Yes, I'm posting this again. It's tradition. And probably the most-posted video on this blog.
Celebratory paper throw.
I can now officially do it.
Holy crap, I'm done with grad school.
Well, the homework portion at least.
Hence the celebratory paper throw.
All that's left are the grades - which is on their end - and then the graduation ceremony itself. Got my cap and gown hung up and all that.
And of course the party. I'm almost done sending out invitations. I still need to mail a few and stop by the home branch to drop off theirs. But other than that I'm good.
I just can't believe it's over.
Grad school is only mentioned in 256 out of 971 - wait, seriously, 971? - posts but it was a huge part of my life for like 3 years. Now I'm done with homework and stress about classes...feels good.
Today was good too. Extremely busy. Because of the holiday last week we were closed for two days and it all caught up with us today. Like 80 tubs in delivery, 2 full carts of holds, plus tons of stats. Made the day go by fairly quickly.
Plus Mr. BossMan Tom stopped by. It'll be weird not leaving tomorrow to go to the internship. While I'm glad to be done with that I'll definitely miss it.
And that's all I got for today. Came home, watched The Voice, The Blacklist, and then wrote up the paper.
The Blacklist was epic - fall finale, can't wait until January for new episodes. I wasn't as impressed with The Voice. Except for Jacquie, she was awesome.

"You should be getting flowers, not giving them."
I decided against posting this week as most of them would have been me rambling about my apartment, cat, or staring at a computer screen for 10 hours. So here is your mega post.
It's official. Comps are done.
Celebratory paper throw.
I can now officially leave my apartment and not freak out about it.
Unlike how I felt all week.
Comps were not fun. And a lot harder than I expected them to be. Though I wasn't really sure what to expect.
I went into it thinking the lowest grade I've got on a project is a B and the lowest grade I've got for a class is an A- (*cough*Library Goddess*cough*...threw off my 4.0) so I can handle this it'll be fine.
Questions were posted at 8, I woke up at 9 and went oh god I'm screwed.
The Cool Aunt and I had this baking analogy where we tied the difficulty level of the question to the difficulty level of a baked good - it ranged from cupcakes to flanby - and the plan was to start with the easy cupcake one and finish with the flanby one.
I emailed her and was like...they're all flanby.
Sketch is secretly laughing right now because she knows that I can't bake so the difficulty level for both of those desserts is actually the same.
Ironically, I ended up doing it in reverse starting with flanby and ending with cupcake.
If you can call it a cupcake, it was still harder than any of my previous assignments.
There's a discussion board tied to each question where we can ask stuff. I'm pretty sure I asked about triple the amount of questions everyone else did because I was just so lost on the first 2 but then once they were explained I had an idea of what I was gonna write about and did it before I lost the motivation.
This was after meeting with my comrades over lunch. Well breakfast. But it was at lunch time.
Is that brunch? My brain has nothing left in it.
We joked about the questions giving one of us a heart attack. I believe the direct quote was "yeah, take one for the team. then they'll make them easier...would you like more butter for those pancakes?"
We were gonna meet later in the week for drinks but it didn't work out schedule-wise. Now the plan is to go out for drinks after we learn we've all passed.
If anything is worth a drink it was this week.
The longest took me 10 hours - that was 10 pages - another took me 7 and I lost count with the other two cause I spread them out over a couple of days while I made changes on my "final" drafts of the others.
I won't post the questions in case they want to re-use them at some point but one was on technology, another was on group development, another was on collaboration and then the monster 10 hour one was on continuing education.
The funny part about that one is that BossLady (to make sure they made sense) and Oldest Sister (to check for grammar and to make sure they made sense) looked them over for me and after I sent the first one BossLady tracked me down at work and said that I made more CE plans in a day than she had in the years she's been there so she will now delegate that all to me.
I went, um, no...but thanks?
The only breaks I gave myself were to do something else productive.
I've never been so caught up on laundry and my closet has never been this clean.
Amazing what you can accomplish when you're avoiding something else.
I kept second guessing myself and changing stuff so I finally just ended up posting them on Saturday a day early before I could talk myself out of it.
Now they're out of my hands.
Got the confirmation email saying they should be graded by Friday so now I wait.
In limbo.
I hate limbo.
If I pass all I have left are practicum and youth services which both end in December. If I fail even one I have to retake next semester.
No pressure.
But, being done Saturday meant I got to watch the Husker game...ugh...and then go out to the farm to help Mom.
Oh, did I mention that Mom decided we needed yet another experience with white walls and sterilized equipment so she fell out of a tractor and busted her knee?
I bought her flowers, that's where the title comes from, some random dude said it and walked away.
I spent the day cleaning and mowing. My cousin or second cousin or once removed or something like that is coming to help farm.
Kind of random and out of the blue as I haven't seen him in years, but welcome nonetheless.
After that I stopped by to see the boyfriend. We watched No Country for Old Men.
He had to explain a lot of it to me, but it was pretty good.
Same with Donnie Brasco which we watched yesterday.
I'm giving them both a 6/10 on the Scale of Awesome.
That was basically the only time I saw him all week. Except for the one night I took off, we got dinner and watched some TV. I think it was Office Space and something else, I can't remember this week was all a blur.
Oh and we saw Bad Grandpa also yesterday.
Scarred for life but he seemed to like it.
What is it with boys and Jackass humor?
Anyway, so now I'm done and it's back to work tomorrow.

but it's a little too late, she's a little too gone, she's a little too right, i'm a little too wrong.
Holy crap.
I'm done!
I finished all my homework for the semester and submitted it.
Yay for flying homework papers! (as is tradition)
I'm still in a state of awe.
Granted that might be because it's super late and I should be sleeping.
So I'll hate myself in the morning but it'll be worth it CAUSE I'M DONE!
Today was pretty good.
Work flew by - literally flew by - lunch break at the apartment loading up my big fat cat for Mom to take to the farm.
Can't leave him by himself while I'm at camp and he loves the farm.
And grandma.
Though that may not last after she takes him for shots and to be shaved.
It's always an adventure trying to get him into the cat carrier cause he's bigger than the carrier.
Which is a challenge, but we've found if you back him in then it goes faster.
But then he bites.
He's not a fan of the carrier.
Or the car ride.
So, sorry about that Mom.
And work was interesting itself, learned how to calculate interest when I got it for a reference question, and found real estate and some legal cases for one of our regulars.
After work was dinner with the boyfriend's family to celebrate his sister-in-law's birthday.
A month later, but still a birthday celebration nonetheless.
Stopped by his train friend's house afterwards.
Oh yeah, train friend.
Like, they do train stuff together like go watch trains and go on motorcar rides on the tracks and buy train stuff and all that.
He's a nice guy. And he knows my dad and his friends so I can semi-follow conversations.
I did grow up in a house full of train memorabilia so that helps every once in a while.
Got home. Did homework for four hours. Rocked it.
Well, hoping I rocked it.
Either way it's done and nothing I can do about it now.
Relief.
Now I can focus on camp.
Which is actually more stressful than the homework.
But worth it in the end.
Though I just realized that I go out there in like 3 days and I'm totally unprepared.
Even though I have all the applications processed, t-shirts sorted, nametags printed, skits picked out, trailer ready, etc.
Still have to type up and print out all the skits.
And do the cabin folders.
Plus pack.
Haven't even made a list yet.
Thursday.
All on Thursday.
Cause tomorrow I'm working.
Wednesday I'll be at a different library for a seminar - which just happens to be located in the town where the boyfriend lives. Hmm...
But Thursday is a half day.
Half work. Half camp.
So I'll be able to handle it.
Or I'll fake being able to handle it.
Fake it 'til you make it, as Bosslady says.
Okay, tired of typing and staring at this screen. Homework kills everything.

"I have come here to kick zombie butt and chew bubble gum... and I am all out of bubble gum!"
Oh, Wipeout how I love you.
Got to spend the day at the home branch with the new supervisor.
Lots of fun.
Though we were swamped cause we were closed yesterday.
Showed up and we had an entire bookdrop cart that maintenance had brought in the night before overflowing with stuff, plus whatever was currently in the bookdrop.
And no tubs to send them in delivery so it was just carts and carts of stuff.
Then our internet was down cause they were updating software so we only had one functional computer.
And then once it started working the other one went down along with the patron internet computers.
Patrons were not happy and neither were we.
But it's supposed to be much faster now.
Anyway, we were swamped, people everywhere and constant stuff to do so the day flew by pretty quickly.
After which I had to go save a fish.
Got the panic text from Squirt yesterday while lighting fireworks asking if I'd feed her fish and then close the door so the cat wouldn't eat said fish.
She was bummed when I closed the door.
Aw, poor Dumb as a Post.
She answers to that you know.
And Fluffy Bunny.
Cause she's fluffy.
Though not quite as fluffy as Carter.
Speaking of which, Carter needs to be shaved.
Perhaps grandma can find someone to do it while I'm at camp.
He is her favorite grandcat.
She may not always admit it, but I'm pretty sure she misses him.
He loves the farm.
Just not so much the farm cats.
Anyway, after saving the fish and feeding my cat came the homework.
He called it the "Final Exam" but it was actually three papers combined into one. Six pages and I'm done. Emailed it in at 10PM that's a whole 2 hours before the deadline.
I know you're all proud.
So I'm officially done with Library Systems!!!
Well, the class.
Next up Foundations.
But all that stuff is due end of July so I'm gonna take my time with it.
Going to enjoy my weekend off first.
Headed out of town to celebrate my brother-in-law's 40th birthday.
It's not so much a surprise party when he helps plan it.
But it's gonna be fun, dinner in the old market and then walking around downtown before heading back to the hotel.
Second Sister is excited cause they have a hot tub.
Though they own a hot tub so....
Anyway, I'm excited to be done with homework for the week and that I get to sleep in tomorrow.
And then upload even more camp stuff as that is coming up fast.
And I've gotten like 20 envelopes in the past week.
All huge so I'm guessing there's more than one application in each.
Which is good.
As long as they're counselors and teen helpers.
Cause I have like 2 teen helpers total at the moment.
Aaannd that's all I got.
I know, I'm boring, I'm sorry.
But I'm sure I'll have more entertaining stories to tell after the birthday shindig.

celebrate, celebrate, dance to the music
As is tradition every time I finish homework for a semester:
Cause I still wanna do that with my papers but I don't want to have to pick them up afterward.
So yes, I am DONE!
Well, with the homework aspect at least.
Still one more online collaborate to attend on Friday night but after that I'm done until June!
Tonight's was fun.
While I was the only one to present on Monday we had like 5 tonight leaving only 2 for Friday.
And afterward I had time to complete my entire homework assignment for Internet Reference that's not due until tomorrow night.
BUT tomorrow night I'll be out and celebrating with the boyfriend's family. We're going out to dinner for his dad's birthday.
I'm gonna be partying it up cause literally all I have left to do is login to the website and watch two people present.
Maybe ask them questions if I really feel like it.
For now I'm gonna eat my popsicles and crash.
Watching old episodes of Wipeout.
The American one this time and on TV, not my phone.
Not like every day at lunch.
Cause see, every day I watch that at lunch means it's another day that I don't finish Silver Linings Playbook.
Cause I don't want it to be over!!

Off early for the class thing, after that I watched The Voice.
Did The Voice's voting system get hacked?

Or was the screwup on their end?
I'm guessing it got hacked.

Got lied to by a volunteer, that was fun.
She's nice but there's a cultural gap and I'm having trouble finding things for her to do.
Gonna have to do some collaborating with other people throughout the building to find stuff.
Long story, but I was not a happy camper.
Other than that the day was good.
Off early for the class thing, after that I watched The Voice.
Did The Voice's voting system get hacked?
Is that what that announcement meant?
Or was the screwup on their end?
I'm guessing it got hacked.
But seriously? Just why?

So I was spot on for both Blake and Usher's teams in my predictions yesterday. The only thing I missed was that Judith got saved by America instead of Sarah and that Adam in turn had to save Sarah and then instead of Kris going home it was Karina, but I did predict she'd save Garrett.
Sad to see Caroline go home. She was one of my favorites, along with Karina.
She's fiesty.
I'm really not happy that Usher saved Josiah over Cathia.
I fear this is another one of those Bromances like Adam and Tony Lucca during season two.
Not really deserving of how far they've got but they're friends with the boss.
Just a thought.

Don't let the pigeon drive the bus.
So, today was far more successful than I thought it would be.
Seriously.
Woke up at 8, by accident.
Forgot to turn off that alarm.
So went back to sleep until 10.
Got up in time to prep for interview - gotta love phone interviews in your pajamas.
Diversity in Libraries, interviewing diverse patrons.
Last week it was diverse librarians.
So now I've talked to a librarian from Seattle and a patron from Columbia.
Missouri.
Columbia, Missouri.
Been an interesting experience so far, I'm digging it, AND I met that professor yesterday at that meeting.
Which I neglected to mention, I think.
I neglected to mention a lot, including a fabulous map drawn by the Library Goddess so I had to go back and add stuff.
I was half asleep by the time it was posted, but that's the joy of being the post-er.

Anyway, so yes, met the professor, interestingly enough - and I'm pretty sure she thought I was a total nut at first because she was talking and I like was walking past her and I froze.
Like froze.
And did like one of those slow motion turns so she stopped talking.
And I was like, "I recognize your voice."
And she was like, "okay?"
So I asked what classes she was teaching and Diversity was one of them and I was like "YES!" cause she records her lectures. But it's just her voice and a powerpoint, she's not in the picture.
I was quite proud of myself.
I mean, after she stopped looking at me like I was some stalker nut.
She was great, as were the rest of the crew.
It is a really cool program for them to be able to do this, huzzah for Distance Education.
Except everyone is making me go over there and walk for graduation.
They could mail me the diploma but my friends and family will have none of that.
Ugh.
Anyway, so there was that and I added the map and the Digital Beef so I think we're good about yesterday.
So, okay, yes, phone interview in the morning. Had to record it so I can write up the transcript later. Could have done that tonight but didn't want to be THAT productive, people would start to worry.
After that I ate lunch, made soup and didn't burn the apartment down, victory, then headed to work for Reader's Theater.
Okay, I'll admit, while I do direct and write half the scripts for camp, Reader's Theater is completely different so I was a little freaked.
But it turned out awesome.
Seriously, it was great.
Basically in Reader's Theater you want to focus on stories with a lot of dialogue because the actors are literally reading from the script so I had them go throughout the library and pick items they'd like to act out.
I was expecting things like The Hunger Games but actually we ended up with a couple of picture books and a spy thriller.
Don't Let the Pigeons Drive the Bus came first. It was actually really amusing - and they're rather creative - so like we made arranged chairs to make it look like a bus. And you know half of that book is a child listening and screaming "no!" at the pigeon so the passengers did a lot of screaming.
Actually our first take they just shook their heads and sat in silence.
That was funny as well.
Anyway, if you've read the book you know, but at one point the pigeon totally spazzes out and screams "Let me drive the bus!" and like throws a tantrum. Our pigeon decided that instead of throwing a tantrum she'd throw a box instead.
At me.
So I ducked and spun and kept filming, it was awesome.
And then of course the pigeon gets left in the end - oh sorry, spoiler alert - and the bus leaves so I kept the camera in place and they're all in office chairs so they all roll off in line while the pigeon looks all rejected and then names the book and says it's available in our library system.
So that was book one.
Second came something about a green sock, like Lizette's Green Sock I think, by a Catherina V-something. I could Google it but I'm too lazy. Maybe I'll upload the videos or send you a link once they're edited.
Anyway, we made green socks out of paper bags....that we colored with green markers. And then there was a pool and a squirt bottle and it had a rabbit and a cat and a mouse and a fish and a mom.
Long story short - too late - it took us like 2 tries but we got it.
Final was called The Killer or The Killing or something of the sort - it was a spy thriller so one of our boys read the back cover while the other boy rolled around on the floor avoiding the bullets that our hitwoman was spraying at him and the other girls ran across the stage holding signs that said "boom" "bang" "scream" and the sort.
Melodrama.
Reminded me of high school.
Oh god, what was that called again?

That's right.
I was Clever Coyote.
I got to dance on stage.
And had a secret handshake with Slue-Foot Sue.
One of my favorite plays, but the boyfriend's LEAST favorite.
He hated that thing.
Seriously hated it.
Think Oklahoma was his favorite.
He played the skeevy traveling salesman.
And he sang.
He used to be so little and short and cute.
or maybe it was Oh, What a Tangled Web that was his favorite. I was student manager for that one, it was sophomore year and my first high school play. But I knew all the words and would fill in for people during rehearsals, even being married to myself a few times.
But that was One Act.
Where was I before this tangent?
Oh right, so he was rolling all over and she was holding the cardboard in the corner and then there was signage with narration and then he went around and shot all of us and I fell over, camera in hand.
All-in-all I'd say it went rather well.
Cause they demanded we do it again.
I'm in.
Though this time it will probably involve Cod Sparkles and his library adventures.
Don't ask.
I seriously was freaked, but I was really impressed with how it all turned out.
So, now I have all the videos, will go over them and send them on to our webmaster who can post them to the library's website.
Huzzah!
After that I stayed and set up for Teen Tech Week. Which starts tomorrow.
Well, today, as it is in fact Sunday already, though this post won't say it is. 11:50 PM all the way.

see, fishing boats and small stuff i can take, cause you can still see the shore. and you aren't surrounded by crazy drunken people or spastic children.

and it's not like i don't like water or swimming, it's just i've never heard a single good thing about a cruise. cause you got the Titanic, you've got the Andrea Doria whatever that ran into that other Stockholm one, and then the more recent ones that tipped over or lost power, and then at the home branch the Glee-Loving Boss was always telling horror stories how the boat was sideways cause of the wind and waves....

2013 Grammy Award Highlights:
Drinking Game - take a shot every time LL Cool J says "hashtag"
Which of course I didn't, cause according to Deb you'd be "drunk in 20 seconds." I enjoy commentating on Facebook, you get the best comments. Ladies Love Cool James was a pretty great host, I enjoyed his final performance, Travis Barker on drums!!! I was expecting more humor out of him, but the serious approach worked well.
Taylor Swift = T-Swizzle
Taylor was having a ball tonight. Only nominated for like 1 or 2 awards total the only time the camera was on her for longer than 2 seconds she was dancing in the audience. To like every song. I can think of 3 separate occasions where the camera panned to her dancing. It was highly entertaining.
"and Justin Timberlake returns to music on the Grammy stage" did I miss the part where he left the stage?
Did he take a break and I didn't notice? I guess that's what happens when you get married and focus on your acting career.

I really have no comment to this, just that I love Neil Patrick Harris.
"If this is in HD everyone can see our faces and we are not very young." - Fun.
Lena Dunham in the house! She's dating their guitarist so I cheered every time she was on screen. Fun. dominated tonight. That's all I can say. They're fantastic. Though not usually a good idea to announce you have to pee in a thank you speech.
"I got stuck to Miranda Lambert, there's a story in a song...for later, after alcohol...I'm just kidding children."
Best moment of the entire night. Kelly Clarkson wins, hugs half the audience on her way to the stage, gets stuck to Miranda Lambert, totally flustered when giving her speech claiming she didn't think she'd win it. She was great later in the show too with her tributes to the honorary winners. Flashbacks to her early career on American Idol, the only season I watched was the first when she won.
"And if you don't win, don't worry. I was never even nominated in this category and I have my own eyelash line...take that Bon Iver!"
I love Katy Perry, and her shoutout. Why wasn't she nominated for Best New Artist? She dominated the charts? That's weird. It's funny though because when one half of a couple is onstage the other half automatically gets panned to - John Mayer to Katy Perry, Miranda to Blake, Keith to Nicole, Beyonce to Jay-Z, etc.
"Max, even snakes have been on a plane."
Kat Freakin' Dennings!! Literally screamed. Stoked for 2 Broke Girls tomorrow, especially since it's a Grammys episode. Curious about how that will work.
"Most artists who win album of the year tend to go on to have even more phenomenal global success, embark on humongous tours OR get knocked up like last year's winner."
I flippin' love Adele, she's hysterical. Especially at awards shows. It wasn't a big surprise that she won tonight, especially after winning like 6 last year. Mass hysteria. Anyway, she's allowed to say this, because she was last year's winner.
Ended the night with 7/11 correct, which isn't awful but it's not great either. Music Awards aren't my forte because I don't listen to the radio - I always have my ipod and plug that into the car and everything. I mean it's not like I know nothing, I still buy their songs to play on the ipod.
So, as for performances the Black Keys stole the stage, and the tribute to Bob Marley was super cool with Bruno Mars, Sting and Rihanna. Though I was confused as to why Bruno sang his own song first since it was supposed to be a tribute. Granted he did admit that he used the melody of Marley's song "No Woman, No Cry" as inspiration.

i love this song, in my top 5 of theirs which is saying something because i've become crazy obsessive about them and their music since Second Sister got us all hooked. Plus he's on the Voice so that's only intensified it all.
Alright, I'm out. Sleeping in tomorrow cause I don't go in until 4. After that it's date night with the boyfriend.

coffee, work, homework, and potential flying papers
Aaannd, just like every other end of semester, here you go.
Misery - Glee
Aaannd every time I wanna throw papers but then realize I have to then clean them up.
I'M DONE!!! with all my homework!!
For the semester at least. Now gotta order textbooks for January's classes.
Was a good day. Early morning coffee with the Library Goddess with special guest star THE COOL AUNT with her chai tea latte as always.
We put the finishing touches on our newsletter then they took off for work. I stayed a bit and finished things up. Now just gotta upload it and send her the link so she can pass it on to be added to the website. Huzzah!
After that was 9 hours of work, only 1 of them at the desk. And it was Youth Services. Staff meeting at 9, periodicals at 10, off desk doing aide timesheets with Slim Shady at 11, lunch at 12 - actually got to eat with Slim Shady and literally can't remember the last time that happened cause we never get scheduled for lunch together ever - meeting from 1:30-3:00, off desk 'til 4 working on volunteer stuff with my volunteer, circ work and holds at 4, then YS at 5.
Weirdness, but quite relaxing.
After work added posts to the discussion boards and submitted my reference interview paper. So back to the huzzah!

Tomorrow is back to work as usual then I have Saturday off and class Sunday with a soup luncheon. More on that later.

-The only domestic animal not mentioned in the bible is a cat.

Day Off = Homework + Immortals + War Horse + Necessary Roughness
So this is what a day off feels like.
Huh.
Though it wasn't much of a day off.
Since I put off my homework, no surprise there.
But I did at least start it last night.
Then looked at the clock and said, past midnight, eh, I'll do it tomorrow.
So I watched Just Shoot Me instead.
Then slept in, fantastic by the way, and woke up and finished it all.
EVERYTHING!
Done for the freakin' semester.
Well, aside from class tomorrow. But the homework's done, now I just need to present it.
Then I'll be done.
Til June!
Woohoo!
Celebration mode.
So I watched some fun and exciting stuff.
Cause I have lots of fun and exciting stuff checked out.
Such as:
The Immortals.
I could take it or leave it.
I mean, it was good, loved the mythology aspect of it cause I'm an ancients nut like that, but the storyline was a little eh.
The special effects however, the staging, and the colors used during the battles oh my god fantastic. Like I literally rewound and played a bunch of stuff over. There's this one huge battle scene between the Titans and the Gods where the Titans are all in gray, the building is all in like tan and the Gods are in pure gold and those are the only colors. Well, aside from the bloodshed. Seriously cool.
Anyway, Scale of Awesome says 6/10 because of the storyline. There were a lot of times where I was like, what?
And if you didn't know who the characters already were you were totally clueless, like they never introduced who half the gods were, they just had different head-dresses and Poseidon had a trident, and then there was this seer who was supposed to stay a virgin but since she was the love interest that didn't stay too long, whatever. It was alright, but not something I want to watch again.
However, next up on my list was War Horse.
Oh my god I totally cried.
Turned into a total girl.
It was fantastic. I mean, not the crying stuff, but the movie as a whole.
Scale of Awesome says 8/10. But so sad that I don't want to watch it again.
Yeah, one of those.
Spoiler Alert, if you don't want to know then don't read it.
It was not the storyline that I was expecting. I expected it to be all about the boy and his horse, but then the horse goes off to war without the boy, and then the horse gets other owners, and I mean the title makes sense now, not that it didn't before, but it just wasn't what I was expecting.
In a good way.
Cause I like that they brought it other owners, gave the story more depth.
8/10 definitely.
But so sad that I probably will not watch it again.
Had to turn on some comedy, I got Necessary Roughness from Target on sale, fantastic.
"Terrence King! I dragged my so-called bony ass out of bed and left my kids home with a tattooed man named Xeno who is probably scaring the crap out of them right now!"
Though totally weirding me out cause it has Max Medina. Maaax Medina. Which would be fine, except in this show he's supposed to be some sort of mysterious badass security dude, but since I see him as a high school teacher it doesn't fit.
Typecast I know. I was in high school, now I do it when I watch things.
But I can't help it the red head from RED and the Go Meat commericals will forever be Natalie the obnoxious whitelighter, Jon Favreau will always be crazy Danny the linebacker, Idina Menzel is still Maureen Johnson, Jane Lynch will forevermore be Sue Sylvester and Max Medina will always be Max Medina no matter how much of a badass Navy Seal he's supposed to be portraying.
Aside from that the show is pretty good. She's a shrink who's hired by a pro football team to un-crazy their wide receiver. He can't catch anything so she hypnotherapies him.
They like her so much they keep her around, I'm on episode three at the moment, in this one the team's owner also owns a racecar driver who has panic attacks.
So far I'm saying 7/10, worth persuing, and if it takes a turn for the worse it gets donated to the library.

this video seems to pop-up whenever i'm done with a major assignment, not because i'm in misery but because i envy his throwing of papers in the intro. jealous. cause i'd do it, but then i'd have to clean it up.
Now I'm hungry. Post, Eat, Sleep.

Got called to the backroom today. Superwoman says I work too much. She's making me take tomorrow off. I mean, what does she expect me to do? Sleep in? Lay on the couch all day catching up on TV - OMG, have you seen "Unforgettable"? it's fantastic. - and watching DVDs I have that are due this week, aka yesterday?
Geez. Watching out for my sanity like that.
That's why she's the coolest.

"Your jammer's lame!"
Things overheard at the Derby
-"I could be wearing them now, You don't know what I'm wearing under these jeans." fishnet stockings...
-"That was pretty." "That wasn't pretty at all. It was hardcore." "Right it was hardcore pretty!"
-"Point it at the pretty girls!" "That's when you're supposed to point it at your mom." *he points his glowstick at the very large and very male referee*
Wow, sleep-deprivation has never been more fun. Worked more on my paper until the wee hours of night, then went to work 9-6 (smart planning on my part), then hit up the roller derby with some friends. One I haven't seen since derby last year, I got to meet her little boy he was such a cutie. He came and sat by me, other friend "you have an admirer..."
We were down by like 20 but made a major comeback. Pure awesomeness. Flash Gloria is the bombdiggity. I'm saying it. The problem is that we need a secondary awesome jammer. We lost Busty St. Claire and Lt. Slamher so we're left with some inexperienced last year's junior varsity jammers instead. But Flash was fantastic. And DropKick Muffy was pretty good as well. I could ramble for hours about the derby and the skaters but I should probably be sleeping. Or finishing my paper so I can go to the derby again tomorrow night. I mean the paper's done, I just have to finalize it with you know correct grammar and all that crap then throw in some APA citations that are still kickin' my butt then save it then upload it and post it then I'll be done.
And then do one of these with all my papers.

take these broken wings and learn to fly...
I love Tuesdays. Broken up day, go in in the morning, work for three hours then run errands, take a nap, clean more of the apartment, go back in to work then come home and crash. I'm diggin' in. Just thought I should mention it.
Tomorrow will be a longer day, 9-5 then a meeting with my boss's boss's boss. Serious stuff. With a few members of my class to talk about our selection policy and its history. Totally gonna look like comic relief. Again. In front of my boss's boss's boss. No pressure. But I get to see my friends at the other branch, who I feel like I haven't seen in forever even though it's only been since like Friday.
Yes, I'm a nerd. Deal.
I feel like I should post this since I'm on a Maroon 5 kick and I love Glee.
Diggin' the whole pounding the table thing. Was stoked to see them do Maroon 5. Is it me or are there different Warblers in every episode? Like I know the council. And that blonde one, I think his name is Ryker or something. And then the dude that does bass. But everyone else looks new to me, and far too similar to Blaine.
And I'm sorry but I totally love Mercedes' "Hell to the No" song. Was totally crackin' up the whole time. "Loser like Me" is cool as well.
And hooray for Pink! I totally screamed...big fan of that song.
And yes it is mandatory that I post this song. Because I love it.
We attempted it in high school but it wasn't as good as Kurt and these guys' version. Yay Beatles.
And all I can think of when I see Kurt in this outfit is Johnny Cash as the Man in Black. I'll spare you the spouting of "Cocaine Blues" lyrics. Probably not appropriate anyway. The benefits of older parents is growing up listening to artists like Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, the Beach Boys, the Beatles, Carole King, Joni Mitchell, etc.
Speaking of childhood music, here's a favorite:
1983 John Anderson's "Swingin'" was kind of a family song. Ask the older sisters. Pretty sure we have some interesting/embarrassing/blackmail material recordings from them... "phone.....pie.....fry.....garden hose...."
