not that I find them pedophilish, I just don't like them.

But I do find big beards pedophilish. I mean Duck Dynasty big and disgusting. Cause they are the only beards I see on customers at work.

She said she didn't mind big beards but that thin mustaches and super groomed facial hair creep her out. She says that no one man should have the time and attention to create a tiny groomed area about his lip. She feels it's against God's will. It isn't addressed in the Bible, but it might as well be.

These are the conversations I have with my siblings.

We start random threads during the day, a couple days ago we got a text from Second Sister that said her son was watching Scooby Doo. She said "this looks like a really scary one, should we change the channel?" and her son said, "Mom, it's Scooby Doo. They always win."

That's my Godson.

Anyway, my brother replies with "thanks for spoiling it for me."

Today I got pictures of my youngest niece eating a banana peel and my oldest niece driving to get coffee.

Oldest Sister claims it was squirt's idea.

And that you can see the "scared in her eyes."

That's what Dad said the first time he rode with me.

I am not that bad of a driver.

I know a select few of you laughed out loud at that statement.

But we're driving down a country road and Dad's holding the door handle with both hands saying, "you can see the scared in my eyes."

Which I couldn't cause I was a smart enough driver at that point to know not look away from the road.

But it's become a family catchphrase.

Dad has a lot of those.

"Convoy" is another.

It basically means good.

He tells Mom to buy "convoy cherries" when she goes to the grocery store.

I have no idea where it came from.

Or why he calls all of the cats Shaver.

No wait, some are Shaver's Brother.

He also has nicknames for all of us.

Mine is Dude.

Cause I used to say that a lot. Actually still do.

Oldest Sister is Bunny Rabbit or B.R. for short.

Brother is The Claw.

Don't ask, I don't know.

Second Sister is G.R.

That one I really don't know.

And when I asked Mom she didn't either.

I wonder if Second Sister even knows what it means.

Mom called her gr once.

As in the sound not the letters.

Made us laugh.

Anyway, on episode four having a marathon.

Since I don't have to go in until 4PM tomorrow.

So I'm SLEEPING IN! and then getting up around noon to finalize that project.

I'm not so excited about this week.

Yes it's the final week of the semester and it will be over, but I have to be online Monday, Wednesday and Friday night from 6-8 to present and listen to presentations.

Thankfully it's just for a week, but it's a big time commitment.

Especially because I don't get off until 6:05. So I have to take vacation, which is fine.

Monday I'm going to be late - but I told them that already - cause there's only 3 of us to close. Wednesday it'll be vacation but Friday I'm off all day!! Woohoo!

I'm guessing I'll present Friday.

Which is good for me because my other assignment is due Thursday.

But Megan says it doesn't take as long as all the others cause the answers are already there.

Huzzah for that.

I updated the TAB website, added some photos of the party on Friday.

Sent out a reminder email about our meeting.

That they really need to come for if they're gonna do Library Golf cause they need to design their holes so we'll know what we're doing day-of.

Oh, crazy lady semi-yelled at me but I talked my way out of it. She has a history of it, but it was a computer thing.

Not my fault.

Oh there was also this big huge event at the library that took over the first floor.

Asian-American Read-in.

But it was more of a cultural thing where kids danced and I guess there were singers and then at the end people read too.

So it was officially a Read-In.

I missed most of it cause I was on lunch and then upstairs.

But it sounded exciting.

Yep, that's all I got from today.

Aside from grocery shopping afterward and then watching The Voice.

Have to clean out my DVR cause of this week's 3 live episodes in a row.

Sophie's freakin' choice.

And you all know how much I hated that movie.

Besides the fact that it's uber depressing, it's also like 4 hours long.

And she chooses the wrong one.

No I actually don't remember who she chose, maybe it was the right one.

I don't mind going in for 2 hours, cause it wakes me up at a decent time and I can run errands and all that.

Even when I don't go Mom brings me some - we make them in bulk for grads and weddings.

It was graduation day today, though with the rain it was kind of a weird ceremony.

Actually there really wasn't a ceremony. They got their diploma and took pictures and that's it - not walk across the stage and screaming and all that.

But my day was fun.

Ah teens.

They're so entertaining.

I was actually proud of mine today.

They work very well together as a team - stickering, stamping, sorting and stacking.

Today was our paperback processing party.

Remember in February when I took them to Barnes and Noble to pick out paperbacks for the library to buy?

Well they're in and cataloged so basically the kids got to process them, then pick their favorites and check them out before they hit the shelf.

Which may not sound as exciting to some teens, but mine volunteer at the library willingly and read more than my coworkers do - which is a lot - so they were pretty stoked.

They got sub sandwiches, chips, candy, pop, then picked out their books and took off while the rest of us - namely me - got to go back to work.

After which I headed out to Bek Kate's dance recital. She's super cute and Abby Cadabra alternated between grandma's lap and mine when grandma was taking pictures.

The theme was Winter Wonderland, which in any other May would have been out of place.

Sadly with the snow this week it actually fit.

Bek did tap and cheer stuff.

The finale was The Grinch. The girl who played it was fantastic.

Had the walk down and everything, like literally you could see that walk when the music wasn't on and you'd know exactly who she was trying to be.

Or maybe that's just me cause I've seen the movie too many time.

The original, the Jim Carrey one I've only seen three times.

After the dance I headed out to see the boyfriend.

Actually, Oblivion is much better.

I know, I know, I love Sam Rockwell and really don't like Tom Cruise, but it just wasn't as good.

Gotta love librarians.

When you get a room full of them it's quite the party.

See, the stereotype is that we're all super quite and like to shush people when the truth is we're the loudest ones of the bunch.

I don't think I've ever seen a librarian shush someone.

Maybe once as a joke.

Anyway, tonight was the grad party for the lucky ones of us who are done this spring and summer.

The rest of us have to tough it out until fall. For me first completing 9 more credits along with my 90 hour practicum at the Regional Center and then comps which is the week from hell.

Basically you write 4 dissertations and you have a week to complete it.

And there's no grades just pass/fail.

So I'll be taking the week off of work for that.

Along with all the time for the practicum because the Regional Center is only open during the week 8-5.

And I work 9-6 soooo I'll basically have to take like 4 weeks of vacation - at least. But I can't do it all at once cause I don't want to lose my job.

And I don't know if I even have that much vacation.

I guess we shall see.

Maybe I can work weekends and take weekdays off for a while.

I don't know, I'll talk to Superwoman about it and come up with a plan with Tom.

He'll be my Mr. Boss Man Sir for those 90 hours.

Where was I?

Right, the party, so I got to play bartender.

Obviously she knows my family.

The boyfriend would find that hysterical because he's convinced that I don't drink.

Although my brother thinks I don't either.

The truth is, I do, just not a lot.

Like I'll have one. Like every 3 months or so.

And that's usually only because I'm out with my sisters or him or it's some sort of family party.

I just don't see the point if it's not a social situation, you know?

Hence the build-up of liquor in my fridge.

But the party was great. She had a nacho bar along with animal crackers for the kiddos. Everyone brought their significant other (except David who brought his kid), minus me cause the boyfriend was busy fixing stuff. It actually flew by pretty quickly.

Kinda like the program.

I still feel like I just started and it's already gonna be over. Same with the GA duties, can't believe it's already been 2 semesters since I took over.

But I guess it has been a while. I did start in Spring of 2011.

And now I'll end in fall of 2013.

So it's kind of backwards but that's okay.

We talked hoods today.

Annette brought hers, gonna have to figure out how to order that and robes and all that.

And figure out exactly where I'm going. But I'm guessing the Library Goddess knows all about it. She's been doing it for years.

And she is going over there in the fall.

As is my boss and the Cool Aunt.

Superwoman claims the three of them can carpool and talk about me.

Not allowed.

Anyway, the party was fun. The usual gang of course. I really like these guys. I'll be sad when it's over but I'm sure I'll see them all over. One of them works down the street and stops by the library every once in a while.

Apparently she stopped by a couple of weeks ago and asked if I was there and I wasn't.

Which is rare.

So she turned around and walked out.

"I probably should have checked out a book or something..."

Geez library student.

It's okay.

Speaking of books, so I'm still stalling on finishing Silver Linings Playbook.

I literally have 20 pages left and my coworkers laugh cause I've had 20 pages left for like 2 weeks.

BUT I DON'T WANT IT TO END!

I love it.

AND! I got the DVD today so I'm gonna watch it tonight.

Probably fall asleep in the process because it is after midnight - I really need to stop doing this - but that's okay cause I already know how it ends.

But it's been so long since we saw it in theaters that I want to compare and contrast with what's in the book and decide which one I like best.

Cause BossLady asked and I couldn't answer completely.

Even though the characters are different I still see them as the actors that played them.

Which is backwards cause if you read the book first then you get images in your mind and then the movie comes out and you're pissed cause they don't match up.

Like everyone was mad when Tom Cruise got cast at Jack Reacher cause he was nothing like what's in the book, however, Tom Cruise bought the rights to the character so he got to play him.

Apparently he does that with a lot of characters.

But I'm confused, does that effect the writer of the novels?

I don't know quite how that works.

I'll look it up tomorrow.

Alright, I need to konk out but yes today was good.

Slept in 'til 1, went to the dentist at 2, NO CAVATIES! It was a chick dentist this time. She told me my teeth looked "super" and that I was good to go.
