I could write a blog. I have thoughts.

Life at the library, adventures with friends and other hysterics...

Dr. Seuss is my favorite rapper.

So I woke up to like 16 missed messages and I freaked out cause I assumed they were from the boyfriend saying he was gonna be switched to second, but no, they were all from the women in my family about food for the graduation party on Saturday.

Meat and cheese trays, chili, chips and salsa, salads, cake, mints, punch, and a whole lot of liquor make up the menu. It should be fun.

Interesting day at the library.

Had a lot of fun with the Queen of the Known Universe. I'm pretty sure we scared off an aide after she called me a bitch and I laughed.

He's new.

And there's more to that story but I can't tell you.

It was a joke, by the way.

I mean, I hope I'm not actually a bitch, though I was giving her crap so I deserved it.

Preceding that was a staff meeting - we're rearranging. The back room is done so now it's on to second floor, next will be the front desk - and following that was holiday party shopping for TAB.

Ordered my pizza to be picked up Saturday morning, got my ice cream, fruit, juice, and eggnog.

Which is gross, btw, but they like it.

I don't get it.

But the party was a lot of fun last year with pizza, ice cream and board games so we're doing it again. This time minus the secret santa/white elephant thing.

Should be fun.

So I was all over the place all day and I'm glad to be sitting now.

Though a night off meant I had to do everything I avoided all week once I got home.

Paperwork, paperwork, and more paperwork.

And mailing camp stuff.

Blah.

But that's okay, it's done now.

I can celebrate. And I'll do that by watching the Sing Off.

It is a 2 week event so it's on constantly. I'm loving Home Free, the rest are pretty good too, but they're the clear front-runner.

I'm getting really excited with all these Olympic commercials on.

I love the Olympics, I'm a total nerd. I watch them all.

Though the skiing and shooting thing, where they ski with guns on their back kind of freaks me out.

I don't remember what that one is called, but is that seriously a sport? It's madness.

Mom is into the figure skating so we always used to watch that. So is Grams.

I love all the snowboarding stuff and the big jumps.

Way cool.

Alright, that's all the rambling I've got for the night.

Think I'm gonna konk out early. Exhausted after today.

On to the music, Christmas Music that Doesn't Suck: Day Six

Willie Nelson Wants You Back

I have tomorrow off! Dude! The whole day! From both places! That never happens! Except when I have class...and I don't have class!! So guess how I'm gonna spend my day off?!?! Doing homework! For class!

Well, that's the plan at least. I'll probably throw in a marathon of SVU as well. I mean, you can only read about leadership and draw blueprints of libraries for so long before your head explodes.

Today was good. Got to sleep in this morning.

I actually got to talk to Second Sister today. Which is shocking as I haven't talked to her in like a month. This is usually because I'm always working or she's always working. And she'll leave a message and I won't get it until she's sleeping. And it's best not to wake up a pregnant woman. That I've learned.
She's as busy as ever, but at least she's not changing her child's name.
Me: "Why are you changing the baby's name?"
SS: "Because I'm pregnant and bored!"

but that was 1 kid ago. I'm proud to say I'm the first person to know about the last two kids - other than her husband of course. But me finding out this last one was mostly a fluke.

*I get in the car*
SS: "Are you wearing perfume?"
Me: "Are you pregnant?"
*looks away*

yep. two seconds. i rock.

But I never know what they're having. They keep that a secret. Maybe it'll be a boy and make the numbers even that way there's less pressure for me. Cause that ain't happening any time soon. There are currently 4 girls and 3 boys for grandkids. Maybe I should root for a boy. Hmm...

Talking to her was pretty much the highlight of the day, as it hasn't happened in forever. Also talked to Mom today, which has been a rarity lately as well, but they're harvesting so that's a valid excuse. Is that how you spell that? I haven't used it in a while. Rarity. Another word I don't use as often, "nab" which Glee-Loving Boss said the other day. I paused. It's a good word but no one uses it anymore. We should bring it back. The Nab taskforce. I'm all about taskforces. Maybe I should make nab stand for something to make it more effective. National Antidisestablishmentarianism Bonanza. I have no idea what it means but I can say it and that's all that matters.

After that it was just missing my adopted sister at the library. Dang lunch breaks always have bad timing. Oh well, I'll see her around, now that she actually is around.

I love my job, especially my coworkers. Of course today my Glee-Loving Boss was teasing me some more about flu shots, saying he and Joe Studley would each hold me down so I could get the shot.

It's on man, I gotta figure out something to get him back for yesterday's flyer.

Midwest Music for the night you get Texas and North Dakota. There, I've gotten the whole line of us. I think. Yeah. I did. Which means tomorrow is a free for all. Meaning I'll try to throw in something that's not Texas.

"Ohio (Come Back to Texas)" Bowling For Soup

willie nelson wants you back...

and jumping up a bit

"The Fargo Song" Jewel

she writes a song about pretty much every city she visits, you can find them on youtube.

here's another. i think i like this one better.

"The Kansas City Song" Jewel

"the paris of the plains"

And just because it was stuck in my head today:

"You Never Can Tell" Chuck Berry

aka the dance scene from Pulp Fiction

though i'm still singing all my ex's live in texas...

Oh no, the babysitter exploded!

I'm stoked! They're bringing back "All That"! Well, re-running it anyway. If you've never heard of it it's like the kids version of SNL. It ran on Nickelodeon from '94 to about 2005. Basically launched the careers of Kenan Thompson, Amanda Bynes, Nick Cannon, etc. I find it awesome that Kenan is now on SNL.
Now they're bringing it back from like midnight to 4 along with a bunch of other awesome 90's shows and calling it "The 90's Are All That" with the All That logo. It'll be like "the Amanda Show" - "court dismissed! bring in the dancin' lobsters!", Clarissa Explains it All, Kenan & Kel, Doug, ROCKET POWER! Which I'm stoked for! I was a total skater nerd because of that show. I sucked but I was still a skater nerd. Hence the "hawk" in erynhawk.

Anyway, All That - they did this one spoof of Harry Potter called OHMYGOD I found it!!! I've been looking for this clip for years!!! Sorry, did I mention stoked?
Spoof of Harry Potter called Harry Bladder and he battled Lord Moldyshorts. And then there was Re-Ron and HerHiney as his best friends. And it was hysterical.

AND I FOUND IT!
just ignore the first sketch.

"Look what you've done to HerHiney!"

I remember it being less awkward. But dude! I've like googled this skit in so many ways that I'd given up. But it lives! It lives!
Episode was hosted by Melissa Joan Hart with Usher as the musical guest.

But yeah, it's like mini-SNL with all the sketches and all that. That particular one has haunted me for years. I can remember where I was and who I was with when I saw it the first time. Seriously. I have no idea why. But I do.

And yeah, stoked. It's supposed to start on the 25th then of course I'll be at camp so I'll miss a lot of them. I don't know how long it's gonna last. I'll watch them online.

Okay, gotta zen myself out. Songs for the night:

You Were Meant For Me - Jewel

love her.

Who Will Save Your Save - Jewel

i find her intro completely fascinating. kermit the frog. hilarious. love the variations of her voice.

did i mention i was a nerd.

Okay, gonna Warehouse it up. Yes, nerd. Get it out. Just say it. I know you want to. I'm a nerd. But you're the one still reading this.

out!

Judge Trudy from The Amanda Show

because i know my uncle is such a big fan of foreign subtitles.

"Look, we can but-hey all day but you're still gonna lose!"

COURT DISMISSED BRING IN THE DANCIN' LOBSTERS!
