I could write a blog. I have thoughts.

It's a green, it's a green, it's a green green light...

So weird hearing Beth Riesgraf call someone else Parker.

Even if she did preface it with Ranger.

Anyone else watching Killer Women?

Just got caught up.

She's the reason I DVR'd it in the first place. Though it is interesting watching Carla from Burn Notice play on Team Justice.

aka the good guys.

She was kind of a bitch on Burn Notice.

Today's a good day cause work flew by and now I'm back to editing.

One of my life's true joys. Writing, editing, the whole process. As long as it isn't homework that is.

I'm a nerd, but I'm not that big of a nerd.

I actually just took a break to eat and watch Killer Women but I'm headed back to the story after I post.

It's fun playing editor because you're a part of the story, but it's still able to shock you cause you don't know what's coming.

Nerd.

Get used to it.

The only problem with editing is that it gives me motivation to go back to my old stuff.

And then I get distracted.

Priorities.

I will finish that damn apartment story at some point or another.

go here.

The sad thing about that list that out of the 10 only Jax is finished.

And that's cause it was for an assignment.

Yes, I wrote about an assassin for an assignment.

And I passed.

Take that world.

To be fair Sketch and Edit are never ending.

And I should really send Sketch the unpublished ones cause I have lots.

Well, I guess I could change Life of a Teenage Writer, stick Kate in an apartment instead of a house and use that....

But that would be cheating.

Hmmm....

Just need to actually set aside time and work on it.

But gotta finish editing first.

So, music and I'm off.

Just cause I can and they're stuck in my head:

Bright Lights Bigger City/Magic - Treblemakers

Price Tag/Don't Forget About Me - Barden Bellas

looking forward to the sequel.

legit pre-midnight post, holy crap tag in use.

oo, apparently christina ricci is doing a lizzie borden movie on lifetime. she and jimmy kimmel are arguing if she's guilty or not. apparently his book saying she's innocent trumps her online research saying she's guilty.

way to go books.

okay last clip i promise.

hysterical. love it. new song to sing while driving.

"You don't look old."

When the boyfriend gets sick my Monday nights consist of:

Laundry.
The Voice.
Laundry.
Castle.
Laundry.
The Blacklist.
Homework.
Laundry.
2 Broke Girls.
Laundry.
Posting.
Sleeping.

Though sleeping almost happened about 5 things ago.

Today had its moments.

The best of which was courtesy of a tiny tiny child.

Okay, she wasn't so tiny.

I had these two girls signing up for library cards with their mother. While I'm typing in the information about the first one I say something like "whenever I see a 2008 birthday I feel super old."

The girl squints at me for a second and comes back with, "You don't look old."

Made my day.

Gave her a sticker.

Then BossLady had to ruin it.

Back when I was still at the home branch working with the Queen of Awesome I had this kid tell me I looked 31.

I was 24.

Which I brought up to BossLady and she said something to the effect of kids can't tell the age of anyone "this side of twenty."

Which cancelled out my "you don't look old" comment.

Thanks for that boss.

Other than that the day was a blur. Though I do remember submitting my monthly narrative and stats.

But that's about all.

Tomorrow is back to a half day with practicum. Yay!

New Favorite Commercial

It needs more than this, less of this.

I enjoy her. Especially when she hosted SNL, that was amusing.

Just a couple highlights from tonight's episode.

You and I - Briana Cuoco

yes that is who you think it is. if she makes it through to the live rounds she'll have her whole sister's fanbase behind her.

girl power.

Thrill is Gone - Monika Leigh

MANFIGHT!

"that's great maybe ya'll can go out on a date."

still working on my top 20, but these 2 are on it.

out. legitimate pre-midnight post, holy crap tag in use.

There will be an answer, Letter B.

Quote of the day comes from the Things Overheard at the Library section:

"I'll put some paint over it, they'll never know the wall was burned."

I absolutely hate this commercial.

But I still can't get over the kids in the end.

An awkward of awesome.

Reminds me of all the other obnoxious commercials that make me want to throw things.

Which takes me back to hanging out at my great aunt's house all the time after school and her threatening to throw rotten tomatoes at the Menard's guy.

An interesting day at the library. Made a lot of progress on TAB stuff. Big meeting tomorrow. Planning our holiday party for Saturday and also picking out the Summer Reading Kickoff activities. I have a list, but you're creative. Any suggestions for fun activities to do with kids ages 2-12? The theme is something to the effect of "dig into reading" or something like that. Thinking treasure maps, crafting fossils, that sort of stuff. But it doesn't have to be theme-related.

Though it'll be hard to top bat goggles.

They were pretty sweet.

Maybe carrot hats will do the trick.

But probably not.

As for the holiday party - Think we'll end up ordering pizza. They want eggnog. Which sounds just gross. But hey, it's their party.

Anyway, thinking about making some fun holiday cards and taking them to a nursing home. Or The Mission. Or maybe I'll let them keep them and give them to their own families. It's up for debate.

So that was basically my day. Working at the desk while planning for the meeting tomorrow so that tomorrow there will be less freaking out-age.

Though I still get nervous. No idea why, they're cool kids. Though this time got a supervisor sitting in.

Big potatoes man, gotta be on my game.

Eh, I'll wing it.

On to the music.

So, The Voice was on tonight. Semi-finals. Things are a bit different this year because of the whole it doesn't matter who your coach is new twist. See last year and the year before each coach had a contestant in the finale because everything was broken down by the teams so whoever on each team got the least amount of votes got kicked off, but with the twist this year anyone can be voted off, no matter the team.

Which led to Xtina and Adam being kicked out before the semi-finals. Now Blake has two - Cassadee and Terry - and Cee-Lo has two - Trevin and Nicholas.

But now, instead of all four being honored and them going through 4th place, 3rd place, 2nd place, winner, tomorrow someone gets eliminated and it's down to three. And then that will be the finals.

Last year they did duets with their coaches, wonder how they're planning on doing that this year.

Aaannd guess who's making a guest appearance?!?!! JULIET SIMMS!! The fantastic and majestic. Now with Cee-Lo as a manager, that's a first so it's huge.

I would be content with any of them winning. They're all great. Though Cassadee still is my favorite and number one on my top twenty. And Trevin is number 2. Glad my top two made it. And Terry was on my honorable mentions but I can't believe I didn't put him higher, he's fantastic. "I wanna know what love is" is my favorite song this entire season.

He did great tonight as well.

So, apparently, growing up my brother thought the lyrics were "Letter B" instead of "Let It Be".

You can see how that can be mistaken, right?

Speaking words of wisdom, Letter B.

There will be an answer, Letter B.

Shine until tomorrow, Letter B.

Wow. Is is really only 11?

I think it's this whole no homework thing. I feel like something's missing.

And, okay, I lied. There's a tie for quote of the day. That one and:

"Si, Gracias por la hoagie."

Max Black.

Is epic.

Think I could dedicate an entire post to Max-isms.

Hmmm....an interesting thought.

OUT!

and yes, holy crap tag in usage due to the pre-midnight post.

dudes, you're on your own!

I only went in for 2 hours but it still felt like an eternity.

Don't know why, must have been just one of those days.

Sleeping in was nice. Got up around 11, made some lunch and watched Grimm.

Which is good cause Once Upon a Time season one came in for me today at the library.

After a few episodes I went in, then out to dinner with Oldest Sister for her birthday - we hit up an Indian joint. I have a box of leftovers that I of course left in her fridge. We went over there after dinner to watch the Avenger's blooper reel.

I own it but have yet to open the box.

Then came the joy that is homework. Finished one assignment and posted to some discussion boards. Only one more assignment that's not due until Friday and I'm gold.

Now I'm watching Castle. Dude, it's Jacobi! Totally screamed. I'm sure my neighbors were less than enthused. Carter jumped.

Sadly it wasn't as pathetic as the scream that came immediately following my recognition of Paula Newsome on Bones. Which was literally a split second before she slammed the blinds shut. Meaning I saw her eyes and that was all.

Did I mention I was a nerd?

If you have no idea who I'm talking about go to 0:37 here:

She's been in all the census commercials too and she plays Vance's wife on NCIS.

but it still comes back to Women's Murder Club.

Speaking of, official start date anniversary is coming up. I have Sketch's giant artwork hanging on my door to remind me. It's pretty sweet, pretty sure I posted it at one point or another though I'll repost it on actual date.

Yes, I'm aware this is totally lame.

I did enjoy dinner with Oldest Sister, talked a lot about dating and all that. Apparently Squirt has a new boyfriend and she's in high school so it's so the drama.

But that's all I got for the day.

Back to an all day shift tomorrow so I should crash soon.

Only 11:40 but I'm zonked. Hopefully will able to stay conscious until the end of Castle.

i especially love 1:00-1:07

"again my name is ronald, total eclipse of the heart."

maybe i should hold off posting for another 3 minutes and it'll be a real 11:50.

except I'd never remember cause about 90% say it's 11:50 and it's a bunch of crap.

cause it's way after but i still want it listed as today's.

eh.

posting now, sleeping after.
