I walk onto a terrace where I think I'm alone, but Arthur Fonzarelli's got an army of clones.

Fonzi's been cloned.

Gotta post as many times as possible this week since I'll be off the radar for all of next week.

No wifi at camp and I can't exactly have my computer out when I'm surrounded by tiny children looking at me for direction.

Today flew by pretty quickly, though the night before was weird.

Remember how I was up super late doing homework?

Then for some reason I woke up like 2 hours later and decided it was time for work. I don't know if I dreamed my alarm went off or what but I'm like dragging myself around the apartment and look at the clock and go, what the crap?

Did the same thing in the morning. Woke up before the alarm and freaked thinking I was late.

Nope. Early.

And Superwoman texted me asking if I would work at the home branch in the morning.

Which I cheered at secretly because it meant I got to avoid the circus that was the work branch this morning.

Big huge open house for our new computer lab plus an at-capacity summer reading event up on 4th floor.

I was glad it was all over and cleared out by the time I got there.

Afternoon was spent doing supplies since I'm going to be gone and volunteer stuff since I'm going to be gone.

Then after work it was off the boyfriend's. Went to dinner and then Walmart to get ice cream. Though I ended up buying Ninja Turtles 1-3 - the classic versions from the 90's - on blu ray and the boyfriend got some stuff as well.

Walked around the train tracks for a while figuring out scheduling stuff for fall - I hate being an adult. When did we ever worry about scheduling when we were kids?

But I'm thinking if I work every remaining Saturday in August and then all of them in September she could give me a few off in October. Which might work with his schedule.

Maybe.

The problem is timing, he won't know for sure until later this month and my weekend plans are due Friday.

Well, Thursday cause I leave Thursday.

Just gonna guess and hope it works out okay.


Tomorrow is gonna be a big day. On professional leave for a huge webinar. And it's a destination webinar as I am visiting another library to participate.

It just happens to be the boyfriend's library.

So I'll get to see him after, huzzah!

Alright, I should sleep. Have to act all professional tomorrow and that requires at least 7 hours of sleep.

Nonstop, none of this wake up every two hours thinking it's time to go in crap.

Does anyone else do that? I feel like I do it like twice a year. Is that just me?

You know, I've heard a lot of excuses from patrons about breaking the rules.

But today's excuse was brand new.

There are a lot of situations that happen at the library that would make for really great sketches on SNL.

The New Girl and I have discussed this. We should just forward them some of our incident reports.

This incident didn't really warrant one, but still.

Guy was hitting on a chick in the lab.

The New Guy told him he couldn't be in the lab if he wasn't signed up to use a computer.

He followed him out and rambled on about him being free to do whatever and all that. "I was just getting my groove on..."

The New Guy was strong, he's a good supervisor.

I would have completely lost it at that point.

Wordie was there to witness it - as he always is.

I was on the phone but overheard the majority of the conversation so I didn't get to comment until after he had left.

Me: "I'm sorry, did he just tell you he was 'getting his groove on' in the lab?"
The New Guy: "Yeah, go get your groove on somewhere else."
Wordie: "You gotta leave your groove outside, inside you gotta be smooth."

He's a poet.

"Too mellow to be one fellow, should've been a dozen."

It's just little stuff like that that makes my day.

That and being semi-productive, even for a Sunday.

Heard back from my college professor today. I took Criminology in college and since the theme for teens summer reading stuff is going to be a night theme I asked about some of the presenters that came and spoke to us. She gave me some tips, I e-mailed them, now I just gotta wait to hear back.

Woohoo! Progress!

After work I headed back to my college town to babysit for Second Sister's children. We jammed at the house, played some Kirby on the wii, watched some Tom and Jerry. They're cute like that.

Even got soup out of the deal. She always makes homemade stuff - our grandma used to make the noodles and there would be so many of them that she had them like hanging off the backs of chairs cause all the tables were already covered with them.

We ate soup for weeks.

Then I got to drive back in the snow and only almost died twice, woohoo!

You know, there are few times in which taking the road untraveled is unwise.

Driving through unplowed snow is one of them.

I'm stoked I don't have to deal with it again until tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully by then the roads will be cleared.

Speaking of tomorrow, totally need to get started on all that homework stuff.

The first assignment isn't huge, but will be time consuming. Analyze three catalogs and compare and contrast under specific categories.

After that I gotta figure out this whole article thing, we're all supposed to find one or present one or I don't know, my brain is fried when I think about all the confusion that's going to take place in my near-distant future.

Sail on, Silver Girl

All day at the home branch with Joe Studley. He would have rocked it at trivia night, he's all about that stuff. It'd be interesting to do a library version of that. I'm already thinking about doing one for camp.

It was a good day, flew by pretty quickly. Usually, Saturdays are pretty slow, but today was ridiculously packed with people. And always when there was just one of us at the desk.

But Mom stopped by with some food for my fridge. She rocks. Or maybe she's just worried about my eating habits. Last time she checked my fridge it was filled with nothing but liquor. But that's cause I rarely drink it so it builds up.

Anyway, she brought me food.

And pop.

Best Mom ever.

After that it was movie night with the boyfriend. Or, TV on DVD night with the boyfriend.

Chuck Season One.

Cause it's awesome.

I miss this show, it was my life for months, got all the way to season three but had to wait for season four. Somewhere along the way I got distracted.

Anyway now I'm exhausted, so I'm out.

Oh Halloween. Candy and costumes galore but the highlight was definitely seeing my brother in law dressed as Joe Dirt in flannel and a blonde wig.

We jammed at the house watching Clue and Scooby Doo. "To make a long story short" "TOO LATE!" Both classic Halloween shows. We watch Clue every year at camp on the last night after our cheesy movies. It's just so fantastic, Tim Curry at his finest. Well, that and Rocky Horror. He's good with the Halloween cult movies.

I will have to watch Hocus Pocus tomorrow night after work. Along with writing my narrative. But it's only a page so I can handle that. Should probably figure out what class I want to take next semester as well, just waiting to hear back from Library Goddess.

Alright, off to watch Castle on DVR. Gonna be sweet!
