I could write a blog. I have thoughts.

Life at the library, adventures with friends and other hysterics...

I close my eyes and fly out of my mind, Into the fire

Felt like I was gonna pass out today at work.

I seriously thought it was appendicitis for a while cause I was burning up and every time I stood up I wanted to fall over.

Which killed the whole standing thing.

But of all the days to be in physical pain it happened to be the least busy of them all.

So that made it bearable I guess.

Think I had like 10 stats total, which is really bad since I was there all day.

Though technically the first hour I was guarding the music CD's - oh yeah, there's a guard desk now and it's only gonna get worse from there if the rumors are true - then I was at the front desk for a hour which is when I got all of my stats before leaving for lunch and then a meeting and then checking in 8 carts in the backroom in an hour leading into the final hour where we had like 10 people in the building total.

Ribfest, ugh.

I did get to see my adopted little sister though so the day wasn't a total waste.

And the meeting was good.

Our Youth Services crew is always amusing.

When talking about collection we told our commander in chief - aka Cabin Fever - to "buy the interesting ones and skip the boring stuff."

We're so specific.

And helpful like that.

But that's okay, she wouldn't be the commander in chief if she didn't know what she was doing.

So that was work.

After work I did some more laundry and attempted a Twin Peaks marathon.

I made it through one episode and went....that's messed up.

So no more of that.

Which is so WEIRD cause I'm usually all over those cult shows.

Cult show as in underrated, not as in, you know, like a show about cults.

Cause those are bad.

Cults, not shows about cults.

Though I'm guessing due to the subject matter those shows are also bad.

But possibly interesting.

If you followed that you're a genius.

I lost myself.

New topic.

Anyway, so to drown out all that weirdness I turned on some Wipeout - cause that doesn't have "weird" written all over it - and played some Lords of the Realm 2 - also doesn't scream "weird" even when played by a girl in 2013 sitting next to a cat shaved like a lion.

That's right, it's back!

Or it should be!

But I have a feeling if they tried to revamp it it'd turn out like the new You Don't Know Jack game.

Not as good as the original.

Yay 90's.

Don't like the new host.

Not the same.

Kills the whole game.

Anyway, I'm a nerd.

But you knew that, it's part of the reason you're here.

So nerdy in fact that the nights I don't spend with my boyfriend I spend with my cat playing video games, watching TV, editing or doing homework.

Cause other than that I really have no life.

Which is fine by me, actually I kind of prefer it that way.

Though this weekend has a lot going on. Golf tournament on Saturday followed by a softball tournament on Sunday.

That's right, 2G's at it again!! but this time we're on a new course. Hope their drink cart lady follows us around too.

Our drinking team has a golfing problem.

Cause we suck, but when there is liquor we don't notice we suck, we just get louder. And then everyone wants to join our team.

No, Pastor's pretty good, as is Homey G-Wigger now that she's got her Packer clubs.

But we really don't care about winning, our only goal is to beat Hillman and his team of ringers.

Although apparently Juwanna - aka the high school roommate - is playing this year so a new challenge.

It's on.

And that's all I got.

Must put laptop down so I can pack for massive weekend.

On to the music:

yay 90's.

I hate myself for loving you

So apparently, a guard cat Carter is not.

I mean, he can meow tough and stare boldly, but when it comes down to someone breaking into my apartment - someone being my sister and the breaking in was actually her using my spare key - his only defense mechanism was to lift his head, see it was her and go back to sleep.

Like eh, yes, I see you rifling through things, but I'm cute and fluffy and chasing you down would just bring great stress and tiredness and I just don't have the energy right now. I mean, I only slept like 7 hours last night, then went back to bed immediately after she left for work. I need my full 15 hours or I'm just not functional.

I know, his life is so rough.

So yes, I forgot my wallet this morning, which I didn't realize until I pulled up to the parking lot, reached for the key card in my wallet and went, well crap.

Then of course the library is blocked off for this big event so I had to park in the garage - making me late - but I don't have cash so I had to panic call Oldest Sister to see if she could bring my wallet so I could get out of the garage and into my actual lot.

So yes, I was late, by like a minute, think I walked in at 9:06 instead of 9:05 but I stayed late tonight helping this dude check out music books so we're covered.

Talk to Queen of the Known Universe, she's got my back.

As does the New New Guy (not to be mistaken with the Old New Guy)  He is now the damages king - aka Sir Damaged - so I was going over training stuff with him and that's just basically stuff that Fearless Leader and Queen of Awesome have taught me throughout the years.

Plus I got to see some of my favorite people, Oldest Sister came to bring my wallet, Adopted Little Sister stopped by as she does every month or so and I got a glimpse of the great KB this morning but after that she vanished. Will have to get lunch at some point or another when we're actually both there and available at the same time.

Water polo? Really?

Got a lot of air time, is it worth it?

Maybe it's just cause I haven't actually watched it. I just fast forward to like swimming, beach volleyball or gymnastics. Haven't watched any archery, though it does look interesting. You can thank Katniss for that spike in popularity.

Alright, aside from the forgotten wallet I did fairly well today, and look yet another pre-11:50 post time, but don't get used to it.

"Spy High-Five."

New shopping strategy:

Go shopping when you have to go to the bathroom.

You get what you need and you get the hell out of there.

No unnecessary spending.

So I got the flippin' 200 juice boxes.

And more pretzel logs. And I'll stuff them tomorrow and be done until the 1st.

Super stoked to start my day at the home branch.

It's morning there, then lunch, then back to the work branch for lots and lots of TAB prep stuff for the kickoff party.

After that I'll be ready to come home and crash.

Today was good though, got to jam with some of my favorites. Though it was mad crazy, ALL the time. But Summer Reading tends to do that.

Adopted Little Sister and her actual little sister stopped by today as well so got to chat with them. Always fun to see friends hitting up the library.

And I braved the vending machine again. Last time I tried anything aside from pop this happened: Just Say No! To Vending Machine Orange Juice

So I tried tea this time. I told the Newest New Guy that if I keeled over and died this is what caused it and to never follow my example. But it turned out okay. Might be my new morning thing actually, kinda diggin' it. And it's cheap. And it's there. And I don't have to drive places. To pick it up.

What else was good about today?

Oh yeah, one of our summer people is back. For the summer. Obviously. But she's fantastic and lots of fun to train. And she works at the home branch as well.

Song of the day:

Cool cover.

"Sweet Home Alabama" Igor Presnyakov

Did it.

PS - I'm back to Chuck. Got the fifth season a couple weeks ago but have been putting it off as it's the final season. Which means once I watch it then it's officially done. And I don't want it to be officially done. Same reason I have yet to watch Women's Murder Club unaired pilot. Cause I've seen all the aired stuff. This way there's still something and it's not over and done with.

"honey, you're scaring me."
"just keep it moving."

Ellie is planning Chuck's wedding, scaring Morgan and Awesome in the process. I'm on last disc of season four. I always keep the last disc unwatched when I'm waiting for the next season to come out on DVD. Cliffhangers are just mean.

OUT!
