Apparently pepper is healthy for you whereas salt is unhealthy. So, when sprinkling something with seasoning it is better for you if you choose pepper over salt. Who knew? So she did 25 pepper shakes and 1 salt shake. Awesomeness.
Gotta love family. My aunt and uncle moved here into this like awesome house, it's seriously impressive. We all went out to dinner then came back for a tour of the house. Lots of people. But awesome house. I'm super jealous. It was funny though because they were talking about how much stuff they had and then they were like, "the only thing worse would be moving your parents." Because seriously, my parents have a lot of stuff. Model trains, old cars, beanie babies, beer mugs, who knows what else is in that basement. Madness. They're never moving. We won't let them. Seriously.
Irony is that I was just talking about my aunt and uncle today at work. They live in Iowa. I used to go over to their house and play pool then go to Adventureland and all that. Ride all the roller coasters. Fun times. My uncle used to go on all of them with me, we liked to be in the front. I would like scream at the top of the hill going down and he would just put his hands up, haha.
After dinner/house tour we went back to my sister's house where I was foosball champion yet again. Undefeated, take that! Soulja Boy and The Chad totally dominated.
Today was a good day at work, short day actually so I mostly boxed up donations instead of working more on my project. Maybe Space Cadet will be there this week to help again.

Stars, golden stars!
There was this professor in college who gave us this assignment that wasn't really followed up on, it was just in the syllabus and not mentioned in class so when we showed up for class that day she was like, "did anyone write the paper?" and a few of us raised our hands and she replied, "Stars! Golden stars!" then moved on. It was hysterical. Didn't even collect the papers. I think it was like a one page essay or something so not that big of a deal but it was hilarious and that line has just kind of stuck with me.
Today was fantastic. The day actually started on a high note, my Glee-loving boss and Space Cadet said I deserved a gold star for shifting books - we had this big hole in the 613 section aka health and wellness so I moved books so there wasn't a gap, and like every freaking book fell on me cause I'm a klutz and I could just hear everyone at the desk giggling with every book that fell on me. But I got to show off my handywork today to Space Cadet since it's finished and my Glee-loving boss literally stuck a gold star on my forehead. I felt special. But I moved it to my nametag since I had this weird feeling that this would be the day when someone like my sister would come in just out of nowhere and be like, why is there a gold star on your forehead?
Then at the other branch, Boss's boss's boss told me I did good yesterday at the meeting. Almost jumped for joy but held it in as that would probably be unprofessional. Anyway, got to see my favorite patron and we talked about going to the derby in a couple of weeks then had a lot of fun with my coworkers. They're all great, I love the staff at both places really. They are a major reason I love my job. Jobs.

- Then of course there was an interesting conversation about dresses and cowboy boots that I won't repeat. Gonna be a fun wedding, I'm stoked.

Think I'm gonna catch up on my missed shows from this week, I love Hulu it's fantastic. Not sure if they were new though, I did get to watch Castle which was hilarious, special guest star central seriously. So basically just going to have to see if Harry's Law or NCIS was new. I know Glee wasn't. And I think I missed Bones for a couple of weeks now so will have to look into that. Yay for a slow and relaxing night, that's new.

Today flew by pretty fast, mostly cause I was all over the place. We were pretty busy. The meeting with my boss's boss's boss went well thankfully. She's pretty awesome and everyone was able to be there so I'm actually thrilled, plus got all my questions answered. Now I can find a peer library's policies and compare for the paper, then I'll be done with it. Well, I have to physically write the paper but I have most of the stuff planned out already so it won't take too long. But it was fun, meeting with coworkers and talking about work stuff which is totally new for me. Plus they called it my "stomping ground" so that made me smile.

I was in kindergarten and was a jury member. It was an all female jury and we fawned over the wolf because he was so charming. Now everytime someone talks about a jury or says the word "jury" that comes to mind and goes on repeat.

I think I used the word "Cheeseball" to describe myself about 50 times within 5 minutes. Sad day. While I'm not wild about the video I am about the song. It was my favorite for years but got edged out of its top spot by Aaliyah's "Are You That Somebody" which I already posted during favorites week (another 90s song) so I won't double post it. Even though it's fantastic.

Haven't seen this movie in forever but this is the best part by far.

Aw the flashbacks. Mostly ones of high school, me and Smo laying in our neighbors bunk beds listening to this song on repeat even though the neighbors weren't in their room. I mean, they were originally. But then they left. And somehow we ended up staying. It was a long time ago, we actually just talked about that this weekend. "How did we get there?" "Why did we stay?" I just remember one of the upper classmen walking by, seeing us and going, "This isn't your room..."
And she's out!!...for the night.

This is a week of my favorite things Day Seven
Okay, right now, gotta say I'm loving Anne Hathaway. "You are the Wolve to my Rine." Not that I didn't already love her, she's actually kind of awesome. I already rambled about Get Smart on favorites day whatever...two? yeah, day two. Plus, James Franco in a dress? That was niiiice... BTW - loved their musical version of Harry Potter totally gonna find that on youtube later.
As you've probably guessed, yes I am watching the Oscars which is another one of my favorite things. I'm kind of an Awards Junkie so it's cool for Day 7 to fall on tonight. Not like I planned it that way, I'm not that smart.
And wow, day 7. I think I've gotten more hits this week than any other so that's big. There's people overseas reading about my obsessions. Madness. Sadly I'm glad it's day 7 because I have no idea what other topics I could cover. Fashion trends? I was big into tearaways for years. lots of tearaways and backwards hats. then dyed hair, which is still around. Catchphrases? there's too many of those. I could go all "Inside the Actor's Studio" on you and talk about my favorite swear word. Which I won't. Although I have been saying "Janet" a lot as I think it has artistic integrity. Hooray for Rocky Horror. I tried "oh pigeons" Mark, really I did. But I just can't pull it off like you.
As I'm running out of favorites, and time I'm just gonna throw some random ones out.

"What part of un-ass do you not understand?" stoked for her new series. yet another female ME I'm going to love. Claire WMC...Maura R&I...the ME from the Closer is kinda girly with his long hair, does he count? I do enjoy him. haha.
Quote - F. Scott Fitzgerald's "Show me a hero and I will write you a tragedy." that I carry around in my back pocket cause I'm a nerd. That's followed closely by "Gazelle Swagger" which is a ZH original and more of a long story.
Icecream flavor - Mint chip...or sherbet but that's yogurt so it doesn't count
Cartoon growing up - Scooby Doo. or Garfield. I was also really big into That's So Raven. "Dancin' Iguana, Dancin' Iguana!" "Good evening good sir knight and...ugly hag?!"
Movie nominated for Best picture this year - King's Speech totally deserved all 12 noms but 4 wins will do.
Ipod app - Angry Birds. I'm hooked man.
Foreign language total jam out song - is a tie between "Dragostea Din Tei" aka the Numa Numa song or "Boten Anna" by Basshunter. Both are frequents on my ipod. I encourage you to check them both out. Fantastic. Actually Basshunter came out with an English version of BA called "Now You're Gone" but it's not as good.
okay i'm running out of things that aren't movies, music, tv, hobbies, books or whatever day six was, youtube. that's right. And yes some of the above are from those categories but what else am I gonna ramble about really?
And this is all starting to sound like a rambling oscar speech so I'm gonna stop before you all change the channel.

"It sunk, we're over it!"
Wow, 23. Don't really feel any different, are you supposed to?
I think I was eating a fruit rollup and watching Hot in Cleveland at midnight. At 3:09 I was staring at my phone during break, that's when I was officially 23, I cheered, the girl next to me probably thinks I'm crazy. It was funny, I walked into class, gave the library goddess her iced coffee and she gave me a giant cookie that said happy birthday on it. Awesome!

Soooo.... pretty sure my neighbors think I'm nuts. Started on my paper, just have to add final touches tomorrow after work when I get more info on Reference USA and how to cite it. After that I caught up on my shows, aka Castle, Glee, Harry's Law, good episodes all around.

Anyway, they probably think I'm nuts because there was a lot of commentary (meaning screaming) coming from me while usually I'm pretty quiet. Except during Husker games. Or if I'm listening to music...which is always, but usually it's into headphones...so yes. Quiet, I'm a quiet neighbor. My cat, when he bangs on the door, he has a mind of his own. But I'm quiet. Anyway, I was stoked about Beckett reciting my favorite quote (yes i'm a nerd and a writer so i have a favorite quote) so there was some yelling there, I laughed hysterically at Harriet's quote about her client but my outbursts while watching Glee are probably why my neighbors think I'm messed up because at first it was, "Oh, god no, not Bieber!" but then like ten minutes later I was so excited for Rent. So there was a lot of shouting. Who doesn't shout for Rent, honestly? Probably a lot of people. But again, I'm a nerd and saw it live. Took my roommate and some college friends plus a high school one, it was fantastic. Surprised them with tickets actually. I think I pulled off the secret 'til we pulled up to the theater which is pretty impressive. Except Schwartz, I needed her cause I was freaking out. Everybody else I got pretty good.
Anyway, I wanted to post that clip as it is awesome, but I couldn't find it so you're stuck with this one. Because I had to suffer through it you do too. My main problem now is before I could say I had never heard the whole song. I don't listen to the radio, so if it weren't for my niece and her Bieber Fever - well, past love of Bieber now apparently he's lame - I wouldn't even know of him. Now I have to actually claim to have heard the whole song all the way through and not hated it. Well, Sam's version anyway. He's not so bad. But don't worry, I'm not gonna go out and do anything drastic like listen to the original.

Other than writing the paper and catching up on shows my day also consisted of searching for a new messenger bag online, found a cool one, and ordering my bridesmaids dress for the aforementioned roommate's wedding as she is getting married in July. Fun stuff.

Heart of Glass
Yesterday aka Valentine's Day I spent working then went over to eat crab legs and watch Despicable Me with my family. There was soooo much food! And that's actually a pretty funny movie.
Aannnd time with family means more quotes.

Day two and my Valentine's Day flower is still alive and kicking. We'll see how long that lasts.
Tuesday meant split shift, and as much as I wanted to be productive between them I instead spent the majority of the time on the phone. Cause apparently I'm a delicate flower or a pane of glass - both of those used today to describe me.

Angela: Hmm, and how long were they married?

Angela: I'm with him.
Brennan: There's no concrete proof.
Angela: Boobs perkier?
Booth: Mmm hmm.
Brennan: I don't believe this. If you're so sure, then why didn't you confront her?
Angela: Because if she and her boyfriend were involved, she would warn him.
Booth: Very good.
Angela: I'm a constant surprise.

Tomorrow I only work in the morning, then I get to spend the rest of the day writing my paper for Friday. Cause I'm trying not to be the procrastinator I was in college. And it's working 40/40 on both assignments so far. Huzzah! That probably won't last much longer so I'm celebrating now. And at some point in the day I have to go get Carter more food.
Weekend plans keep changing, aside from class I mean. Maybe we'll do something at the farmhouse. That'd be nice. Except I have to work again on Sunday. But then have Monday off. Hmmm.... Still figuring things out. I'm not actually all that big on birthdays, especially this year with all the crap. I'd rather Mom just tell us what to do and I just show up. That's be nice.
I'm exhausted. And I actually wasn't all that productive today, aside from work which I actually did a lot since there were lists galore.
I should probably eat something at some point. But I don't feel like cooking, soooo ice cream? Mmm...sherbet. Sounds good.

"Those are gonna be some weirdass dreams..."
Camp J 2010 quote from my awesome cousin - there's more of a story to it actually but it involves port-a-potties in the dark with only a flashlight and it was awkward so we were talking and she was like "They can probably hear us talking." (about the kids) so I said "We're just commentary in their dreams" and she replied "Those are gonna be some weirdass dreams..." It made the song...which I have yet to post here, will have to work on that.
Be prepared for a massive post.
Today was excellent, we were really busy so it flew by and it was just a fun day. There were so many people because it's soooo nice outside. And everyone was in a good mood, so it made the day exciting. Even more exciting is that I'm only in the morning tomorrow, then I get to spend the rest of the day with some of my family playing TMNT/MarioKart/Just Dance and eating crab legs. I know you're all super jealous.
But, when I showed up for work today, all I could think about was this dream I had last night. Which I didn't remember - even though I put them in my phone - until I entered the building. Because it was about work. Well, sort of. Basically, myself and two male coworkers broke into song in the middle of the work day at the desk. And the song happened to be "Roll out the barrel"... Fantastic, right?! Anyway, the dream just felt like this big musical which made walking up to that desk almost comical this morning. Thankfully, the two male coworkers who were singing with me weren't there today so I wouldn't have to explain to them why I was laughing hysterically when I saw them. Just because it's not a very them kind of thing to do. Which makes it even funnier.
Anyway, so when I was on break I was reading through my dream log thing (I don't know what else to call it) that I keep in the notes section of my phone. It's basically just what the dream was about and if I can remember any of the lines or whatever, so that when I'm really bored I read them and try to remember. Some of the more recent ones are really funny - I'm not sure what's causing that. But some memorable ones are:
-"Isn't everything better with a call number?" I think that's one of my favorites but I don't remember who said it, probably Superwoman
-"Put a doily on top" yeah I don't remember that one at all
-"There are two dead bodies under the bed." "It's your bed!" yeah, don't remember that either but it sounds exciting!
-"Daniel eats worms" that one doesn't surprise me as much since he's a boy in grade school and you never know (one of my kids from the musicals, speaking of should probably start work on that soon)
-"Boys singing pirates sent to wrong place for initiation" ....hmmm....???
-"Let's say I do believe you and he did kick you in the head which he clearly didn't, where's the mark?" That's another one of my favorites
-"I'm single Abby, I'll do it." Um? Curious... some of these I really wish I could remember
Okay this one is poetic in a creepy way - "Sometimes I want to reflect myself in bed, lean against my head, split myself in two, for the aftermath of you." ???
-"Well, I'm definitely not his mother!" I'm just not gonna comment on that one
-"Ma! Turn your ringer down!" This one I remember! George from Seinfeld was yelling to his mother over her ringing phone...but that's all I remember
-"How did you meet?" "Camp J. We hated each other, then we started dating." Another one I want to remember.
-"Someone had to step in and teach these children good literature!!" that one just gives me flashbacks to my Children's Lit class in college
hahahahaha I'm scared - "Satan has a thing for redheads..."
-"Are we going to get in trouble?" "Just tell them you were the one waving the flag." I remember that one!! I don't remember what the trouble was about but I remember asking Superwoman if we were going to be in trouble and that was her answer.
here's another poetic one - "You say that you love me but you don't really care. You say that you love me but you are never there. You say that you love me you're always in my head. You say that you love me, I don't care, get out of my bed." hahaha
-"Why Wyatt Erp?" "It's a good name!" someone was naming their kid, can't remember who
-"Jimmy Fallon as santa sesame street xmas crossword writer mean." what?!
-"Go with your gut Agent Larkin" WHO IS AGENT LARKIN?!
-"I can kick some ass if you want. It's twice as funny when they're taken down by a woman." All I remember about that one was that it was Amanda Bynes who said it and we were standing in a Dollar General. I did mention these were weird dreams, right?
-"You sure you want to sit with me?" "I've been here before, we'll get out alive, I promise." I remember in that one I was totally kickass and took down some dudes
-"Have I really only been complaining about this one year?" this was when I dreamed that they had camp moved onto the top of a giant ice sculpture, I have no idea why.
-"That's not dad, I promise you I saw him earlier. I know where he is." "Is he at Elaine's?" "No he's dead." This one was like the scariest dream I've had in a while, these people came to the farmhouse, killed dad, then went to kidnap mom but I intercepted them and they played his voice over a recorder thing telling her to go with them but it was like one of the voice changer things.
-"I fight for the microfilm reel and run" hmmm...work?
-"Are you in town for the Telli convention?" "No, are you in it?" "Yes." "How is it?" "Awful but great." What's a telli convention?
-"My family has an obsession with cards and Criminal Minds" I remember really really liking that one but that's all I remember
Then there's just one that says "old family relatives singing at night" I don't exactly know what to think about that one.

I grew up kind of a the Mamas and the Papas nut. I know a lot about them, mostly because I think the whole romance, cheating, then more romance thing was kind of funny. I think maybe I'm a little more interested in classic music because of the age gap in my family. I grew up on the Beatles and the Beach Boys, and Aretha and all that. But I listened to this song and "Dedicated the the one I love" every night before I went to bed for like a year. Seriously. I just love this song - and that one - and thought it was fitting for the post.
