I could write a blog. I have thoughts.

Life at the library, adventures with friends and other hysterics...

When I'm not with you I lose my mind, give me a sign...

I don’t like the new blogger.

Everything is switched around.
Just when I got used to the old one.
It’s like Facebook, why you gotta keep changing. Just stick.
Like Timeline?
Seriously?
Lame.
And weird.
Just weird.
That’s not Facebook, it’s something completely different.
And it takes forever to load everything.
Sorry.
Rant of the day.
Everything else today was pretty good.
Except when it was bizarre.
But not all the bizarre was bad, some was cool.

But other parts of the bizarre were not so cool.
So yeah, pretty good.
That sums it up.
Today was pretty good.
No major problems and The Voice tonight was actually I think the first night in a long time that one of my favorites wasn’t kicked out.
Nice.
So, I’ve picked the final four, right now they each have two on their team, but my guess for the final is gonna be Tony Lucca for Team Adam, Juliet Simms for Team Cee-Lo, Lindsey Pavao for Team Xtina and Jermaine Paul for Team Blake.
That’s my guess.
Even though I’m secretly rooting for Katrina Parker.
She did pretty well tonight, I was shocked SHOCKED that Juliet wasn’t immediately saved, but I guess Jamar Rogers did well last night so he deserved it.
Okay, I’ve hit my Voice rambling limit, as most of you don’t watch it you’re welcome to skip those, though I do have to warn you that they’re gonna be weekly until this thing is over for the season.
Usually I have Castle to follow it but not this week, that’s okay, Adam Baldwin as a guest star makes up for it.

Oh my god, except I kept waiting for a Firefly reference! Seriously, wouldn’t “you’re damaging my calm” be a perfect line for his cop character?!
Okay, not work, not TV, what else is going on.
Um, nothing.
Which is AWESOME!
Did I mention how excited I am to be out of school until June?
Except next week is when camp really picks up so I gotta enjoy this while it lasts.
Like Thursday, day off, middle of the week, gonna sleep in, watch some movies I have checked out, then get some dinner with the sisters for my awesome sister-in-law’s birthday.
Stoked.
I enjoy my siblings, they amuse me. And feed me great one-liners.
And now draw me pretty pictures.
Second Sister attempted “Vikings” on the Draw Something app. That was I think my favorite so far.
I guessed it completely from the letters given to me cause it was like yellow-hat'd people under a boat.
It was awesome.
Should have taken a picture.

Not that any of mine are freakin’ fantastic, as I’m not an artist at all.
Well, drawing-wise anyway.
But I write.
Not this.
Well, I mean I write this too, but this isn’t my writing.
Okay, rephrase, this is not my serious writing.
Not that all my other writing is serious, okay let’s put it this way, this is crap.
It’s fun crap.
And people read it.
My other stuff, which people for some weird reason are convinced is good, I don’t share.
Unless it’s for a class assignment.
Or a Sketch and Edit.
Speaking of, I have a few new ones I could post on here, but I should send them to Sketch first as she would kill me for posting them on here first.
Geez, it’s been a while, I think my last one was like…hm, let me check.
And that was crap.

But it’s fun crap.
Much like this blog.
Which is why they’re on here.
Perhaps I will throw in some writing on Thursday. Make a day of it. After I sleep in. I’M JUST SO EXCITED!
Did I mention I’m not really a morning person.
But you probably figured that out already, I dare you to find one of these that’s posted before 8PM. Or 9 even.
Most of them are like 11:50PM.
Rock it.
What else?
Oh yeah, the Wordsmith came in to work today.
I totally froze.
Gave me an invitation to his graduation.
But it was funny cause he’s physically told me that hell will freeze over before he sets foot into the library.
Like, when he gave me an Xmas present he put it on my car instead of bringing it inside.
Scared the crap out of me in the process.
But still, so yeah, gave me the invitation and then basically ran like hell.

Cause you know, it was about to freeze over, if it hadn’t already.
Crazy.
Anything else?
Um.
Not especially.

Oh, my cat is crazy.
But that's nothing new.

String hoarder.

And some empty shelves.
Which will soon be gone.
Cause they're already to the N's in Biography for the shift, woohoo!

Okay, on to the music.

I’m thinking classic with a twist.

Because it’s just that awesome.
Baby One More Time – Tony Lucca
You can laugh all you want man, but name one other American song that people world-wide can name by hearing just those first three notes.

2 games, 2 amazing right-field catches, an injured leg, some ice cream and a cracked windshield later....

Dude. Battle of the Lutherans took center stage tonight. I've never seen 7 innings go by so fast. But there were so many 3 and outs it flew by. We both have really good defenses. And we lost. By one. Freaking 5 years in a row with that team, man. Not cool. Other Flavor Lutherans pull it off yet again.
Their old pastor called them that to me once and it stuck.

But it was fun so it was worth it.

Homey G and I teamed up with the E-Free at 6:30 so we were prepped and ready when our game rolled around. Which led to...

Quotes of the night:

Steider
- "You switching denominations tonight? What would God say?"
Me - "Oh, we're mercenaries, didn't they tell you?"
Steider - "Ohhhhh.....but now you're all warmed up!"
E-Free Pastor - "Don't listen to him, he's just used to dealing with cold bodies."
yep, that's right, their team captain runs the town's mortuary.

That's what I love about church softball, the variety of people that play. It's like one-stop shopping. Parents, farmers, teachers, pastors, nurses...funeral home directors...

E-Free Pastor - "They been singing that song more than 20 years and they still haven't found what they're looking for?"
Allen - "I guess that's why they call it the blues!"
E-Free Pastor - "Aw man, anything but Elton John!"
as he goes up to bat. joking about U2. I love their pastor. He's fantastic and hysterical. even stuck around to watch the battle of the Lutherans.

It's so crazy that we lost. Freaking other flavor Lutherans came back and won it. We were winning until they scored three in an inning and took over. After that was 3 and out over and over. That bites. But we'll get them next year. As I can pretty much guarantee you that even if we get the games extended this year they'll decide they have other things to do. They just like to remain undefeated. I probably would too.

But the game's over. I probably could have played a lot better defense-wise at least, I got on base every time at bat. And I got walked. I didn't know what to do with myself! See, with our team, we swing at anything. Because that's how we play. We don't believe in that whole watch the crappy pitch fly by thing. Prince of Peace is more about waiting for the right pitch. So they take a lot of walks. And the thing about walking is that if a pitcher walks a guy then the girl behind him gets an automatic walk as well. So he basically gets a double. Doesn't work that way with a girl though. You get walked you walk, that's it. I think it's to defer walking the men to strike out the women. Which makes sense. But totally bites when you've got a runner already on second and they get to score because of it.

We hit the ball. I'm bitter. I'm sorry.

I'm still debating walkup songs. I got a lot of songs stuck in peoples' heads tonight. Homey-G was like, oh no! Not that one! When I told Tein-lou-ene to "Come on, Eileen."

This might make for an interesting walkup song: Hit me baby one more time...

"Baby One More Time" Britney Spears

yeah yeah, talk your smack. then find me a person in america that can't identify this song by just the first three notes. that's a musical legend.

We had some great defensive plays tonight, a couple of amazing catches out in right field, one running back and reaching, another sprinting forward, both made by women, btw - and then the cracked windshield after a few foul balls... see, there's a reason why people park their cars way way far away. I'm one of them. My brother broke my parent's windshield once. When I was in the car. As a tiny little person. Would have been interesting to see his face after that!

I, of course, injured my leg yet again. I did slide but that wasn't what did it - I wore pants, don't yell Sketch. I was actually rounding third about to score when I turned wrong and pulled something. I'm not going to be very happy with myself tomorrow when attempting to shelve things.

After all that fun and games Homey G Wigger and me went to get some icecream with Liz and my mom. It was her turn to buy. I picked it up last week and I'll pick it up next week. Hopefully they'll give us an extended season so we'll get to play more games. I like the double-header thing actually. It's fun. Except next week E-Free is gonna have to recruit someone else's girls as we're going to be playing against them. Unless they want us on all-time offense or something. That'd be interesting....

Out for the night. Send me some ideas for walkup songs. Otherwise I'm just gonna end up with something random like EVERYBODY DANCE NOW!
