I could write a blog. I have thoughts.

This is geopolitics, not couples therapy.

So apparently Omaha is going to the Superbowl.

Which makes me feel obligated to cheer for the Broncos.

If that makes sense.

Apparently he calls the play "Omaha" a lot and people from Nebraska are going nuts and giving a bunch of money to charity every time he yells it.

It's kind of a big deal.

Not that I was big fan of Seattle, but I can honestly say I have never before cheered for the Broncos and it will be a totally new experience.

Broncos were my ex's team, if you couldn't figure that out.

I was always more of a Titans girl, but they sucked it up this year so they had no chance.

Current boyfriend really doesn't give a crap about pro football, or college really just the Huskers, so I don't even know if we'll watch it. We did last year for the commercials.

But I'm pretty sure at least 70% of the viewers only do watch it for the commercials.

Don't give me that look, you're probably one of them.

Anyway, it'll be interesting for sure.

And I guess Nebraska was gonna be featured anyway since we made that Pepsi commercial.

Look it's Bruce Lee.

Or Lee Brice, sorry Sketch.

I think if I say it enough times she'll get mad enough to drive all the way down here just to smack me.

From Illinois.

Anyway, they filmed it here in like 15 degree weather so... looking forward to seeing that finished product.

Whatever, what else?

I'm jamming at the farmhouse. Going back at some point tomorrow cause we got the hockey game tomorrow night.

Slept in this morning, ate good food, watched some TV, just jammed out. It was nice to get away from everything for a couple of days.

Mom and I watched some Castle, Major Crimes, and Hollywood Game Night.

I about had a heart attack when I realized both Alyssa Milano and Paget Brewster were on in the same episode, though on opposing teams. Which sucked. Alyssa won, btw. And next week is Angie Harmon. Which means my screams will be louder and more frequent. Perhaps I should prepare the neighbors.

I'm a nerd, get used to it.

And then Lola Glaudini - aka Elle Greenaway - was on Castle, another Criminal Minds alum. Gotta love it. Though I guess Paget is coming back for the 200th cause JJ got kidnapped. Which means I may have to actually watch that one.

I'm way behind.

But I was lazy today. To be fair I was more active yesterday. Work then out with the boyfriend. We saw Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.

It was alright. Interesting seeing the director play the bad guy. Scale of Awesome says 6/10. It would have been better if the guy behind us stopped talking and the guy in front of us got off Facebook.

For serious.

That's really all I remember about yesterday.

No wait, the cops were called cause of a drunk guy.

And this other guy continues to follow me around.

More on that later.

I'm zonked. Gonna crash. Hope you all had an awesome holiday.

Song of the Day:

Your Woman - White Town

one of my favorite songs from the 90's. which makes me sad cause the boyfriend had never heard of it. i can't believe i haven't posted this recently, i've heard it over and over.

if you don't know, become educated, it is wicked.

and i'm out.

Oh, did anyone watch SNL? Loving the new girl! Drake wasn't bad either.

your moony face, so inaccessible, your inner mind, so inexpressible

Not much for today, just this.

Criminal Minds spoiler, don't read if you don't wanna know.

Paget leaving sucks.

I'm already way behind, if she's gone I don't have much motivation to keep watching it.

And who are they gonna replace her with, really? It's already such a male cast, even with Garcia and JJ. They'll need another strong female lead.

I get it though, CBS cuts her and AJ/JJ for budget stuff, but it was really to start a spinoff that everyone knew was gonna fail from the start, then they renew the contract for a year, forcing her to come back.

I'd get tired of the drama too, but she will be missed.

Maybe she'll go on to have another great sitcom.

Andy Richter Controls the Universe was highly amusing, it'd be great to see her go back to comedy.

Sorry. Ramblings.

Though I LOVE the radio edit, I'm kinda digging it live.

"I Hear The Bells" Mike Doughty

took me a year to figure out what song it was after hearing the refrain on Grey's.

nice voice crack and apology.

Big day tomorrow. Last day for 23, sad day.

Was a good year. I think. Yeah, definitely good. Yeah.

Monday, January 23, 2012

but you locked me out of your mind, and left me standing here behind...

Weird.

Pete from Private Practice is a priest on SVU.

But then Bob Saget was a murderer, Bernadette Peters was a lawyer, Paget Brewster was a grieving daughter...

The list goes on.

Though when I saw Paget I actually screamed at the TV. "Awesome!"

It's always fun to see your favorite people as guest stars on random shows.

Like when Angie Harmon turned all evil assassin chick on Chuck, totally did not expect that.

Anyway, SVU. I've made it through to season eight from the beginning.

Got them through the library, I don't think I could own them.

It's a great show, just nothing I want to watch over and over cause it's depressing.

So, Sketch and Edit's Excellent Adventure takes place in like less than a week.

We're meeting up halfway to celebrate our birthdays.

Stoked.

First vacation vacation I've taken since...oh jeez. I don't even remember the last time I left the state.

Well, that's depressing.

Think it was camping with Second Sister's family. And that was like 5 years ago.

All my other "vacations" are for camp - and that's everything but a vacation. Oh well, it's worth it.

So yes, I'm taking my camera - or my "hand attachment" as she calls it. Though I haven't taken pictures with it in like a year.

Like I said, not much time for a vacation when you're working 40 hours a week, plus taking classes, plus family stuff, plus camp stuff...

So I'm stoked.

Started my homework today, though I had more questions than answers. Glad I have smart friends also taking the class - that's helpful. We just started and I'm already totally lost.

Oh well, I just gotta figure out what books they're talking about so I can figure out how to catalog them. It's a group thing, they divided us up and we're all supposed to add in a bunch of stuff, work together and catalog items.

So if I do something wrong they can fix it. Huzzah!

Once I get that all sorted out I'll be ready to roll on the other stuff. Evaluating catalogs and making a chart.

Easy enough, I just gotta get it done before this weekend since I'll be gone.

I know, sorry, boring ramblings.

What else is exciting?

Umm...went in to work today for two hours. Taught Squirt how to do a trace list.

I used to love doing them at the home library. Kept me entertained for hours.

Though you rarely find anything.

Which is good and bad.

Good cause it means you're doing your job, bad because it gets old fast.

But, on the rare occasion you do find something - and these are things that were supposed to be pulled at one time or another and they weren't where they were supposed to be - you grab it and do a victory dance.

That was our motto when we were done with the lists as well.

Toss it and do a happy dance.

That's what I'll do when I'm finally able to graduate and be done done with school.

No homework, just work work. Though a doctorate sounds like fun.

Hey, a girl can dream.

But I don't want to be one of those lifetime students.

Be overloaded all the time.

Even though it'd be cool to throw "dr" in front of my name. or "phd" at the end of it.

Moving on, Carter and I are gonna jam out to some more Benson and Stabler kicking ass.

How they thought they could replace them I'll never know.

I think I'll stop working my way through the seasons when I get to that point.

They are the show.

Though I am curious as to how they have both Cabot and Novak as lawyers at the same time. Then they're turning into regular Law and Order.

But no, watching that would be promoting the new cast and I refuse.

It's like when all the Criminal Minds fans boycotted until they brought back both AJ and Paget.

I'm old fashioned like that.

More boring ramblings, sorry.

On to the music rec's before I think of something else to bore you with.

"Silver Wings" Merle Haggard LIVE

slowly fading out of sight

"Somebody Like You" Keith Urban

Hey, it's Sloan from Grey's.

Not like Mark Sloan, like Sloan Sloan, the obnoxious gets pregnant daughter.

Plus Sarah Drews in the same episode. Huh.

So far behind on Grey's it's ridiculous.

Apparently they're doing some alternate reality episode.

Or maybe they did and I'm behind on that too.

Anyway, Karev is supposed to be some total nerd.

Plus Bailey in dreadlocks.

Gonna have to tune in to that one.

More boring ramblings.

close but no pez...

Quote of the day:
Superwoman and me talking about my schedule through Glee-loving boss on the phone
Me: Woohoo! I get to sleep in! Victory dance!
GLB: She says Woohoo, she gets to sleep in. She's victory dancing.
....
GLB: She says you lose points for making noise in the library.... But we're in the backroom....okay nevermind.

HA! I'm rocking the 136.

So, today was interesting - lots of multitasking as techically I was scheduled to be an LA3 and an Aide at the same time. But we switched it so I was at the desk all morning then shelved in the afternoon. LA3. Still weird to say.

Then I came home all like pumped about actually doing stuff - clean the apartment, write some stuff, edit some stuff, pay some bills, but yeah. Totally did nothing but watch SVU and lay on my couch. Took a nap with my big fat cat.

Tomorrow might be more of the same. Only work in the morning - then I'll attempt to do the stuff I was going to do today. But at least my homework is done and posted until next week. I'm allowed to be lazy for a day. Or a few. It's like in my family it's not just a birthday it's more like a birthmonth. Be nice to me it's my birthmonth. I get to be lazy it's my birthmonth. No that was last month. Oh right.

And OMG it's freaking September already which means Xmas is coming and I'm stoked! Which is weird to think about already I know, but I still have all the Xmas songs on my ipod and one played today while on shuffle. I jammed and tried to figure out what to get what for who. or whom.
I was never good at that who/whom thing. one is supposed to represent he/she and the other is supposed to represent him/her but I can never remember which is which. Usually the English major in me would look something like that up cause it would drive me nuts but at the moment I'm enjoying my lazy day with SVU and Carter my lazy fat cat who right now is laying on the floor staring at me wondering why I'm not feeding him.

Song of the night: I won't hit you with my xmas one, although i'm tempted to. here's a jam session instead

"Long Cool Woman" The Hollies

OUT soon. probably more SVU before then.

Or maybe some Charlie's Angels but I'm afraid to start season four cause Kate Jackson isn't in it. As great as Farraw Fawcett was I wasn't completely depressed when she got replaced by Cheryl Ladd. I actually liked Kris, Jill's kid sister. Plus she made guest appearances anyway so it wasn't like we lost her completely.

At first I didn't like Sabrina so much. Kinda thought she was a snot. Now she's kind of a badass. So she's awesome. Plus she's Prentiss's mom. Which cracks me up to the extreme.
"I love you, I'll prove it, you won't like it, I don't care" kind of became a one-line wonder for me in college. Even though she was just reading what a criminal had written on a note and left in her luggage on a ship. Which he threatened to blow up. So much cooler than Kelly's note said, "Bon Voyage, you're dead." But that was back in first season when Jill was still a full-fledged agent instead of a race-car driver. I think the title was like Angels Afloat or something.....nope "Angels at Sea". Close but no pez.

Does anyone else say that or is that another family phrase? Close but no pez. I'm assuming it's an Everts family thing. We have a lot of those. But those pez dispensers are usually a pretty big thing for Xmas gag gifts. Aaannd we come full circle.

But seriously? What kind of plot line is that? She leaves the agency to drive racecars? Even though Sabrina was the one to drive the racecar in the episode where criminals were smuggling things across the boarder during a race.

And who the heck is this new chick? Seriously? Tiffany? Or what's the next one? Julie or something. But she doesn't even last a full season.

I should just put the disc in and suffer through it. Or at least the first episode. Before I judge her completely. Which I have. But I shouldn't. She could be awesome. I guess. Prentiss came to replace Greenway, she was awesome. Ziva replaced Kate, she was awesome. Not as awesome as Kate, but Agent Todd is hard to beat.

Which reminds me, I got season six of Criminal Minds even though I refuse to ever watch it. But it's the principle of the thing. Maybe I'll watch the first disc...up until they boot off AJ/JJ. But PAGET IS BACK!! Check this!

Stoked.

Okay, more SVU and I'm out. I'll deal with the Angels tomorrow.

Hello it's me, I'm not at home. If you'd like to reach me leave me alone.

I'm tempted to put that as my voicemail. But as my phone is the official camp number and I'm either always working or my phone is on silent that probably wouldn't be the smartest idea.

A whole weekend with no internet. It's down at the farmhouse. Usually that would drive me nuts but this time it was actually relaxing.

Saturday:
-Little Sister's wedding was awesome. I got to sit by my baby sister.
Me: I may cry. It's your job to make me laugh right before we go to meet her.
Yeah, she couldn't do it so we passed it on to Jamie.
She looked beautiful and she got through her vows so I was proud.

-Huskers kicked butt! Parentals taped it and I watched it when I got home. Totally stoked for this weekend's game!

Sunday/Monday:
-Okay, Chuck is the bomb. Seriously. It's funny, it's got action and good storylines - I love it. And, now, so does my mom. I got her hooked this weekend. That's basically all we did. Watched Chuck. Ate. Watched more Chuck. Slept. Watched even more Chuck. She was so sad I had to bring it back with me here that I had to leave her a season. Seriously.
And apparently I know absolutely nothing about it at all cause when Angie Harmon guest starred I about fell off the couch. Seriously.
So I encourage you all to check it out. It's fantastic. And if you don't like it then you're welcome to kick my butt. But you may have to get in line. Pretty sure Sketch has been waiting to do that for a while now. I love you! *pathetic face included*

-Figured out my epiphany/revelation moment that my brother and sister in law were talking about us not being thorough on. But I can't post it to Second Sister figures it out. It was one of those...ohhhh! moments. Like I was totally confused about what he was talking about but now I get it.

-Worked at the movie theater Sunday night with Homey G Wigger and some friends. It was fun. I did drinks in the concession stand.
Me: You didn't tell me about that!
Kim: New ice will fall and hit you. Also, you will run out of Sierra Mist. And you will get sprayed.
Thanks for the heads up.
But it was fun and I got started on my book.

Tuesday:
-Went in at 8 this morning to shelve everything. They painted over the weekend and took down everything that was up against the walls, put it in boxes, and piled them in the middle of the library.

Which, normally wouldn't be that big of a deal but at this branch we're smaller and need to utilize wall space. It took all morning plus part of afternoon to put shelves back up and the books back on them. Mass hysteria. But I got to work with Slim Shady and Superwoman so it was cool.
Although I did learn that I was anal retentive. Which I wasn't aware of until now. So either you all knew and kept it a secret or this is BRAND NEW INFORMATION!! sorry. Friends reference.

-Worked on some homework this afternoon then went back to work tonight. Jammed out with Superwoman and now I'm back.

Tomorrow:
-First full day back at both branches since the weekend off.

Song of the day:

Listened to it on the way to work and it was stuck in my head all day. Drove me bananas.

"A Change Will Do You Good" Sheryl Crow

love the guest stars. "Well this isn't Elm Street." She sounds a bit like Paget when she says that - I had to flip back and make sure it wasn't her.

Groove is in the Heart

So, what did I do with my halfday off?

Rizzoli and Isles dancing behind the scenes - gotta love it

oh the joys. they do this a lot. but this was angie's birthday so i felt the need to post it.

She's back!

Paget's back on set. love it. Totally stoked for Criminal Minds - coming back September 21st! And the whole gang is signed in for the new season. They said they're bringing her back first episode but we'll see. You know Morgan's gonna be mad. Hotch will probably take a beating cause he knew. Not sure about JJ.

Other than working 11-2, not finishing my puzzle, writing barely, cleaning out my desktop, I did catch up on my TV/movies.

Watched the new Warehouse 13 online. HG's back with a vengeance! I heard rumors of a spinoff, I'm stoked but not. Cause I mean it'd be awesome cause she'd have her own show. But then it wouldn't because she wouldn't be with Pete and Myka and Claudia and all that. Maybe they'll do crossover episodes like they do with Eureka. and now apparently Alphas. It's like SyFy is blending all their shows together. Which is sweet. I know, nerd. Moving on. This week's episode was awesome, I highly encourage you find it online. Jack and Rebecca are back - "And me?" "You gaze at me lovingly." - they were Warehouse agents back in the 60's and Rebecca came in first season to help with case. They brought her back in second season and now in the third. Awesomeness.

Then went to see this:

Cowboys and Aliens

It actually was pretty good. Scale of Awesome says 8/10. Indiana Jones meets Space Cowboy Bond in this western good vs. evil flick. Harrison Ford, Daniel Craig, Olivia Wilde, Sam Rockwell. Directed by Jon Favreau - but see, everytime I hear that name I think of him in the Replacements, not him as the director of Iron Man.

Anyway, despite peoples' negative opinions on the movie - those who haven't seen it and say it looks dumb - I rather liked it. and would totally see it again...on DVD.

Quotes of the night:

"You're a bit of a blonde in a brunette's body."
me to my niece. cause it's true. she's just a little goofy. and blonde...at times. We told her she needs her own blog and that can be the title. The post can all be about B words. Boys. Brains. Bananas. Whatever. We'll see what happens with that.

"Watch out for Bobis."
not even gonna try to explain that one.

Oldest Sister: "Get your head out of your purse!"
M: "It smells nice in here!"

goofy.

and the famous
M: "Blame it on Dad. It's his fault I'm stupid."
but she knows how to spell stupid, so she's not that bad.

Also tonight saw the preview for the new Three Musketeers movie - totally going go see that.

Love Mr. Darcy with a sword and Orlando Bloom as the bad guy.

Music Rec's for the night:

"King of Wishful Thinking" Go West

played before the movie tonight - had to google the original artist

"Groove is in the Heart" Deee-Lite

love the video. everything disco is just fantastic - clothing, dancing, just pure awesomeness.

Andy Richter Controls the Universe

Andy: "The imaginary dead guy was right."

DVD review of Andy Richter Controls the Universe- it's fantastic. Scale of Awesome says 8/10 I'm seriously dying from laughter. ...Yeah, you've probably never heard of it. Go here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0307716/

Jessica: "I have never been so alert. Coffee should be drinking me!"

Andy Richter plays Andy Richter who's a writer working for this huge company. He writes manuals and he goes to his office one morning and there's another dude in there, claiming it's his office. Turns out this dude is going to illustrate the manuals and at first Andy plots on how to get this guy fired so he can get his office back but then they become friends so that doesn't last long.

Wendy: "She's like the terminator except she's not from the future and she likes to dance!"

Paget Brewster plays Jessica Green, which of course, is the reason that I picked it up in the first place, well, ordered it through interlibrary loan. Pure awesomeness.

Jessica: "Oh yeah, I, I meant to erect a monument to that conversation but I couldn't find a grate of marble boring enough."

Anyway, it's fantastic. Paget is their boss, well, their supervisor Jessica. Also important are Keith, the good-looking best friend of Andy's played by James Patrick Stewart, and Andy's love interest Wendy, the new receptionist, aka actress Irene Molloy, who's in a relationship with Keith. So that's awkward. But only lasts like the first two episodes. The illustrator who he wants to get fired but then turns out to be okay is named Byron, and he's played by Jonathan Slavin who's pretty much a pro at the whole awkward dude role. Oh right, and the imaginary dead dude mentioned earlier is the founder of Andy's company. He's been dead for like years...and I have no idea who plays him so I'd have to look that one up.

Wendy: Where's your lipstick?
Jessica: In my purse.
Wendy: Where's your purse?
Jessica: I don't know. All around my lipstick.

But the great thing about Andy is that he's a writer, so half the show is like all these scenarios kind of like, I could have done this...but what I really did was this.

Wendy: "Puppies, yeah, I think they're great!"

Wait....Is that Kirk? Oh my god, he's everywhere!! Gilmore Girls Kirk makes an appearance as Andy's neighbor and old frat buddy from college. That's interesting.

Jessica Green: Do not ask her out.
Andy Richter: Why not?
Jessica Green: Because you're gonna go out a few times, then you'll break up. She'll feel hurt, you'll feel guilty and I'll feel dirty because no one will be cleaning my apartment.

That's my favorite episode so far because it has Lola Glaudini in it as the maid. Lola was in Criminal Minds before Paget came on, she played Elle Greenaway - actually Paget came in to replace her mid-second season after Elle went off the reservation and shot Jason London....who was also in Out Cold with AJ Cook aka the AJ of AJ/JJ in Criminal Minds... Sorry, I watch too many movies/tv shows.
SQUARE!: It's funny to see Paget and Lola in a comedy together instead of like two dramatic cops.

Okay, here's part two of the "Best of" cause it's funnier than part one.

"......i sent a memo....." "Yeah, Tim Stalin in accounting...that was the worst Stalin I could think of."
A lot more second season than first though. I got the complete series from ILL. gonna have to buy it off amazon.

love it.

Oh right, today, so I worked 9-6 all at the small branch. And the cool thing about working with Sensei is that she's a cool boss. Sometimes you know if you're one on one with a boss you're like under pressure to do everything right but I feel none even though technically I'm at the bottom of the totem pole there. Well, the top of the totem pole I guess since that phrase is actually inaccurate.

Okay, gonna watch more now. Cause I'm hooked. And I'm free. For tomorrow and Monday. Free like a bird. Be free! Be free birds! I don't know where I was going with that. Maybe to drive a bus or something. I'm still sad about Jack the Pigeon. Totally depressing. I killed a bird. Sort of. I mean, I didn't physically kill it. But it did ride with me from work to my apartment where it died in my parking lot. So, it's partially my fault. Cause he's dead. And that's sad.

Wendy: "Jessica...harrassment has the word 'ass' right in the middle of it...it's like the guys who made it up were trying to give you a big clue..."

Okay, life is good. Have Sunday and Monday off. Sunday is vacation time cause I don't get that ever and Monday is all about camp. Huzzah! I'm out.

Oh right, music. Um. Right.

Bills, Bills, Bills - Glee Cast Version

pretty sure the last time I posted this somebody was mad at me the next day cause it was stuck in their head. so i'm sorry. hope it doesn't happen again.

now i'm out.

SQUARE!!

haha, i'm diggin it.

*Spoiler Alert*

Okay, enough time has elapsed at this point to where, I think I can talk about this stuff. If you haven't seen the finales at this point either you don't watch the show or you just don't care how the season ended. So, this post will most likely be filled with spoilers to various tv show finales. Aka NCIS, Bones, Castle and Criminal Minds. So, if you haven't seen the finales and plan on watching them online or something you should skip this post. Or at least skip to the bottom.

What was it, the year of death?! Dude! Even on Glee! I'm wondering if the different networks have some sort of meeting and decide on a theme. Like, let's make everyone happy this year and unite the love interests or let's kill someone off that everybody loves so they tune in next year just to see how we can screw up next!

NCIS - Okay, so you knew it was going to be a big episode after the mystery eye opened MTAC. Seriously. But did they have to kill off Mike Franks?! I totally cried. I like him. Couldn't they have killed Trent Kort instead? As sad as it was the funeral scene was still pretty cool with Gibbs and all the Navy stuff. Speculation for next season: Tony investigating Gibbs. Cause, I mean, who else is he going to investigate? They've already done enough to Ziva, Tim doesn't really have a secret past and with Gibbs there's endless material. Plus he's having that sort-of feud with Vance lately. He's suspicious of his past or something, there's gotta be some kind of retaliation. Right?

Bones - Um, can I just say FINALLY! Emily Deschanel is actually pregnant so we knew somehow that had to come into play. I didn't think this would be the kind of show to hide her behind lab tables, although there would be plenty. Oh my god, could you imagine having pregnancy hormones and morning sickness on that set? There's a disgusting and decomposing dead body in every episode! (Well, minus the live victim from this season) I'm sad they didn't give us more details about Booth and Bones.
Speculation: Is Angela going to start bringing her baby to work or is there going to be some sort of daycare center at the lab? Next year's gonna be awesome. let's leave it at that.

Castle - Big episode! and finally for Castle and Beckett too! even though she's like dying and all that. But they can't kill her off because then they wouldn't have a show.
Speculation: When they told us someone was going to die this season I immediately jumped to Montgomery. The captain is always the one that gets killed off or leaves. And, because Hollywood is cliche, I'm sure he'll be replaced by a strong female character that Kate hates. Bones, Saving Grace, and NCIS all did it already.
-Bones had Cam, who thankfully turned out to be awesome. She replaced Dr. Goodman who I still refer to as "Ed" no matter what he's in because he played Claire's husband Ed in Women's Murder Club. Just like Claire will always be Claire even though she plays Vance's wife on NCIS and a victim's wife on Bones and a cop on Criminal Minds and the chick in the census commercials, yeah, yeah, I know, Move On, I've heard it all.
-Anyway, then there was Lt. Kate Perry on Saving Grace who took over when their old captain got shot in the head in the squadroom only a couple episodes in. The squad of course loved their old captain but Grace had a history with Kate so they got along fine.
-NCIS had Jenny Shepherd ascend to the director spot after the first/second season's dude, who we saw in maybe 10 episodes out of the 2 seasons he was supposed to be the director, retired. That was controversy even though she was pretty kickass.
-Even with The Closer Brenda Leigh was parachuted over all their heads and they hated her. We loved her but they hated her. Now they love her too. Soon she'll be leaving and replaced by someone else as well in the spinoff. And that's gotta be a female lead as well since it's got soooo many male cast members, unless they're leaving too. There's gonna be a lot of pressure for that spinoff since the Closer is so popular. Few spinoffs are as good as the originals. Law and Order SVU is better than the original, but that's just my opinion. And Sketch's. Plus technically, NCIS was introduced through an episode of Jag so I guess you could call that a spinoff. Oh, and what was with that Finder episode of Bones? Totally and completely random. Is that going to be a spinoff as well? They've got the big actors for it so I wouldn't be surprised.

Criminal Minds - Okay, I couldn't resist. Technically this is a spoiler for next season instead of the finale as I didn't watch anything from this season. With good reason. You take away the good main characters to fund a crappy spinoff that was going to fail anyway and the fans protest. And it works!
GUESS WHO'S BACK!

TAKE THAT, CREATIVE REASONS! AJ/JJ and Paget/Prentiss back on CM, Awesomeness! Now I can start watching again. Totally stoked. Now all we need is a new contract for Thomas and we're golden. He's the only one who isn't officially signed on my next season.
Speculation: Gotta kill off Doyle to get Prentiss back. He's the reason they faked her death and she went underground. Only JJ and Hotch know - although, they're a group of profilers so I wouldn't be surprised if some of them don't already know as well. And if they didn't...then they're probably just going to be pissed they weren't told. Morgan especially.
yeah yeah, i didn't watch the show but i read up on it as the season went on, had to know what was going on with the characters i still liked. temporarily felt sad for the temp actress when i read her twitter but i'm past that. AJ/JJ and Paget/Prentiss returning trump any bad emotion left behind from last season.

Felt I should do this now as I haven't really posted posted in a while. Minus the cough medicine night it's mostly just been the highlights and then I'm going to bed now because I have to work and do more homework. Which will pretty much sum up my upcoming week as well. Monday is work then Saltdogs game, huzzah! Tuesday is work then homework then more work, Wednesday is work then teen program for class then WICKED! HUZZAH to that! gonna have to brush up on my wizard of oz beforehand. Thursday is work plus homework and Friday is work plus homework plus finalized posting of all homework. Then Saturday is the last class we have to show up for. Next week we're just posting stuff online by Saturday. I think. Will have to look into that.

Music Rec for the night:

You can't really top last night's, they're actually a really good band. I was impressed by them earlier and again last night. They did Raise Your Glass since her voice was back I was stoked.

"She's got the rhythm, and I got the blues" - Alan Jackson

I've been a fan of Alan Jackson since I was a kid and I still totally jam out when they come up on my ipod. This is one of my favorites. Although, in the video, I'm thinking her dance moves say a lot more than "I'm over you" ...haha. *insert joke about exotic dancers next door* SEE! That still works....even though I don't actually have exotic dancers living next door. At least I think I don't. But I don't really know my neighbors. Hmmm...

And here's an extra Video Rec for you tonight.
Glee interview outtakes "Say what?!"

must watch at least chord's president bush impersonation. duuuude. plus the on set dancing.

This is a week of my favorite things Day Six: Youtube clips

Today was awful. But family always helps. We had cake for Gram's birthday. The cool aunt did some 'creative cutting' around the wording. It was nice. Totally loud, probably could have gotten thrown out with all of our noisemakers - Gram was the loudest!! But we hung out, watched some reality TV, ate cake and drank asti. Good times.

Okay, so, because I'm running out of ideas you get some of my favorite youtube clips. But, because there are far too many to post, these are just a few. Cause yeah, too many to post.
So, these range from music videos to stand up to talk shows to clips of shows to behind the scenes stuff to whatever.
In no particular order we have....

Victor Borge on Mozart's opera

No one knows why, except Mozart and he's dead.
I grew up watching him with my grandparents. I still have the vhs tape at my apartment even though I don't have a vhs player. If you like this one you might also like these
Phonetic punctuation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lF4qii8S3gw

Word Disassociation by Lemon Demon

This is from like high school but I still love it. This is the guy that does all the Potter Puppet Pals stuff.

Absolutely Fabulous

I love love love this show and I think this is my favorite clip of my favorite episode - season four. Too funny.

Carrie Fisher roasts George Lucas

Because there's no underwear in space!!
A must see for a Star Wars fan

Friends blooper reel

One of many out there actually, they have a cool behind the scenes thing with the cast where they explain them.
Here's part two: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ppUPgV3cA8
aside from all the blooper vids, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSQTgGUF2Z4

Craig Ferguson as Jessica Fletcher

And the answer to what the motorcycle/deer quote title was from MURDER SHE WROTE!
Has there been a murder?!?
But this was from way back when I watched him every night and he still used sound machines and all that.

Lauren Graham on Ellen

Mooning, Beads, and Piano Playing

Paget Brewster on Conan - interrupted by alarms but still awesome

I didn't whore, I didn't hook, I answered the phones!
