Today was just weird.
There are no other words that better describe it.
It started out normal enough. Staff meeting. Worked the lab desk. Went to lunch.
But it was the afternoon that changed all that.
First, I got to scoop snow outside the building.
Master's Degree and all.
No, it was fine, I didn't mind it. I did stuff like that all the time when I was at the home branch, but the problem with doing stuff like that at the work branch is because of our location there are people everywhere.
And these people feel the need to commentate.
Some of them on bicycles, circling the block and on every pass they make fun of you more.
The hour after that was spent playing Mad Scientist in the backroom.
aka mixing chemicals and adding labels to bottles.
Don't worry, it's just cleaning stuff we use to get the gunk off stuff.
After that things got even weirder.
Massive incident report.
Some dude attacked the security guard.
Can't exactly repeat the details, but it was ridiculous.
Cops called and all that.
Girlscout and I had front row seats.
Oh the joys.
Like I said, weird.
So I came home and escaped the weird - minus the robot vacuum running in the background.
I'm pretty sure I got the dumb one.
It vacuums but it runs into everything in the process.
It's actually amusing to watch, but Carter hates it.
I'm back to Arrow. Last disc, after which I'll have to catch the rest online.
It's actually really good, if you haven't watched it you should check it out.
There's a TON of back story that it basically has to spoon feed you, but it's really good.
And that's all I got for today.
Yes, I'm becoming one of those comic book movie/tv show nerds.
The boyfriend likes DC best.
I'm torn, cause Marvel is good too.
Red is one of my favorite movies of all time, but how can you pass by the Avengers?
I like them both. I have enough t-shirts to prove it.
Okay, on to the clip of the day.
I love dumb commercials. Especially when they're narrated.
I miss this show. Used to watch it almost every night in college. Pretty sure Sketch was tired of it, but I loved it. Almost makes me want to order an extended Dish package. Hmm...
Here, maybe these are better.
i'm sorry but 1:28 is epic. and 7:12. and 7:37. and 8:17. and 8:20.
and i'm out.
legit pre-midnight, holy crap tag in use.
I could write a blog. I have thoughts.
Life at the library, adventures with friends and other hysterics...

"You got hit by a car. Are you even human?" "The trick is to just relax your legs. I read it on wikiHow."
Et tu, Smo?
We give her crap cause her birthday's on the Ides of March.
Welcome to the world of twenty-five-dom.
Now you can feel old like the rest of us.
A day off, huzzah.
Needed one of those.
Slept in, did some cleaning, swapped a TV out with another TV.
Switched the one in my closet with the one in my bedroom. So now the one that was in the bedroom is on the dresser where the other one previous sat.
And these are like the old massive box style TVs so that was a bit of a workout.
But this one has a remote.
And I can plug both my PS2 and DVD player in it, whereas with the other one, it was bigger but there was no remote and I had to choose between my PS2 and DVD player.
After that my professor called - nightmare scheduling that one - and we talked about my final project. That I'm actually basically done with. She was shocked, apparently I'm the furthest along - score.
But it's a poster session, so basically we get one powerpoint slide and we have to put all of our information on it like an actual poster and then we'll have to present electronically, cause the class is all online. Curious as to how that's gonna work, but I guess we shall see.
After that I headed out to see the boyfriend. We ate and then went to see Identity Thief.
Which we wanted to see for a while, but were waiting for it to come to the theater out there. Usually the blockbusters aren't this delayed but they only have three screens.
Hilarious, 8/10 on the Scale of Awesome. I love Melissa McCarthy and find it humorous when her husband makes cameo appearances. They have a production company called On The Day, looking forward to their movies.
She's great, loved her since Gilmore Girls, which was long before her Bridesmaids fame. Which then led to Mike and Molly and then the whole Queen of Comedy thing. But she's hilarious and deserves it. I do love that she's the sane one in a family of crazies in Mike and Molly. Which is unusual cause in most of her roles she's the weird one.
Afterward we watched an episode of World Dumbest. I'm tempted to get the next package up with Dish just so I can get TruTV, I miss that show. Fell asleep watching it almost every night in college, love it.
Love it.
Alright, I'm off to sleep. Back to work tomorrow.

Embark the vehicle!
Location: Couch
Time: 11:28 PM
Music: I don't wanna know - Glee version
Current Work Score - 127
Family bonding moments from today:
-"I'm sorry creepers were taking pictures of your butt." i died at this, because its funny but also because of the blasé tone it was said in from mother to daughter.
-"Want some chicken?" my solution to oldest sister freaking out about taking the wrong road.
-"Well I don't listen to crap." oldest sister after i complimented her music choice
-"The surgery group" mass text group
-getting flipped off while driving, but it wasn't at me so it's okay
-watched the green hornet - super funny...once the storyline developed
-drove past our cousin and yelled and waved at him through the window, probably totally weirded him out
A work friend was telling me this story about this guy who stole a tank and how the cops couldn't stop him because how do you stop a tank? They'd just run you over. And I was like, that would be the ultimate car chase vehicle! Even though it's probably not that fast. But I think that now, the Green Hornet's car would be the ultimate car chase vehicle with the speed and weaponry. Especially if you have Kato as your driver. There's this episode of World Dumbest with this car chase and it ends with this guy getting beat up by the cops and one of the commentators was like, "You can always tell how successful a car chase is by how many cops want to pummel you when it's done. This one? Very successful!"
Scale of Awesome - Green Hornet 7/10, it was pretty good - there was a lot of fighting and funny moments. It had kind of a slow beginning but it got better as it went on. and James Franco! Huzzah! I didn't know he was going to be in it!
Just one tonight
The Doobie Brothers - Black Water

Text if you make it to your apartment, call if you go to the hospital
My mother said to me so lovingly as I left tonight. She's going to bed early understandably. Long day tomorrow, taking her mom to her sister's funeral. Alzheimer's is not a fun disease. They've told her twice and she's forgotten both times. I can only imagine how hard tomorrow will be. Grams is one of my favorite people. She's the nicest lady, so patient - although I guess you'd have to be if you had eight kids, madness - and really funny. I think I talked about her comments about 'old people' at her 'apartment.'
I'm being spontaneous. I'm typing this on the floor while listening to Weird Al on cassette tape. Found my Doris Day!!
Today was awesome. I laid around in my pajamas and watched a marathon of World's Dumbest. I used to watch (fall asleep) to that show practically every night of my senior year of college. When it was on at least. It was either that or Pastor Melissa Scott. Gotta love televangelists. Even though it's where celebrities' careers go to die I think it's hilarious. Judy Gold, Danny Bonaduce, Leif Garrett, Tonya Harding, Daniel Baldwin, although Brad Loekle is the best. Today's were World's Dumbest Performers 3, Drivers 11 and 15, and Brawlers like 2 and 3 I think. I love that show, and I'm not ashamed. Even though it's awful. But today's were grand, mostly because I missed it so much. One of the performers was this lady who had a show about the importance of cat massaging.
"And the mountain gods said we will spare your life!!!....but we're taking your jeep!" - Jaime Andrews she's one of the good ones.
Here's an example of the stupid/funny
Carter is staying with mom and dad this week since I'm going back out there for New Years. It's so weird, I can actually stretch out my legs without him at the bottom of the couch and I won't wake up to him laying on my stomach or have to barricade the door every time I leave so he doesn't pounce on it and make noise.
Okay, back on the couch watching The Nanny and eating goldfish. My spontaneity can only last so long. Tomorrow is full day of work then the Closer then Castle. Hopefully. Plus have to go get food, and the only liquid in my fridge is alcoholic. Which is why right now I'm drinking a strawberry margarita out of a bottle - thanks to the grab bag and Teina.
Alright, I'm out. Hope you all had a fun and safe holiday.
