I got to hang shelves at work today, which normally is easy, but this time the support beams were off cause one was upside down.
I didn't hang those.
No levels to be found, and I didn't have enough time - or motivation - to dig through the basement backroom so Bosslady's like, "I have an app for that." Which led to me downloading a free level app.
Which I will never use again.
So, the question is, do I keep it? On some whim that I will ever need it again?
Or delete it and then find myself lacking a good level if the need arises?
Whatever, I'll leave it and forget about it and then years from now I'll be cleaning out my phone and go, "what the crap?" and think back to this moment.
So the boyfriend and I finally saw Saving Mr. Banks.
Scale of Awesome says 9/10. I loved it. Way better than I expected, though I will never watch it again.
Cause it's depressing. But good. And funny. But still depressing.
I am going to put a hold on Mary Poppins tomorrow at work though.
Two of my favorites came back this week - Blacklist and Castle - along with the season finale of Major Crimes.
All three had their holy crap moments, especially Major Crimes.
*Spoiler Alert*
Love Beckett and Castle's wedding planning, but loved the return of his dad even more. I literally screamed at the TV. Pretty sure the neighbors think I'm crazy.
Blacklist was epic as always. I lost count of how many people Red killed within the hour. I'm still curious about the guy behind it all. He seemed to be his 2nd in command in the episodes he appeared in but we still don't know anything about him.
Major Crimes is done 'til the summer, I'm assuming. Crimony Provenza, that was a hell of a shot. And I love that it tied back to the comedy episode with him and the glasses. That was excellent. Plus Jeri Ryan guest starred as the obnoxious lawyer. aka Tara Cole from Leverage. I'm a fan. Even though the shot was epic my favorite part of the episode was probably during the trial when he got those letters entered as evidence. Busted.
Although now that it's done for the season I feel like starting the Closer from the beginning and working my way through to Major Crimes. By the time I finish it'll be on again...
Yes, I'm a nerd. But you knew that already.
Alright, that's all I got. On to the music and I'm out.

Hummingbirds are the vampires of the flower world.
I like that Big Bang Theory is so universal that I say one quote and everyone knows it's Sheldon.
Mahalo for nothing, Hawaii.
I remember when this show was still new. Sensory memory brings back my big silver TV and college bunk bed.
Scooby Doo sheets.
Oh yeah, I was one of those.
Speaking on behalf of all women, we had a meeting, it's not gonna happen.
Today was nice.
Don't remember really anything about the work day except flailing to the geek squad about computer stuff.
After work I came back and watched Major Crimes and Big Bang Theory.
It was in the midst of a MC marathon that BBT started playing in the background and I switched. Originally watching it on TV but then the commercials were taking too long so I put in the DVD.
But it was right before the 100th episode so they were really good.
I am so tired right now that I can't sit up straight so I'm gonna be out soon.
Apparently having a night off and spending it editing and watching TV makes me exhausted.
Yay for relaxation.
But I'm gonna sleep while I'm motivated to.
I know, I'm boring. Sorry. Usually I'm more entertaining than this.
Will be better tomorrow.
Or will attempt to be better tomorrow.

"And it gets worse." "How could it get worse?" "They dance."
Yay for Major Crimes.
If you haven't seen this week's episode you should watch it now.
Online if you have to, cause it's highly entertaining.
And if you have no idea what I'm talking about then you're missing out on life.
Especially if you missed out on The Closer, the show that came before it and has evolved into what is now Major Crimes.
Which I got multiple people hooked on.
Cause it rocks.
Rocked.
Well, Brenda Leigh still rocks, only now she just rocks on DVD.
Wondering how they're going to pull off the trial episode cause she'll have to make a reappearance as a witness.
Though I'm guessing it'll be years before that actually takes place.
Here watch this, it's also highly entertaining.
They did end up using that first "what" because I remember rewinding it over and over just to hear it.
Dang those non-union flies.
That's how I would sign all of my documents if I was her.
Today was awesome.
Worked 9-6 - huge amount of stats today though I'm guessing that will stop for a few days since we'll have no parking until Monday.
Ugh, Ribfest.
It was so funny the Old New Guy and I walked out together a couple days ago when they were just starting to set up and went "ah crap" at the same time.
After work came home and stayed there for the first time since last week.
This is literally the first night that I did absolutely nothing.
Except clean.
Lots and lots of cleaning.
And I finished Zero Hour.
I didn't know it was possible for it to get any weirder after that whole cloning thing but the way it ended....just....weird....to the extreme.
Revelations come to life but not.
Like the book of Revelations.
Along with character revelations too I guess.
Though I did cheer at the very last second to see the little boy and Vincent. That was good.
The rest was weird.
But I like the religious conspiracy stories - I had this conversation with a patron today - that's why I love the DaVinci Code and Angels & Demons.
AND I WILL finish the Lost Symbol before the movie comes out, it's on. I have two copies - one in my apartment and one in my locker.
It's just the whole time to read it thing escapes me.
Mostly because if I have the time to read anything it's as an editor - which I love cause Demi rocks as does her writing - I'm so far behind on any of my projects it's ridiculous.
I blame school.
Once that's over I'll have time.
Especially if the boyfriend does get switched to second shift, then I'll have nothing but free time all week.
Anyway, so the day flew cause we were swamped, got time to relax with my big fat cat after cleaning my apartment, many cat pictures were taken and uploaded to Facebook just to challenge the cat picture quota that Sketch mentioned.
Don't worry, I'm not actually one of those stereotypical librarians.
Though if he does get moved to second I might become one.
But Carter's so cute!
And with the haircut he looks like a lion with combat boots.
Cat in a box.
How can anyone resist that?
Okay, I'm done for the night, I promise.

Saw this commercial and it reminded me of something I forgot to include yesterday.
Cause it's dumb but funny and we said that about it yesterday.
Anyway, we were at the lake and on the dock and he mispronounced a city's name but for the life of me I can't remember what it was and I laughed because it reminded me of a joke that one of the "Favorite Aunties" told me years and years ago.
Three guys were driving through Beatrice and they decided to stop and get something to eat. None of them had ever been to Beatrice before so they began to argue about how it was pronounced.
The first guy said it was BEatrice, the second was convinced it was BeATrice, the last guy said it was pronounced Beat-Rice.
When they couldn't come to an agreement they decided they should ask someone so they went up to the lady at the counter and said "We've been fighting about it and we can't figure out the name of this place, where are we?"
The lady looked at them and said really slowly, "You're...in...Burger...King."
See it's dumb but you smiled.
So take that.
See you tomorrow.

"They have great marinara."
Having a Major Crimes marathon.
My favorite scene in the series so far.
I love Rusty, but Flynn is my favorite in that specific moment.
I still have last season's on my DVR so I'm going through them before watching the season premiere from Monday.
Ah today.
Volunteer training, intern training, computer lab installation - tables are up, chairs are here, all that's left is the actual computers to be installed.
Which I think are somewhere in the building.
It's exciting.
Except for the awkward carpet.
It's awkward cause it's nice.
As is the new lab - no more claustrophobic walls, more air flow and plus it's more ADA capable, etc.
After work came home, did some homework, turned on Major Crimes and now I'm off to bed.
"it looks like an insurance office."
"we agree."
Another long day tomorrow and then Friday I'm off!
With an assignment due at midnight.
So ready to be done and graduated...countdown to December.
Though at the moment I am halfway done with one of my summer classes cause it only goes through the end of June. Thinking of it that way helps me get through the homework.
The other class I have until July 31st to turn in all the homework.
Thinking I'll dedicate a long weekend or two to it and be done with it.
After I'm done with the homework for this one.
Alright, back to Major Crimes and I'm out.

Looks like love.
Okay, so this post will be filled with The Closer and Major Crimes spoilers.
If you are a fan and haven't watched them yet then read this later.
So, finale, thoughts?
Things I liked:
-Didn't kill off the main characters - my prediction was that it would end with a shootout and Gabriel would die and Brenda would be stuck in witness protection since killing her off would bring nothing but outrage and boycott of Major Crimes. Hopefully they'll make guest appearances at some point. Loved the "hi chief!" yell from Tao when she called Fritz.
-Ties to the pilot with the "looks like love" reference (that probably no one but diehard fans like myself and apparently the Cool Aunt caught. We were texting back and forth during the finale but she crashed before the Major Crimes debut)
and "that bag" which was also referenced a lot in season one. Shooting Stroh through it was fantastic and reminded me a bit of Kill Bill Vol. 1 when Uma Thurman's character shoots Vernita Green through the cereal box - ironically the brand was named "Kaboom"
There's also the similarity between everyone hating Brenda in the pilot and now they all hate Raydor.
-I actually kind of like Rusty and am intrigued to see how he's included in Major Crimes since he's listed as a major character in the series and have the publicity photos to prove it. Was good to see the human side of Raydor as well.
-Intrigued about the female detective, "i need at least one person working here who actually likes me", hoping she'll last longer than Daniels did. She rocked.
-Didn't mind the ending, though it helps that it isn't officially over and Major Crimes doesn't suck so that's muchly appreciated.
Since Commander Taylor is now Assistant Chief Taylor I'm wondering if JK Simmons (Pope) is going to be in this at all since you never saw the actual chief in The Closer until he was retiring and handed it off to Delk.
I'm guessing with all the lawyers it's gonna turn into a Law and Order kind of thing - not sure I like the who pleas and deals thing.
Anyway, it was good and I'm glad it ended well and there weren't major loose ends which happens a lot with popular shows such as LOST and all that.
Though I actually didn't watch that one. Heard something about a smoke monster and went, eh.
Alright, so that was good today, also got to sleep in and went in for only 2 hours, tomorrow I'm back to 8 hours but I can take it. Was starting to get spoiled with all this sleeping in stuff but now I'm finally recovered from camp.
Think I'm gonna eat a popsicle and crash.
