Kicked stats ass today.

In the upper 40s.

We're keeping individual stats online now. Basically, every time you help someone in person, over the phone, online, and all that cause apparently we had lower stats listed than the home branch.

And the home branch gets like half the circulation.

Probably cause we forgot to tally them.

My bad.

But now that it shows up on the schedule I actually remember to do it.

That's all I really remember about today. Aside from screaming and coughing children. Updating my scavenger hunt.

Which is tomorrow.

Hope it doesn't suck but I really need to stop changing things. I'm overanalyzing again.

Scale of Awesome puts it at around 8/10 though I won't watch it again. Super long and not something you want to watch over and over.

Not that it's boring it's just one of those that once you've seen it then you've seen. it.


definitely deserved the golden globe for best actress but it was another one of those "hey that's whats-her-name" - not the GG winner, the other female. Usually I can figure out who it is by a twang or accent or a turn of a head, mannerisms. Or just google which is what I'm doing now.

How morbid does it make me that this morning I kept skipping songs on the ipod-plugged in stereo claiming if I was to die in a tragic car accident that that song wouldn't want to be the last song I ever listened to?

Made for an interesting morning.

Usually it takes me 11 minutes to get to work so I figured if I made it down to the parking lot 30 minutes early I'd have enough time to dig myself out and drive slowly to work.

Didn't work that way.

Too much ice under the tires and every time I gunned it I kept moving more and more to the right. Which wasn't good cause there was a car right next to me. So I panic called my brother in law who then came over and dug me out.

Such a good guy.

1 hour later I was 4 blocks away, following a truck that kept getting stuck in the middle of intersections. Every time his two teenage sons would jump out and attempt to push him through but it would take so long that the light would turn red and they had to move him back .

You would think that a pickup with a snow plow on the front and snow blower in the back would be a bit more reliable.

And I assumed that particular road would be plowed exceptionally because it's so busy but I guess tomorrow I'll be taking the highway.

So I was late for the staff meeting. As were Slim Shady and my Trainee. Plus Queen of the Known Universe and the Library Judge missed the day all together.

What else? Oh, first day for our new Assistant Director. Thought she would introduce herself during the staff meeting but she was probably busy catching up on AD stuff put off for the last couple months. She was my teacher this semester - the one that let us out 2 hours early each time - but as she didn't introduce herself I'm okay with missing the meeting.

And that's pretty much it. Lots of off desk time today so not many highlights. Gave SuperWoman her present. Every year I get her something Angry Birds related since she got me hooked. Stuffed one that make noise, calendar, this year it's christmas ornaments.

I know Sketch doesn't like him but I bought his xmas CD anyway and it rocks. Week before I bought the Blake one as well. No Adam but is guest appearance by Christina Aguilera.

Really gonna miss her on the Voice. Shakira, while highly entertaining - second CD I remember buying with my own money, first was Spice Girls - is just very different style-wise, but it should be interesting to watch.

I'm still here, Smo stayed over and as it's kind of rude to post when someone's here I went off the radar for a couple nights.

But now you're stuck with me again, so a couple things you missed:

Thursday: Worked all day, of course, bit of a different schedule though. Food Drive brunch in the morning, followed by pickup up 14 barrels and distributing throughout the system. Took us a few hours but we got them all out and talked to the supervisors. Doesn't start until the 1st so at the moment they're in the backroom until further notice.

Still gotta figure out some poster stuff to send them. As we can't fundraise on library property I'm thinking something like, "The library branches are having a competition to see who can create the best statue. Donate and help your branch win the prize." or something to that effect. Better worded. I'll work on it.

After that the day was basically cake, off at 5 then hit up hit up Bubby's baseball game after that. Oldest Sister was gone so I had to do book, and will again a couple times this week. Did okay, until the other team switched their batting order without telling me. That went well. But we fixed it so we're good.

Friday: Smo slept over Thursday night and woke up super early to do her golf thing Friday morning. I, however, slept in 'til about noon, awesomeness, woke up and watched some SVU. Got season 12, again, this time with no cracked disc. Glad I ordered a different one, would have missed AJ/JJ and the awesomeness that is Debra Messing.

After that met up with Smo/Juwanna/Wordsmith for some icecream and went to another of Bubby's games. Got some good hits, they won them both, hoping they'll win this week so they can make it to the tournament. Then went to Juwanna's place for some waffles and watch the beginning of SC kicking Arkansas's butt, woohoo!

Championship games start Sunday night, SC's gonna rock it. And Juwanna's cooking rocks.

Saturday: 9-6 but it flew by pretty quickly. Short amount of staff on the weekends means if there's people there we're fairly busy. Came in spurts, but I got to work with some cool people so we had fun. Off for the night so just finished SVU, now on to GCB. Gotta stay awake until the boyfriend calls. Besides, good to fly through ILLs, keep running into things I want to ILL before the official changeover. Rocket Power is one of them, that's next on my list. Maybe Freakazoid.

Aww, Castle, that show is so fantastic. and Revenge, I want to watch that. Sorry, previews.

Oh yeah, forgot about this one.

Dear Blogspot,

Today I was totally productive.

Even more so than usual.

As I’m a big girl now, that apparently comes with responsibilities. Some of these have not yet been announced or I would be freaking out about them on here…although if you saw who I was shadowing and meeting with today then you probably already know. And it’s not like big big stuff. Okay, well some of it is. But it’ll be enough to keep me busy and freaked out for the next few years. Might take a while to adjust, but maybe it’s about time for a changeup.

Even though I’m still in changeup mode, switching from 20 to 40. Well, 35 to 40. With 38 at the work library and only 2 at the home library. I’m hoping the 2 hours there will continue on, but now that they have their new staff who knows what will happen.

Okay, aside from meetings and shadowing and then meeting with supervisors to talk about other stuff I also signed up for a parking spot, woohoo!

Then came home, made supper, did a bunch of computer stuff and watched some more Leverage. Still waiting on season two so I’m stalling until it gets there. Starting season three without watching it is feasible, but I’d rather watch it in order.

And that was today.

Tomorrow should be fun.

Staff meeting in the morning where hopefully all the changes will be announced and explained.

With the stuff that’s being handed out I’m shocked the supervisors weren’t losing their minds with all that they had to handle. Granted they got paid the big…well, bigger bucks, to do it. But still, that’s a lot of stuff.

Then I get yet another meeting with supervisors from different branches about a thing that I’m being put in charge of.

Again, I’ll explain more tomorrow. And prepare to get nervous and freaked out ramblings, I excel at those.

Okay, what else? Oh yeah.

Squirt now has a blog. And it’s gonna smash both mine and her mother’s down like the hand of god. She’s funny stuff. You should check out her “The End of Barbie and Ken” story, it’s highly amusing.

I’m just stoked for Day 12.

This one is an excellent dance song. It’s actually on Dance Dance Revolution, the 3rd one I think. I don’t remember, I own a lot of them. I’ll have to remember to take them to the farm for the 1st. P Squared and me usually rally and do some of those, along with some SSX Tricky and lots of sparkling cider.

And apparently it’s well known as well. I posted a lyric from it as a blog title and it got more hits than most of my others.
