Gonna celebrate by watching my favorite episode after I post.

Yes, it is the show that will never die even though the network killed it.

Get over it.

But right now I'm watching Castle.

Had to see the finale before I went to work tomorrow cause my coworkers watch it.

Not liking how this ending is looking.

Oh.

Okay.

Nevermind.

Now it's okay.

Good.

So I was totally productive today even though I only went in 2 hours.

Did more camp stuff.

Updated software.

Paid my bills.

Got cat food.

Did laundry.

Finished Silver Linings Playbook - the book - and then watched the movie.

Sad it's over but I can read it again if I have withdrawals.

Now it's on to finishing Warm Bodies.

On disc 2 and then checked out the book as well.

The movie was hysterical, the book is pretty funny but very very different.

So I'm interested to see how it turns out.

So this week is the week for season finales.

*spoiler alert*

Tonight was Castle's, it turned out okay, at least I hope so I guess you never know what she'll say.

And we have to wait until fall, that's just mean.

I'm glad he proposed, I seriously thought they were gonna break up cause all the Twitter and Facebook feeds said to watch it with kleenex's.

2 Broke Girls was amusing as always. Glad they're gonna open up another shop and this time it's attached to the diner. Which is handy. And Nugget Buddies!! I remember those. Hurray for Happy Meal toys.

I love that every episode when Jennifer Coolidge first enters the crowd always goes nuts.

But she is awesome.

NCIS is tomorrow. I'm so far behind, gonna have to catch up online before tomorrow's episode.

Or I'll watch it when I go home this weekend, Mom records them.

Yes, I actually get to go home, two weekends in a row. Saturday we're having a camp meeting and I'm Sunday and then next weekend Sunday and Monday we're closed for Memorial Day.

Huzzah!

So yes, I was productive, and watched some finales, and then there was the Voice of course.

Elimination episode tomorrow, the bottom 2 go home regardless of whose team they're on.

They're both in my top 20. I'm worried about Judith. She's my number one but I haven't been as impressed with her lately.

The hype was so high early on cause she was Michael Jackson's singing partner, but now she's just being outshined by like Amber and Michelle and Sarah. To be fair, Adam has a really strong team to compete with and then Shakira's got Sasha which will be her saving grace. Blake has Holly and Danielle is rocking it, seriously, and then Usher has Michelle. People seem to like VEDO. He's okay. I'm really not a fan of Josiah. He's a pretty face but that's it, kinda like Dev from last year. Nice enough guy but there are better voices in the competition. He's made it this far cause he's good looking and he's friends with Usher.

So Usher saves him.

Kinda like the bromance between Adam and Tony Lucca from second season.

But I've already made that comparison.

Sorry.

Moving on.

Today was good.

Worked for two hours at the desk and then upstairs.

Have a really great GoPo that's gonna finish her hours tomorrow. And I have my TAB thing, we're gonna mockup our library golf holes so we know what we're doing day of.

On the other hand, apparently the person that I've been watching for over my shoulder showed up at work today. Thankfully I wasn't there when it happened but since they didn't get to talk to the person they wanted to talk to, aka my Boss's Boss's Boss - OH YEAH, it's gone that far - I'm guessing they'll be back tomorrow.

And I'm sure I'll be on the desk when they get there.

Great.

But it's okay. BossLady has designated her office as a safe space. Meaning I'll be running there when I see them.

Alright, I'm out for the night. Gonna need the sleep to keep up with my teenagers tomorrow afternoon.

The doors are broken again.

Poor supervisory people had to wait on the locksmith.

But I had to leave right after work cause I had those presentations.

What ended up happening was only 2 of us could make it - but there are only 8 in the class - and then the software wasn't working so I basically sent the professor my stuff and she was able to upload and then I presented.

Which wasn't my intention even though I actually was prepared.

Anyway, so yeah I went first and more people get to go Wednesday and Friday this week.

And I'm done, so take that.

Felt like I rambled a bit in the Q&A section, but the rest I had all written out so it was fine.

That's the nice thing about presenting online and not being on webcam. You can read directly from your notes and not even look up.

Which is what I did, basically.

Today I went over my Powerpoint and wrote down everything I needed to say.

Another joy of having the day off - well, mostly off - is that I have time to work on homework cause by the time I get home I'm so zonked I don't have the motivation to do any of it.

Which is why I'm on here and not finishing my final assignment in the other class.

But it's not due until Thursday so I have time.

I also slept in, only 'til noon, then did homework, then watched some old episodes of Bones, Castle and NCIS - yay Kate. Gotta love TV marathons, they're fun.

Castle tonight was interesting.

Not as epic as last week's.

And I don't know that I'm all that excited about the finale.

*spoiler alert*

I mean she can't leave.

It'd kill the show.

But you know they're gonna make Castle all angsty and heartbroken about her possibly leaving - even though she won't - and those finales always suck.

Just like the Bones finale, you know eventually they will get married but until then Temperance is just miserable because of stupid mr. serial killer man.

I'm hoping some humor will sneak through.

*okay spoiler alert over with*

Speaking of serial killer men on Bones, watched the one with Epps and the head in the fridge.

Love those episodes and Gormagon, see those were awesome villains, this new one...I don't know if it's cause I just don't watch the show as faithfully, but I just don't like him as much as the other ones.

Not that I liked them, they're serial killers, but you know what I mean.

It's not as good of a show as it was before.

And speaking of not good shows, I love the Voice.

You're all aware.

But tonight's was a bit of a let down.

I'm thinking huge standout performances cause it's the first night of the live shows and Judith and Sarah and Amber and Michelle and Caroline performed but I was like ehh.

It was alright.

Gonna check iTunes after this to see how they're doing. Guessing not as chart-topping as last year's.

But it was basically "bare your souls and sing something stripped down" night.

Music stripped down, not people stripped down.

I don't know if they're trying to bring back something like Terry's version of "I want to know what love is" or what, but I wasn't impressed.

This is what I'm talking about.

Epic. 

I'm hoping tomorrow's will be better. It's Team Shakira and Team Blake's turn then.

And that's all I got for today.

Slept in, reruns, homework, work for 2 hours, Voice, Castle, post and I'm out.

So I hate that I like this song.

Because I'm really not a Robin Thicke fan.

I mean, "When I Get You Alone" is awesome, but since then it's been complete crap.

And then funny part is that I got this text from Second Sister - see anytime I get a text after 11PM I can guarantee that it's either Sketch or Second Sister - saying that he looks like a pedophile, which he does, have you watched this video? To which I agreed.

That of course led to the conversation of what other things we strongly dislike/find pedophilish to which I replied brussel sprouts.

Not that I find them pedophilish, I just don't like them.

But I do find big beards pedophilish. I mean Duck Dynasty big and disgusting. Cause they are the only beards I see on customers at work.

She said she didn't mind big beards but that thin mustaches and super groomed facial hair creep her out. She says that no one man should have the time and attention to create a tiny groomed area about his lip. She feels it's against God's will. It isn't addressed in the Bible, but it might as well be.

These are the conversations I have with my siblings.

We start random threads during the day, a couple days ago we got a text from Second Sister that said her son was watching Scooby Doo. She said "this looks like a really scary one, should we change the channel?" and her son said, "Mom, it's Scooby Doo. They always win."

That's my Godson.

Take that.

Anyway, my brother replies with "thanks for spoiling it for me."

Today I got pictures of my youngest niece eating a banana peel and my oldest niece driving to get coffee.

Oldest Sister claims it was squirt's idea.

And that you can see the "scared in her eyes."

That's what Dad said the first time he rode with me.

I am not that bad of a driver.

I know a select few of you laughed out loud at that statement.

But we're driving down a country road and Dad's holding the door handle with both hands saying, "you can see the scared in my eyes."

Which I couldn't cause I was a smart enough driver at that point to know not look away from the road.

But it's become a family catchphrase.

Dad has a lot of those.

"Convoy" is another.

It basically means good.

He tells Mom to buy "convoy cherries" when she goes to the grocery store.

I have no idea where it came from.

Or why he calls all of the cats Shaver.

No wait, some are Shaver's Brother.

He also has nicknames for all of us.

Mine is Dude.

Cause I used to say that a lot. Actually still do.

Oldest Sister is Bunny Rabbit or B.R. for short.

Brother is The Claw.

Don't ask, I don't know.

Second Sister is G.R.

That one I really don't know.

And when I asked Mom she didn't either.

I wonder if Second Sister even knows what it means.

Mom called her gr once.

As in the sound not the letters.

Made us laugh.


alright, i should really stop rambling and sleep.

Watched "Red Tails" with the boyfriend tonight.

It was incredibly cheesy. 

Even for George Lucas. 

And I say that in the nicest possible way, I'm a Star Wars nerd. 

But even that has moments of cheesiness. 

It was interesting because if you closed your eyes you could still hear Star Wars.... if that makes sense, I don't know there was a lot of shooting and flying vehicles and all that.

Cuba Gooding Jr. and Terrence Howard did fairly well, but they weren't in it all that much. 

I like Daniela Ruah from NCIS:LA so it was interesting seeing her in a non-English-speaking role. 

And I mean it was a good story, it was, it's just that okay *SPOILER ALERT* like none of them died. 

Until the end. 

But they were rookie pilots pulling crazy stunts against experienced ones with better planes.

Even the one whose plane leaked gas and caught fire when it crash-landed survived. 

He was like, "wait, is one of them really going to die?" 

Nope. 

Eventually yes, but even the dialogue was cheesy. There were a lot of moments when I stopped watching and was like, really?

Scale of Awesome says about 4/10. There were some good lines, and they meant well, so I've got to give them something, you know?

They just didn't pull it off. 

So that was a bit disappointing, but at least I got to see the boyfriend since he was gone this weekend and he'll be gone again this upcoming weekend.

Now I'm back to delayed olympics - US women's basketball just beat China, and US women's volleyball is currently up one set to Turkey.

Work was better today, I didn't screw up as often as yesterday so that's a bonus. Made a lot of progress on a booklist that got back-burnered because of camp and other library-related stuff, mostly Summer Reading. But now that's okay, well it's supposed to be over but apparently we're still handing out prizes until like Winter.

Which is fine, I don't want to turn kids away, I'm all about kids in the library, but now things have slowed down enough that I can focus on the fact that TAB is starting soon and that I'm still completely unprepared. Hopefully Thursday will help, we're getting together for TAM, which I've learned stands for "Thursday Afternoon Meeting".

Though it usually says "TAM Meeting" on the schedule so kind of kills that whole abbreviation thing with redundancy.

Anyway, I'm going to flail to the fellow leaders of TAB - aka other branch leaders - and ask them for advice on activities and meetings. I have lots of tips from Mentor but she's encouraged me to talk to others as well so learn about their different approaches.

So I can find one that works for me, basically.

But they're good kids and actually show up for meetings and participate so I'm grateful.

Alright, enough about that, I'm gonna crash. Starving actually, just realize I haven't eaten anything since that polish dog at lunch. Should probably work on that, popsicles or something. That's basically all that's in my fridge since I emptied it out before camp and haven't went shopping since.

I think there's some icecream cake in there from my birthday, should probably toss that.

Which just reminds me that I'm old.

Well, older than I was February 18th, I don't know where I'm going with this. Gonna get food and watch some more olympics before I crash.

Well, the party never stops on Selina Kyle's answering machine.

Saw the Dark Knight Rises tonight.



Was pretty good.

A little long, but pretty good.

Scale of Awesome says about a 8.5/10.

The boyfriend predicted the ending, of course. He does that a lot cause he's smart like that.

But I liked it.

Spoiler alert so if you don't want them then don't read them.

Brought a lot of past characters into this one so that was amusing. Though their choice of villain was a little random. I was expecting him to be scarier, his voice threw me off. I thought it would be deeper and more threatening.

But then again Christian Bale's voice is supposed to be all deep and threatening so maybe they decided to go a different way.

Interesting twist that Catwoman was actually not such a bad chick in this one.

And Anne Hathaway pulled the role off, despite her earlier rejection of the character.

She thought that Michelle Pfeiffer was the ultimate Catwoman, and initially thought she would play someone else.

But she did alright. The thought of her and Steve Carell as action stars made me laugh in Get Smart, but actually she can be pretty badass. Even as Agent 99.

Christian Bale was great as always. I like this interpretation of the Batman series, though I wish there would be more. Especially with the way they ended it.

Glad they brought back the whole cast in this one, unlike the Katie Holmes vs. Maggie Gyllenhaal with the other two.

Anyway, I'd see it again before it leaves the theater.

I'm a big fan of Joseph Gordon Levitt so it was cool to see him in this one.

Apparently it was like an Inception reunion, which of course I haven't seen. Me being the only person on the planet, I know, it's on my list.

It did amuse me greatly that Will Lamontagne was Bane's right hand man.

Alright, had a big day. Went around to take pictures of all the sculptures. One judge has already placed their vote, just waiting on the second and then the Library Director's if it's a tie.

All I have left for that is to pick everything up on Monday, send in the stuff and I'm done!

After that it was camp central but we got a lot done and now all I have to do is write skits.

And fast as I leave like Thursday.

Only like 6 to write, I can do that. I'll come up with something.

Church tomorrow and a reunion so I should crash.

Every time I come home there seems to be something going on.
