You wear those shoes and I will wear that dress

It's weird, I've spent more days at my apartment this week than I've spent at work.

This whole sick thing sucks.

But I'm going in tomorrow no matter what.

I've got good drugs - I'm actually about 90% better which is substantially more than the 60% I was feeling the day I attempted to go but went home mid-day.

So, today.

Got half my homework done. Did all the reading and paper to go with it, now all I have left is the presentation. Which I've started.

Sort of.

I mean, I found some of the information.

Now I just have to input it into a powerpoint and figure out what I'm gonna say.

It's seriously like a 5 minute thing max so I'm not too freaked.

I've got time tomorrow night to finish it, at the moment I can't really take anymore cataloging jargon and codes.

Aside from being semi-productive I actually got around to watching Moneyball.

It was fantastic!

Usually I'm not a big fan of movies that Jonah Hill is in.

It's nothing against him, I think he's a great actor, I just am not a fan of his movies.

Does that make sense?

I dunno, Knocked Up, Grandma's Boy, all that crap, not really my thing. Sorry.
Though I did like Accepted. "I don't want to be here alone when the walls start to bleed!"

But in this one, when he was a serious actor, that was impressive.

And Brad Pitt is always a pretty method actor so I thought it was fantastic.

I'm a baseball fan, though not of the A's so I didn't know much about the storyline. It's actually pretty cool.

Basically Brad Pitt's character is the General Manager of the Oakland A's - this was like the 2002 season - and they had lost three of their greatest players. So, he's working on recruiting new people with his team of scouts and basically comes across Jonah Hill's character in the process of talking to other team's coaches about trading people.

Jonah's character is Peter Brand and he's more of a statistics person. He follows this math-based approach of recruiting so Brad basically hires him as his assistant and they start recruiting all these people that got overlooked by other scouts because of the way they throw or run or whatever.

I won't give away the rest of the storyline but it was actually really interesting and accurate, apparently. They didn't throw in a mass amount of comedy or drama to change the real life story.

Scale of Awesome says 8/10. Not something that I'd want to watch over and over and over, but it was really interesting and I had to watch it all the way through.

Yeah, not a lot of other things to do when you're sick other than watch TV and sleep.

So, at some point during this week I've watched that, Real Steel and The Debt.

Real Steel was good, I was looking forward to seeing it since I first saw the preview like a year ago. Jackman was a boxer, but in the future people want to watch robots fight instead because it is more intense so he has this robot, and of course because you have to add in drama he owes a lot of money to people. After his girlfriend dies he has to take custody of their son and he's awful, doesn't know anything about parenting. But the kid likes robots so they bond and all that.

It was alright, not as good as I thought it would be, I'd give it about a 7/10.

And then The Debt. Anything with Helen Mirren is worth watching, even Arthur had its moments. The storyline jumps back and forth between the present and the past when she was a part of a 3 man team to capture a really bad guy and take him back to their country to be tried. After this mission they became these legendary agents and her daughter writes a book about the experience but it's false cause what they say happened isn't really how it went down. Now they have to fix it, etc.

It was interesting, but again not something I will watch over and over. Another 7/10 cause it was interesting and mysterious.

Dear Blogspot,

Today I was totally productive.

Even more so than usual.

As I’m a big girl now, that apparently comes with responsibilities. Some of these have not yet been announced or I would be freaking out about them on here…although if you saw who I was shadowing and meeting with today then you probably already know. And it’s not like big big stuff. Okay, well some of it is. But it’ll be enough to keep me busy and freaked out for the next few years. Might take a while to adjust, but maybe it’s about time for a changeup.

Even though I’m still in changeup mode, switching from 20 to 40. Well, 35 to 40. With 38 at the work library and only 2 at the home library. I’m hoping the 2 hours there will continue on, but now that they have their new staff who knows what will happen.

Okay, aside from meetings and shadowing and then meeting with supervisors to talk about other stuff I also signed up for a parking spot, woohoo!

Then came home, made supper, did a bunch of computer stuff and watched some more Leverage. Still waiting on season two so I’m stalling until it gets there. Starting season three without watching it is feasible, but I’d rather watch it in order.

And that was today.

Tomorrow should be fun.

Staff meeting in the morning where hopefully all the changes will be announced and explained.

With the stuff that’s being handed out I’m shocked the supervisors weren’t losing their minds with all that they had to handle. Granted they got paid the big…well, bigger bucks, to do it. But still, that’s a lot of stuff.

Then I get yet another meeting with supervisors from different branches about a thing that I’m being put in charge of.

Again, I’ll explain more tomorrow. And prepare to get nervous and freaked out ramblings, I excel at those.

Okay, what else? Oh yeah.

Squirt now has a blog. And it’s gonna smash both mine and her mother’s down like the hand of god. She’s funny stuff. You should check out her “The End of Barbie and Ken” story, it’s highly amusing.

I’ll find more of those after this whole alphabet thing is over. Plus the 12 Days of Xmas. There’s so many freakin’ Christmas Songs out there, I’ll have to post at least 12 of those. I’m just stoked for Day 12.

This one is an excellent dance song. It’s actually on Dance Dance Revolution, the 3rd one I think. I don’t remember, I own a lot of them. I’ll have to remember to take them to the farm for the 1st. P Squared and me usually rally and do some of those, along with some SSX Tricky and lots of sparkling cider.

And apparently it’s well known as well. I posted a lyric from it as a blog title and it got more hits than most of my others.

I hated when Glee covered this song. No idea why. I mean, they did a great rendition, I think it was just the video that went along with it. Rachel and her dramatics. But it was cool to have all three guys picking up on different verses.

It's just been one of those, one of those days...

Rollin' with my gnomies. Yep. Painted another one today. Think it's gonna be my thing. Cool Aunt always paints grapes on things. I'll just paint gnomes. I'll have an army of them. Yeah, Gnome Army. I like it. Rollin' with my gnomies. What? It's not like it's an army of clowns or something.

okay. got distracted for about 20 minutes watching clips. must move on.

So, today. 11-2 shelving. Then painting. Then came back and CLEANED MY APARTMENT! heck yeah! vacuum and broom included. Although I still need to dust. And clean the bathroom. But the main room, kitchen and bedroom are golden.

Along with that cleaning I'm also cleaning out my DVR. I've taped all the pilots to a bunch of shows that I wanted to check out but have yet to get around to them. I kept the good ones that I'll attempt to watch soon aka Once Upon a Time, Unforgettable, and Grimm but deleted Pan Am, and some old episodes of shows I've already seen. I am keeping however, all the episodes of Castle, Bones, 2 Broke Girls and all that.

If you haven't seen 2 Broke Girls yet you should check it out. Monday nights on CBS. It's fantastic. Max is my new hero. Her personality is very similar to the voice in my head. She has all the best lines. Like stuff you really want to say to someone but refrain cause you know, you're a nice person or want to make it seem like you're a nice person.

I'm a nice person.
