You know when you see bugs and you get that feeling like they're all over and you get all itchy? That was me today, and my coworkers didn't help, just kept talking about the bugs, mean. It was disgusting so I came home and took a shower then started cleaning my apartment, not like my mother is coming, throw everything in the closet kind of cleaning but like OCD style cleaning.

Tomorrow is split shift, gonna go grocery shopping between then take a nap. Yay naps. Think I'm gonna sleep now.

This weekend was a bit like madness - awesome one minute and the next total crap. Yesterday I actually got "all-hail"d by a coworker, she fake bowed and everything, it was amusing. Apparently I'm the go-to tech geek when virtual services has the day off. That was one of the highlights. One of the lowlights? Coworker calling in sick and us running the whole main library with a 4 person team. Let's put it this way, there was never a dull moment. Ever. Because there was no downtime. But at least the day flew by. And my supervisor came through unscathed. Barely. Felt bad for him, he was so stressed, but he pulled it off grandly.

So, to go along with the whirlwind of a weekend, I give you Shakin' Stevens!
Am I so weird to know this song? My partner in Delayed...Reaction knew it too but from when he was overseas. So we did it for karaoke a while ago...wow...karaoke, haven't done that in a while. I love Tallulah Bankhead. And that they based Cruella after her. That's fantastic. The bad girl of show business back in the 1930s-40s, she was an all-around actress, theater mostly but also movies, radio, and tv. She was known for her deep voice (calling everyone "Dahling") and um, well, we'll go with "rebellious" personality. That's the nice way of putting it. She was kind of a bitch. But she loved to party and smoke and do drugs and drink - her last word was "bourbon" or "codeine...bourbon" to be more specific - and she had an on-going rivalry with Bette Davis, they hated each other. But she had some of the best one-liners.

Tomorrow is halfday plus homework plus the possibility of going back to the white walls/sterylized equipment, but that depends on what mom and oldest sister have to say.

Okay, I made that up, but still, 70 degrees in February?! That's just mental, right? Maybe it will actually be a decent temperature on Saturday...doubtful.

Today I was a ninja of awesome.
Packed up the large type, pulled all the holds and expired holds, plus checked in the whole bookdrop all before 10AM. After that it was cake...not. But fun. And there was cake! Well, brownies, as people brought food to celebrate the February birthdays, thanks everybody! I feel special. The cookies were excellent, and I'm still waiting to try those ass-kicking peanuts with the picture of the donkey on the cover. I'll save that for some time tomorrow probably at lunch. It'll be my mid-day jolt.

Then, after work and working on paper and all that went over to sister's house to watch RED which I convinced her into buying and they loved it! Like the whole family was quoting it, hilarious. "Poop to that!"

So, tomorrow means more work, then final touches to paper before I post it (which I'm putting off until the library goddess gets back to me which is my excuse for procrastinating) then I have a social life, hooray! Mmm...burgers and Glee...awesomeness.

Today was excellent, we were really busy so it flew by and it was just a fun day. There were so many people because it's soooo nice outside. And everyone was in a good mood, so it made the day exciting. Even more exciting is that I'm only in the morning tomorrow, then I get to spend the rest of the day with some of my family playing TMNT/MarioKart/Just Dance and eating crab legs. I know you're all super jealous.

But, when I showed up for work today, all I could think about was this dream I had last night. Which I didn't remember - even though I put them in my phone - until I entered the building. Because it was about work. Well, sort of. Basically, myself and two male coworkers broke into song in the middle of the work day at the desk. And the song happened to be "Roll out the barrel"... Fantastic, right?! Anyway, the dream just felt like this big musical which made walking up to that desk almost comical this morning. Thankfully, the two male coworkers who were singing with me weren't there today so I wouldn't have to explain to them why I was laughing hysterically when I saw them. Just because it's not a very them kind of thing to do. Which makes it even funnier.
Anyway, so when I was on break I was reading through my dream log thing (I don't know what else to call it) that I keep in the notes section of my phone. It's basically just what the dream was about and if I can remember any of the lines or whatever, so that when I'm really bored I read them and try to remember. Some of the more recent ones are really funny - I'm not sure what's causing that. But some memorable ones are:

I grew up kind of a the Mamas and the Papas nut. I know a lot about them, mostly because I think the whole romance, cheating, then more romance thing was kind of funny. I think maybe I'm a little more interested in classic music because of the age gap in my family. I grew up on the Beatles and the Beach Boys, and Aretha and all that. But I listened to this song and "Dedicated the the one I love" every night before I went to bed for like a year. Seriously. I just love this song - and that one - and thought it was fitting for the post.

Work was fun - got to be at one place for half an hour before I was sent over to the other to cover for more sickness. It actually flew by pretty quickly as there was a steady flow of patrons.

But tonight was just hilarious. We went to our favorite Mexican place for Jalapeno Margaritas!! And by we I mean my sisters, my mom and my cool aunt who brought us Valentine's day presents. Hooray for liquor and fun socks! And ducks that light up, can't forget about the ducks - I actually have a collection of ducks from her now - there are two in my car from both graduations and now I'll have to add this one as well.
The food was awesome and massive so half of my meal is in a box in my fridge. I think I have yet to finish a meal there - I get the same thing every time and half of it always ends up in my fridge. But it's excellent. Steak fajitas with a jalapeno margarita is like the perfect meal. I'm debating where we should go for dinner next weekend as it's my choice, but I think two weekends of Mexican in a row would probably not be smart. So many options... mmmm...sushi?....mmmm.... Dad would probably prefer burgers or something. Which is good, I like burgers. Will have to do some research this week.

Aaannd of course anything that involves family brings on some new fun quotes that made me laugh, cringe, and almost choke on my margarita.
My mom bought my friend - well our friend - some flowers for what she thought was her birthday even though her birthday is in October. Which I told her. After she asked if she had the date right. So she called them back and changed it to "Happy Valentines Day" flowers instead. Quick thinking really. But I've been teasing her ever since, as did the rest of the table.

Halfday that felt a bit like a wholeday in the beginning but I think that's because I chose a fruit smoothie over coffee this morning. Madness. Falling asleep while walking meant dragging my feet again, dang. I was making such progress on the whole don't-drag-your-feet-you're-killing-your-shoes thing. Not really. Sometimes I just catch myself cause I hear the dragging so I try walking like a normal person until I zone out and do it again.
As there is not much to talk about today, aside from shelving, scanning YA stuff, doing laundry and dishes I won't bore you completely with more rambling.
So, moving on.

Joe Studley and the Lost in Transit

So we decided to form a band today at work. I did the lost in transit list and we discussed how that would be a cool band name so the QofA is gonna play flute, my Glee-loving boss will play trumpet, my other boss is gonna play piano, I'll play guitar and Joe Studley is gonna be our lead singer. He's gonna do impressions of his favorite bands, we think it'd be exciting. Now all we need is a drummer. But we'll call ourselves "Joe Studley and the Lost in Transit" or just "Lost in Transit" I'm partial to the Joe Studley version just because that nickname is so funny. He used it to describe someone and now it's sticking to him. Am I the only one who hasn't heard that expression before?

Hooray for a split shift! Went in twice and spent the time between writing. Which I miss immensely. But working in public service is always good for inspiration and humor.
Got to work with Space Cadet again tonight. She called me dirt. Then said I'm below dirt, mining for minerals. It's not as bad as it sounds when it's in context of what we were talking about, but out of context is what I gave her crap for. It's funny because two days ago she called me her kid - we matched with like the same color green shirts jeans and red hair as did the QofA we should have taken a group picture - then earlier tonight she called me a wizkid and then like ten minutes later I was dirt. But it's worth it cause now I get to say "She called me dirt...." in a sad voice every time I see her.

The song of the day I listened to repeatedly while writing more adventures of Sketch and Edit. It's like relaxing, I love the deep voice. It zenned me out. So I'm posting it. This one came out last year. He's probably wildly popular - like I said, I don't listen to the radio - but I do enjoy this song.

so, i figured i'd give you an example of some good music that came from sunday. glee awesomeness, and it's been stuck in my head ever since.



and as awesome as thriller is, if not a bit overrated, it's not as awesome when mashed up with something else. so my favorites were probably this one and "she's not there" a remake of the zombies which i've been singing all day at work, had to buy them both off itunes.
i should post their original version as well, both awesome but this is like a spot on impression with the background noises. amazing. why not.

tonight was the mother of all grocery shopping. like seriously, and i didn't want to make more than one trip up the stairs so i carried everything in at once almost wiping out on the ice. smooth. but i got new shoes since dragging my feet causes a definite lack of traction on my other ones.

tomorrow is split shift. maybe i'll take a nap between, that'd be nice. usually i run errands but now they're done. speaking of, i totally made food tonight for supper. like fajitas, and after successfully finding the fan, didn't burn down the building. shocker. i should have taken pictures, space cadet will be amazed.

So, today was a halfday - got to sleep in, made breakfast, scanned the jseries books AND there was actually stuff for me to shelve today - I was so excited. But soon summer reading will start again and I will be overloaded so maybe I should be thankful that it's slow.

Remember how I haven't finished a book since I started working in the library system? I picked up a new one that I love because I don't have to read it all. Hooray for library newsletters! It's called "Touch me, I'm sick: the 52 Creepiest Love Songs" (weird title i'm aware) and it basically lists all these songs, gives a summary and then explains why they're creepy. So funny, and perfect because I don't have time to read a whole book. I can just skim and flip to songs I've actually heard of, awesomeness. But I was on the phone with my best friend while reading and ran into Whiskey Lullaby which she loves so she's mad it's in there. But the description was hilarious, "cheatin' + drinkin' + shootin' = ballad" seriously hilarious. Tom Reynolds is the author. It's definitely worth checking out. He also wrote the 52 most depressing songs which is next on my list.

Aside from work, today was mostly filled with finishing the homework due in approx. 4 minutes from now. But I finished it around 5:30, I know right?! I was so proud. But it meant going over my notes which led me to my quotes page. I carry around quote books wherever I go, I had one for each year of college and they're filled with stuff that friends said and professors and just like writing ideas and stuff. They're falling apart because I take them everywhere. So, since the Library Goddess is my prof I figured I'd have to start another one. And she is the library goddess - she has the plaque to prove it. These are just a few of my favorites from her and my classmates from our first session together.

Only two more weeks until the next class. That just happens to fall on my birthday. That'll be interesting. In the mean time we're supposed to read an article and write a two item analysis thing that's due on the 18th, meaning I should probably start sometime soon. I got my grades for assignment #1 today, 40/40. Not bad for a first assignment in grad school. Gives me a bit more confidence in my paper for tonight. But not much more. Still nervous, and feeling a bit like comic relief. Everyone there is so professional and knows what they're doing in life - they have goals and all that and I'm still lost. But she uses me as an example so it makes me sound smart! So I've got that going for me, hahaha. I'm just taking it one week at a time.

Now my ipod won't connect to my computer. THE HORROR! Oh well, a problem for tomorrow. Speaking of, anybody watching the superbowl? Go Steelers! I think. I mean I'm not really cheering for either team since they aren't the Titans. But I've never really been a Packers fan, so yay Steelers? Gotta cheer for somebody, right? I'm supposed to go over to oldest sister's house to eat food and watch the game. Which probably means more Wii dancing or TMNT. Joey has this game called "Naughty bear" that is just awful! You're this bear who's like the outcast and doesn't get invited to this other bear's birthday party so you get mad and kill all the other bears. Instead of blood it's stuffing flying everywhere. It's ridiculous, and the narrator is British and he's all yelling "total defluffication!" when you kill them all. So disturbing but oddly satisfying.

yeah, i got nothing...

quick post since i plan to have a social life tonight - i know, shocker!

today was great, i actually got to work at both libraries and hang out with my superwoman boss. only a few 'magnet moments' which of course grandma (25 year old coworker) gave me crap for. she calls me a magnet cause i attract an interesting crowd. we'll go with that. "magnet, magnet, magnet..." yeah whatever, today was fun. i joked around with a patron who i've been growing closer to lately we're thinking of joining him for some karaoke. i love karaoke. it's a delayed...reaction specialty. i'll have to upload more of those videos later.

i ran up and down stairs at least 6 times all within like 15 minutes so major workout. feeling excited for tonight, burgers and glee with a friend, woohoo! there will probably be some drinking as well, should be fun.

so, today was fun. remember how yesterday i volunteered for three shifts because i'm crazy? apparently now i'm certifiable cause i did it again today. i feel a bit like ado annie but i'm fine with that. i like working there and i was just gonna work at the other library anyway, not a big deal, they switched around my hours. hopefully everyone will be healthy by tomorrow. i haven't been to the other library since like...saturday? maybe... yeah saturday. tonight i got to work with one of my favorite people so everything was all worth it.

we scanned all the adult paperbacks today and i was introduced to the wonder that is nascar romance. didn't know there was such a thing did you? me either, but i guess everyone needs love, even someone who drives around in circles for hours.

i spent the time between shifts working on my homework for saturday. i finished the graphic, now i just have to finish the paper. i have lots of notes - will have to work on it tomorrow during the day on breaks n lunch n stuff. that means it'll be take-your-backpack-to-work day. my boss was hilarious, i was rambling about the project cause i'm excited and i ramble when i'm excited...or frustrated or whatever which you've probably noticed...anyway i was like i just have to ramble for a page about it and she was like, "i wouldn't respect you if you couldn't ramble for a page." haha, oh the support. maybe i will upload a pic of the graphic once everything is all finished.

so excited for tomorrow night, actual plans that don't involve work. and i'll be able to follow thru because each branch closes at 6 on friday and saturday so i won't have to cover for anyone at night.

all for now, eating popcorn (supper) and watching some retro tv. can't say what as it will give away the title's origin. i will say that craig ferguson does an excellent impression of the main character. "did somebody say murder?!" i used to watch him every night for two whole years, craziness! but he's all different now that he's married and lost the sound machine. 'welcome back my cheeky monkeys' my favorite sound effect was the scream when he would do an impression of the 'scream' painting. too funny.

now i'm really out.

Anyway, today was just a rollercoaster. Went in this morning and since my boss is still sick and the Queen of Awesome (QofA for short) had to leave early I covered cause it's what I do. I went in 9-12 1-4 and 6-8 and each time we had maybe like ten patrons total. Totally slow day, until like 7:15 when this lady comes in and I helped her with stuff on the computer. Oh man. She was hysterical. So, I have a lot of favorite patrons, 2 main ones - 1 I talk to every day the other I see at both branches now - but tonight I think I met future me. She kind of reminds me of members of my family except she talks faster and louder and swears a lot, so basically me in the future. But I helped her with stuff and then she was talking very loudly and I'm pretty sure everyone in the library heard the whole conversation and when she left Space Cadet and I were talking. I was like, "That'll be me in 40 years." So Space Cadet was like, "but you'll use your inside voice...unless you're too deaf to hear it." She says that my hearing at 35 will be her hearing at 70 since I blast music in my headphones. Apparently that's bad for your ears. Who knew?

So today was Groundhog day. I had no idea. I don't really know much about it so I asked the Queen of Awesome and apparently the research she did for me crushed her hopes and dreams. I don't want to crush anyone else's but oh well, apparently, the groundhog can't see anything, it's actually a committee of 14 people who decide the answer. Sorry, QofA you're still the QofA. My only question now is do you think those 14 people are like weather people or psychics? I asked Space Cadet if they ever got it right she was like, "well they have a fifty percent chance!"

The upside to things being slow meant that I had time to think about my project due Saturday. Which, now that I have plans for Friday, means that I have to get it all done tomorrow. Not a big deal, just draw and paste pictures then ramble for a page. I think I can handle it. I'm actually kind of excited, we're supposed to do a visual representation of information literacy and I'm doing something with wheel of fortune. I think, anyway. Unless I come up with something better between now and tomorrow afternoon.

Now I'm starving and freezing. Food first, then blankets.

Gotta love watching TV online. I love Hulu, it's fantastic, it has all my favorite shows and it's free. But they stick you with these ads that are like ridiculous then ask if they're relevant to you. Car commercial, relevant? No. Different car commercial, relevant? No. Kay jewelry commercial, relevant? No. Open hearts jewelry commercial, relevant? No. Video game promotion, relevant? No. I was like, what's next? Different video game promotion?
Is it just me or is anyone else secretly waiting for the psycho killer to show up at the end of that "i'm right here and i always will be" storming outside kay diamond commercial? I think I watch too many crime shows. Speaking of, I caught up on Bones and I don't want to ruin anything for anybody else who isn't up to date but dude. Like duuuude. Big episode last week, I'm stoked for tomorrow's. Heather Taffet man! And I was starting to like her as an actress. She was in the Closer, Saving Grace and Criminal Minds as well - although I haven't seen the last one since I'm on strike. I'll spare you the rant. Again. But a serial guest star again, like Natalie! aka "bring it on old man" chick from RED aka Go Meat chick from the Hillshire Farms commercial who also guest spotted on all my favorite shows. Scroll down a few posts and you'll find who I'm talking about. In fact, Taffet and Natalie kind of remind me of one another. Maybe it's the red hair and bad attitude.

So the roads here are awful but Jarvis and I are still having fun. Except that it took FOREVER to scrape off the windshield this morning even though I used the self-start ten minutes before. Just have to start earlier tomorrow morning. But driving and seeing snow flying everywhere reminded me of sledding on the farm. You don't just have the sled you go all out with the 4-wheeler pulling you over hills and ponds and through the ditches. You just gotta hang on for dear life. Especially when your cousin runs you into a mailbox, my bad, sorry Megan. Or over the top of a car, again my bad Megan, but it was well worth it. And it's always fun when you get stuck in a pile of snow and step on the gas only to fly right through making the person on the sled get completely yanked off because it's so sudden. Awesome. Unfortunately I've missed out on the sledding so far since I've been working but I'll have to make up for it when I go home.
One of my favorite snow memories was when it snowed so much and it piled up next to the quanset - this building of ours so big it houses the combine and tractors and all that - and so I climbed all the way to the top and slid down. Mom totally flipped, like flipped. Dad just laughed and went inside to get the camera. I was fearless. There's a picture of me standing on top of this thing and it's not like a flat top building, it's rounded. That was probably a very bad idea. But I survived.
I also liked making forts, we did a lot of that in grade school. But no snowball fights, that was frowned upon, in grade school and high school.

Music currently jamming out to - "Don't know nothing" by Maroon 5. I love the rhythm of this one. I'm recommending their Hands All Over album again, it's fantastic.
Food thinking about eating even though it's after 11 - popcorn. mmm... popcorn.
TV show I will most likely fall asleep watching - NCIS first season, I'm back to the DVDs. I miss Kate. It's so weird seeing Sasha as a Medical Examiner now. And Angie Harmon is still a detective but she'll always be Lindsay Boxer to me. Yes I'm referencing Women's Murder Club. Get over it. But I do like Rizzoli and Isles, I'm waiting for the first season to come out on DVD. Should look into when it comes out. Oh well, job for tomorrow. I'm out.

Slept in, went to work, shelved books, came home, watched NCIS on USA - hooray for the season one marathon, I love Kate - went to nephew's basketball game, got updated on who was winning the SAG awards while at the game, came home from the game and watched the rest of the SAG awards and now am sitting on the couch staring at my computer screen. I'm exhausted. My nephew is actually quite good btw, very aggressive under the hoop, he made me proud. I hope I get to go to the games at my high school, every year they do a tournament with all the grade schools. I remember playing in those, oh man, and it seemed so much more fast paced at the time. But now just watching it's like, was it really like this when we played? Maybe it was and I'm just building it up in my mind.

The SAG awards were awesome, as always. I'm kind of an awards junkie when it comes to movies and music. I keep up with the nominations and the red carpet stuff, yeah I'm a nerd. But I'm very happy that Natalie Portman won for best actress and Colin Firth for best actor and then that the King's Speech won for best ensemble. That was very exciting, Colin's speech was funny. The speeches usually take so long, some people ramble longer than I do and I secretly want the music to start playing so that they'll go away but his was great.

I'm sad that Glee didn't win tonight but I mean, it's hard to beat Betty White in any category really. So, in their honor, I'll hit you with one of my favorite songs at the moment. They did this Rocky Horror episode in the first part of the second season (now out on DVD btw) which is probably the most well-known episode of the show. It was fantastic, and the music was fantastic. And it came out right before Halloween so Grandma (25-year-old coworker) and I went to go see the real Rocky Horror in a theater for Halloween and I think it scarred her for life. Haha, but it was hilarious because they're yelling out commentary, throwing toast, spraying water guns, so basically if you haven't already seen the movie you have no idea what's going on because you can't hear what they're actually saying. Since the movie really doesn't have much of a plotline anyway that makes things even harder to follow. Luckily I had already seen it so I kind of went with the flow. And I'm thinking about going again next year. It was just too funny. So, in honor of Glee and Rocky Horror I'll hit you with my music rec of the Glee version of Rocky Horror's probably best and most popular song the "Time Warp". Enjoy.

Said my coworker. I think that's a good summary of life right there. What else do we do in life besides color in some chicken feathers? Hmmm... oh the many places ZH could take that with her gazelle swagger. My favorite life statement is "black in the crevices." That's my life summary as stated by my sister - accidentally of course. She was getting me ready for my job interview, because apparently I couldn't be trusted to dress myself, and said my black nail polish was unprofessional or inappropriate or something so she attacked it with polish removal. Then was mad because she couldn't get it all gone. "There's still black in the crevices!" So I covered it with some silver. Because that's who I am. Still there, like the black, but hidden by who I want the world to see me as. How's that for psychology crap? Blame it on the Sociology minor. Took too many Behavioral Sciences classes in college.
And, she may have been right, I did get that job. Well, jobs.
Congratulations, now you have me saying you're right in writing. Hang on to this. I will deny it in the future.

Today was funny. I had a few more "magnet moments" that I'm still processing. How exactly do you interpret, "You're too cute to work in a library, you should be a teacher."?! What does that even mean? And how do you react to that when the say-er is standing in front of you waiting for a response? Um, thanks? Moving on.

After receiving mixed reviews and watching the movie go past my desk 4 times - I counted - I picked up "The Kids Are All Right" and checked it out. Grandma (25-year-old coworker) says it was good but she'd never watch it again, random library dude said it was brilliantly acted and directed. So I gave it a chance, and I think I agree with Grandma. I mean, there was excellent acting and it was a good storyline, but it's nothing that I want to watch over and over. I give it a 6/10 on the Scale of Awesome. Annette Bening deserves the Oscar nod, I think she'll give Natalie some competition. And I really like that the boy's name is "Laser" that's just awesome. But not as awesome as "the Chad" or "Batgirl" and speaking of Batgirl...

We totally had the Batman debate today at work - which is the best movie, which is the best villain - one of my favorite coworkers is an artist and he knows all about comics so it was cool hearing things from his point of view. But the funniest thing is we never even touched the two latest movies. It was all about the ones from the 90s and then the original series. It's like the newer ones are some seperate entity of their own or something. Although he did point out that Katie Holmes being in the new ones means that both of Tom Cruise's wives have been in Batman movies. (Nicole Kidman played Dr. Chase Meridian in Batman Forever).
Even though Drew is in "Batman Forever" I still have to go with "Batman and Robin" as my favorite. I know it flopped and it's awful and it's the reason that the franchise was delayed how many years but it's so funny! Arnold Schwartzenegger as Mr. Freeze I could take or leave, but Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy with her sidekick Bane - they made the movie! And the introduction of Batgirl, come on!! 8/10 on the S.O.A. I'm really wondering how many more prequels they're going to make. And if they're going to remake the ones already made. This next one has Catwoman in it and Bane. Which is interesting, because I didn't know there was a Bane without a Poison Ivy.

So I finished my homework early yesterday, usually I'd be scrambling at this precise moment since the deadline is midnight tonight. Feels good. Relaxing. Until tomorrow, when I'll read everyone else's and be like, crap. Comic relief, I'm tellin' ya. That's all I got going for me.

Working all day today means only halfday tomorrow and offday Monday. Whatever will I do with actual free time? I'll let you know. More later.

9-12 is fun, especially when half your family shows up out of nowhere. 2 aunts, 2 uncles and a sister. So funny. Scared the crap out of me actually, I'm in the young adult section and I hear this "psss...." and turn and there's like noone there. So I kept shelving and look over to see my Aunt Diane just looking at the books like she belongs there. It was one of those moments where you're like, I know you. But not in this context. So after a nice delayed reaction came the "oh my god, hi!" moment. Fun times. My aunts and uncles have decided to go to Alaska and want Mom and Dad to go as well. I'm wishing them luck with that. I mean Mom will be all for it, but Dad? Should be a challenge, but I promised I'd encourage him. So it was cool getting to see them since I don't as often anymore. Aunt Hay-Hay and uncle Bob are actually moving to Lincoln so she said she would sign up for a library card when they had everything official. Very exciting. After they left I'm shelving the holds and my sister shows up. It was like, were you all sent to check up on me or something? My boss was giving me crap, it was pretty funny.
Aside from all that the stupid "do the bookdrop" song was back in my head. It was followed closely by "All my exes live in Texas" which I sang in the jnonfiction section, not expecting there to be a lady there. She smiled. So I kept singing. haha.

Then, went to lunch with an awesome coworker. Pizza buffet of awesomeness and all for less than ten bucks. Excellent lunch with good company. Will have to do it again.

After jamming out in my car to some awesome Scissor Sisters music - compliments of the library, gotta love checking out cd's - I was actually productive and finished my homework for the week. We were supposed to read half a textbook and post our notes online. I beat the rest of my group so that's exciting. But I'm sure their notes will be much more thorough than mine and like betterly worded. Betterly. I like it. I'm sticking with it, yes I'm sure their notes will be betterly worded, can't imagine why, haha.

And my prize for being productive was to watch RED which came in the mail today. Score! "This is just like Love's Savage Secret!" I'm loving the special features as well. Definitely worth checking out.

Although everytime I see that chick I think of Charmed. She plays Natalie this awful whitelighter, I mean she's good at her job, but she's just an awful person who turns out okay in the end. But she puts the sisters through this bootcamp - this is back when Shannen was still on the show, post Cole's fake death but pre-Piper and Leo's wedding so season three I think it was called "Blinded by the Whitelighter" yes I am that sad, and wait it's about to get even more sad - anyway, bootcamp and she's like upset that they're not taking this certain demon as seriously as they should so she's like, "you need to prepare yourselves physically, spiritually, sartorially..."
"what?"
"she doesn't like our clothes."
"you need clothes that are loose and move. that means no more braless, strapless...fearless attire."
"okay, but then I have nothing to wear." Excellent Prue line there.
and then they're like practicing this battle sequence and Prue knocks the fake crossbow out of her hands -

The entire scene is just completely sarcastic and hilarious and that's why I stuck with the show all 8 seasons. Because every episode mixed in the comedy with the action and the drama and yes it was cheesy but hey, it was fantastic. I think that one is one of my favorite episodes of the series. And this Natalie chick - I don't know what her name is in RED or what her actual name is she's a perpetual guest star she's been in like Bones, NCIS, Saving Grace and all that but she's also in the "GO MEAT" commercials too which cracked me up. Everytime I see her I yell "NATALIE!" and everyone thinks I'm crazy. But this is my blog. I'm allowed to be crazy fangirl and since you're apparently still reading you're okay with that. Or you're okay with it enough to still be reading. So I will shutup and go to bed.
Cole is also in the movie, Julian McMahon, he plays the VP. Interesting. Okay, now really shutting up.

Today's Highlights:
-I killed a pig with a bird. It was very exciting and strange at the same time. Superwoman has this awesome app on her Droid called "Angry Birds" apparently it's really popular. You slingshot angry birds at pigs. They're so angry they crush the pigs under buildings and then explode. It's pretty wicked sweet. I'm just curious as to what the pigs did to piss off the birds so much that you fail if you don't kill them all. Yikes.
- I answered an instant message in Spanish. You can instant message the library with questions. This one was in Spanish. My high school Spanish teacher would be so proud. I actually have used it a lot at the library, I should work more on it so I can be better in the future.
- Went grocery shopping and bought a lot of good food that involves spending time in the kitchen. Yikes but good yikes. I will learn. and hopefully not take down my building in the process.
- Ate supper with sister and watched The A-Team. Hilarious. I forgot how much I like Liam Neeson. And Bradley Cooper was probably the best character, apart from the crazy guy anyway. Hilarious. I'd give it a 8/10 on my Scale of Awesome.

Tomorrow is half-day then cleaning apartment, doing homework, working ahead - because I don't during the week - and getting through some of these DVD seasons. I have multiple out and they're all due next week, except the one I got today Burn Notice season 1! Woohoo! Loving Michael Weston.
The weekend means possible girls night, more cleaning, more homework, more work work, and then a sister's night out for supper. Not in that order. But should be fun.

gloveless in nebraska

Do you know how uncool it is to be in the middle of a snowstorm with only 1 glove? Totally not cool. I guess I should rephrase, it's so cool it's frostbite material. I'm going to go with "not pleasant". It's totally not pleasant to be walking to work in the snow and realize you lost your other glove somewhere between the place where you're standing like an idiot and the other library where you had it on to do bookdrop. But at least I have a caring enough boss to let me know it's at the other library.
I got to be Team Awesome again with Girlscout today who, when she heard about the glove, said I could have pulled a Napoleon and put one hand inside my jacket (which is what I totally did. Screw looking like an idiot, at least I still have feeling in both hands this way). And, while a member of Team Awesome, all hell broke loose when our computer software we use for like everything suddenly stopped working. The patrons loved us for that, ha! but our virtual tech people are geniuses and they had it up and running again in minutes.
Think I'm gonna watch the latest episode of NCIS online then crash. I just watched the return of Agent Borin, I love Diane Neal but she will forever be Casey Novak to me. It's funny to see her carry a service weapon. And she's a redhead, future love interest for Gibbs? Hmmm...
